Just a few weeks later the city went into lock down. When the market reopened post-pandemic I would always check to see if he was back and was concerned he wouldn’t return, since it had been several months since the reopening. “Sandwich and pretzels were fresh! Pretzels are like the ones we made growing up. Liked the cranberry twist to a choice as well. However, one regular was a bit overcooked. The gal that waited on us was very nice. Great stop! If you’ve never had homemade soft pretzels (not the game day kind) - then it’s a must stop!“

“The journey to this bake shop is a story.

We drive into an Amish farm and saw no cars parked, nor a sign telling us where the bakery is. We drive deeper into the barn, almost knocking over the family dog. There were some dogs in cages barking at us, not sure if it was to welcome us, or to warn us.

We saw a guy who seem to work there, or owns the place. He told us that we went too far in, and said “turn around, it’s the red shed”.

We turned the car around, again, looking around to see which of those could be the bakery. We saw a hand written board “open”.

We go in. Shelves were almost empty except for a few trays of whoopie pies and some fry pies in the refrigerator. No one was inside except a box saying “self service”. “Interesting” we thought. Never have we seen such an establishment that was based on trust.

OH yes, how were the pies you say? SO GOOD. Just gotta bake them real good for a little. The whoopie pies are also really moist and cream not coyingly sweet.“

“This was a cute little stop, we made while on a GuntherTour Bus day trip. The driver and bus chaperone got off the bus, walked up to the pickup window and was given a sticky bun for all the passengers. We thought it was a bakery that we could go into and look around and make our own purchases. You can only walk up, view the menu and order, because it's gives a walk up only vibe, which is okay, it was definitely a nice add on to our day of visiting many factories on our Sweet Treat Tour.“

“Spending three days in Lancaster, Passenger Roastery & Coffee Bar was by far the best latte and pastry I had while exploring the county. Popping in on a July Thursday morning, here's my experience.

1) Coffee: The menu is simple. They have the basics, but that's how you know it's quality coffee. My latte was perfectly balanced, creamy, and highlighting the espresso in it.

2) Food: Their ham and cheese turnover is excellent. They warm it up for you. There are fennel and a few other things on top making it unique.

3) Service: It's excellent! Both baristas were kind, efficient, and warm.

4) Space: It's small, but beautiful. There are a few seats inside and out and a restroom inside.“
