“Food was absolutely delicious at this little hole in the wall restaurant (take out mostly) in the heart of one of Pennsylvania’s many armpit towns (Marcus Hook, with Breezewood being another). The chicken catchitorie was absolutely a delight. I will return in the future. Oh, and there is a large free parking lot across the street from the restaurant to park in, so you don’t have to worry about the local yokels hassling you on the metered spaces on the main street. We dined in and that is why only 3 stars on atmosphere. It was clean but very spartan, no artwork or any thing, no fancy lighting, but again I feel this caters mostly to the takeout crowd.Parking: about 30 spots all unmarked, just park!“
“Katiey was excellent! Katiey is a wonderful server. She offers suggestions, and asks which particular type of sauce and meal you prefer. She is sweet, happy and welcoming. She refilled drinks before we requested and brought everything we needed for our meal. It was a pleasure being served by Katiey and we will ask for her every time we return!! Throughly enjoyed our visit! She is a credit to your staff!Wheelchair accessibility: My stepdad was able to access the restaurant easily. He was able to use his wheelchair at dinner without a problem.“
“La Fia always delivers. The menu is season and each dish is always an amazing combination of flavors and texture. Get any of their pasta dishes, for years they are packed with such inventive flavors and the pasta is expertly cooked al dente. The duck confit has been on the menu for years and we never tire of it. Same for the octopus. La Fia has been our favorite restaurant for years.“
“Scalessa’s is exactly as it sounds. Old school Italian Sunday dinner style meals & sandwiches. The Chicken Marsala is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Try it with a side of gnocchi (delicious) or even their spaghetti. The chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe sandwich is delicious. The staff is always friendly. The chefs are beyond skilled. Don’t forget to grab a butter cake before you leave.“
“It's been a minute since we've been here. It has changed a lot. For the better. Seated promotly, they do try to push the bar tab. It's kinda expected and up to the customer to say yes or no. I had one. It was delicious! I ordered the veal tenders. I ordered without mushrooms and there was no oroblem. OMG! So nice and tasty. I brought some home for next days lunch. He had the veal chop. He enjoyed it. Lots if food but we wanted some salad. One salad and two plates. Who knew? It worked out great. The service was excellent. This used to be a quiet place to have dinner. They've added tables and it's much more lively. Everyone seemed happy and upbeat. We will be back. Yummy!“
“I can only really comment on their sandwiches, which are FANTASTIC. I normally get the Roast Beef or Pork Abruzzi sandwiches and they're great. The stuffed pepper shooters on them are top notch. I sometimes wish their was a bit more cheese on them tho. Sandwich prices are mostly reasonable for what you get.Their chicken cutlet sandwiches are also really really good, better than anywhere else in the area that I've tried ??“
“The food is absolutely amazing. The four of us shared several dishes and deserts, and each was more delicious than the last. Incredible!Service was spot-on, and the atmosphere was inviting and romantic. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place.“
“This was a great place to grab lunch back when it was located on Baltimore Pike. Now The owner has stepped it up a notch. With a bigger better facility. With a welcoming atmosphere, stylish dine in area and still serving some of our classic favorites.. fresh home made soups, delicious sandwiches, and classic home style dinners. Affordable, delicious, and a staff that is so kind it'll make you want to buy one of their home made amazing desserts. Whether it be on a Tuesday or a Saturday you can't go wrong by stopping in.. definitely one of Delco's finest hidden Jems.Vegetarian options: Not exactly sure what all they have on the menu for a vegetarian. But I do know that Johnny the owner will bend over backwards to make sure your visit is nothing but rememberable.Parking: Located in Springfield shopping center. It is surrounded by a vast parking lot. So even if you can't find a spot right out front you will have issues finding one somewhere.Kid-friendliness: Johnny loves kids. And has all the classic kid favorites on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely able to get a wheel chair from the vehicle to the restaurant and at a table with no hassle at all.“
“Years ago bought fresh pasta when it was called Springfield Ravioli. Since then another good pasta place opened closer to me(Ridley) so haven't been here in a bit. I was looking for good breakfast sandwich in area. Web search, their name came up multiple times. Got scrapple , egg, cheese & son got red pepper, egg and cheese. Heard coffee was good. The sandwiches were great & quickly made. The coffee was fantastic, among best I've ever had. There were two types, a dark roast and a medium roast called "420". I believe locally roasted.“
“We chose Ariano for a baby shower and our experience was exceptional. From the moment Jamie, our waiter, greeted us until the moment we left we were impressed. Jamie was amazing, accommodating and professional. Ben, another waiter, was equally so. Both made us feel comfortable and welcome. The food was delicious, bountiful, and beautifully served. Timing for the different courses was perfect. As always, the upstairs room proved to be the most lovely space for our event and seated our 34 guests easily. From first inquiry to final details Nicolette, the event manager, was prompt, efficient and helpful and she made our event planning a breeze. Totally five stars for hospitality, food, and atmosphere.“
