I don't understand why anybody would want to go to a fast food restaurant and get garbage ingredients making Corporate America richer when you can go to a family Diner and have better quality food hot and fast. The amount of time that it takes you to sit in the Drive-Thru you can order burger and fries at this little local spot run over to the dollar store to get whatever you need and then come back and it's all ready for you to eat if you get a cheeseburger deluxe with french fries it's the same price that you would be paying with a bigger burger and fresher vegetables then at a fast food restaurant!!! I have eaten here for breakfast and lunch multiple times over the years. I like going Saturday mornings with my co-workers just to sit down and have conversation and to relax. I wish they still had the dividers up between the booths that's the only reason why I gave it a four stars for atmosphere. It does get crowded on Saturdays so maybe you might want to do it Friday morning breakfast like my supervisors. breakfasts are excellent and affordable I can't share any pictures because I already ate it“

“Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!“

“One of York’s hidden gems! We have eaten here several times and have never had a bad meal. In my opinion, consistency is what will bring you back to a restaurant time and time again. The Roosevelt Tavern is definitely one of those places. Atmosphere is very nice, quiet with great music in the background where you can actually have a conversation while enjoying your meal. “Overall service was great, waitress was good, service was good food was good. Ordered a spinach/cheese appetizer to go, was bagged ready to go but when we opened it 1 1/2 inch of dip ! N a small bowl with a half of a large bag of chips already opened, we only needed about 4 chips to eat it“

“Food: The food (for the most part, there are a couple of items on the menu I'm personally not a big fan of) is pretty good & comes in nice big serving sizes (again, for the most part).

Price: It's generally about the same price or a bit cheaper (depending on what you get) as most fast food restaurants, except this is a diner/cafe & you are getting a decent bit more food per dollar.

Building/ Parking: It's a pretty tiny building with pretty limited parking (you can always find some parking somewhere nearby), but it's clean & decently maintained.

Staff: They're cool people, nothing extraordinary, but also nothing bad I've experienced so far (I've been several times).

Overall: This place is pretty good. If you are looking for breakfast (or potentially lunch) in Middletown, (from my experience) either here or the Brownstone Cafe are your best options (If you have a big party like 6+, I'd probably go to the brownstone, but just 1-4, here is really nice & there's typically not much of any wait like the Brownstone).

“Went on a busy Friday night but hostess was able to accommodate myself and two daughters. I was in a rush and was pleasantly surprised by the speed of service by the wait staff and kitchen. Everyone was pleasant, food was excellent (kids had burgers and fries and I had the chicken sandwich). Had a long drive home and we arrived at 7:15 and left by 7:50 with full bellies, fun atmosphere, great staff… which was ideal! Highly recommended!“

“We went on 2/8/25. Staying at the Hampton inn for a dance comp. Our waiter, unfortunately l, didn’t catch his name was absolutely AMAZING! More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. “Came here for my Daughters Birthday around 2 so we could beat the “traffic”, plus there was 7 of us! Trista, our server, was at the table and ready to go. Not pushy but timed, she managed the timing for the whole meal. Was so pleasant, never missed a beat. Glasses were always full and Trista even remembered my daughter’s Birthday Treat. We had a mixture of food stuffs, like having the shrimp appetizer for my entree, Burgers, Rivs and of course, steak! When we arrived they only had 1 server on and 1 bartender plus the restaurant was already pretty full. Stacey took on the challenge and she nailed it. “This is not just a bar. Kelly made us feel like we had been old friends. I cannot say enough about the delicious food. The lunch menu is out of this world. I would tell you if you are looking for great food and a place go to Alley Oops Sports Bar & Grill is where to go. I will definitely do the hour drive and come back again to try the crab cakes that Kelly suggested. 👍“

“This was the first time that my wife and I ordered from 3rd Base, and while all we ordered was a Cheeseburger Sub and an order of fries, let me tell you that our dining room was eerily silent for 5-10 minutes as we both were so impressed and surprised at how damn good our meal was, that we didn't talk, share, or otherwise allow any outside interference as we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. To me, the food is quintessentially some of the best Central Pennsylvania comfort food around and we are thrilled that the menu prices for burgers, subs, and appetizers were lower than expected, even though the quality and quantity of the portions were well above average. “I love Kelly Inn From the Owners to the staff. They remember what your food order are as well as your drink and treat you like family. I always dine alone and they made sure I was comfortable and checked on me, now mind you I normally get the jumbo crabs and thier Neptune pasta platter which is filled with huge shrimps and real scallops so I have plenty to eat, even with that they stop and check on me. I have to travel 30 minutes to get there but it so worth it and if you haven't had their Cosmo its so delicious thank you from the bottom of my heart I truly enjoy my visits with you“