“LOVE this quaint, affordable, and really delicious spot. First time there and the place was full when we got there but I can understand why! It’s because the food is delicious and the people there are so freakin’ nice!! I am definitely going to be coming back and maybe (most likely) frequently!!“
“So I just found this jewel. I will go back but with more people. Being from NY i know great food and atmosphere and this place Tops the list. The music was not loud and all the staff was great. But I will enjoy the rooftop in the spring.Parking: Park on the street before 7pm and you will get a spot“
“Good food, but why in the world would you put marinara with fried pickles?!? That was ?and the container spilled in transit because it was too hot and the lid melted. So there really weren't any to eat since they were covered. Other than that the pizza was pretty tasty.“
“The dining experience I had was nothing short of fantastic. The meal that I had was prepared exceptionally well and was delicious. I was equally impressed with the service provided by the staff. The attentiveness and friendliness of the waitstaff were unparalleled. Overall, it was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and exceptional service.“
“Wilmington's Trolley Square has long been a haven for delicious discoveries, but Gaudiello's Italian Hoagies takes the crown for their porchetta sub. This isn't just a sandwich; it's a symphony of textures and flavors, a testament to the art of Italian charcuterie. The star, of course, is the porchetta. The impossibly crisp skin yields to layers of juicy, herb-infused pork. Each bite is a concerto of savory richness, the perfect harmony of fat and lean. Gaudiello's doesn't drown this masterpiece in unnecessary embellishments. A touch of garlicky broccoli rabe adds a delightful bitterness, while sharp provolone cheese cuts through the richness. A hint of peppery seasoning pulls everything together, leaving you wanting more. The bread, a perfect balance of crusty and yielding, deserves its own applause. It cradles the fillings without crumbling, providing the ideal platform for each mouthful. Every element sings in perfect pitch, resulting in a chorus of pure satisfaction.Gaudiello's porchetta sub isn't just lunch; it's an experience. It's a love letter to slow roasting, a celebration of artisanal ingredients. In a world of over-stuffed monstrosities, this sub is a masterclass in balance and restraint. If you find yourself in Wilmington, don't miss this operatic masterpiece. Just be prepared to stand in ovation – this porchetta will have you applauding with every delicious bite.“
“No one makes a better hoagie or cheesesteak. Anywhere. If they served crinkle cut fries it would be better than the ones they have. But it's a sandwich shop, so can't really go wrong grabbing chips instead. The sandwiches are the absolute best I've ever had.“
“The buffet on Thursday night is absolutely the best food I have ever seen on a buffet, anywhere! The fresh salads, huge sweet crab legs, and I think my favorite is the homemade ravioli. Can't wait to come back. The servers are the best! Kudos to Elvis.“
“Great for a midweek date. Food is very good. I enjoyed my appetizer (the burrata --delicious and with eye appeal) more than dinner (Chicken Florentino --good but could have used some imagination). The mussels appetizer was excellent and the veal parmesan is always to perfection. Service was friendly and familiar; our server knows how to "read" her guests. The atmosphere is plain, no frills, not the type of place you want for a romantic night out; but definitely worth popping in with family and friends, or for a treat midweek.“
“I came for the fresh pasta (ravioli). But Mother Nature had to be a jerk and turn the electric off??. So I had to settle for Acme frozen ….you get 5 stars across the board. But for he love of god. Tell Acme to respect your brand and don’t let the temperature in th freezers change. Every ravioli in my dozen split open. I blame them since I NEVER had a problem with you fresh or frozen“
“We had a group in to dine on February 24th 2024. A Saturday. The man I spoke with on the phone to make the arrangements, Jay, was very helpful. We had 15 people including a few kids and took 2 entrees home and ordered like 5 appetizers. Service was phenomenal. John, one of our waiters, was very welcoming and helpful and thorough at providing exceptional service, making jokes and ensuring he answered any questions we had. The woman paired with him was excellent as well and I don't want to misspell her name. No one had anything but praise for their entrees. Full bellies and happy faces all around. We were very happy overall. We brought our own wine, plenty of delicious bread and butter was provided along with ice water. Even the 2 items ordered off the children's menu were large portions. I ate my entree 3 times altogether, the portion was so generous. Most things come with soup or salad too. I enjoyed the crab/shrimp bisque (only one person thought it was a touch salty) and the shrimp and salmon in vodka sauce. Very delicious! We've been here before and will definitely be back. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Eggplant ParmRatatoulliMushroom SoupPasta primaveraVarious pastas with various saucesbasic saladParking: Small lot, but the venue isn't terribly large so it works out. Free parking.Kid-friendliness: We had two 10 year olds, a three and five year old. Plus a baby. No issues. Kids portions were very large. Not necessarily going to be a lot of kids in general though, so make sure they know how to sit at a table and behave.“
“Food is excellent but way over priced. We each had a pasta dish that was just shy of $30.00 for each of us. Portions were average BUT, didnt include anything else... no salad, no bread...nothing. just pasta and chicken. We can go to the Library IV and get prime rib or filet for about $5.00 more And we get an awesome salad bar, cheese and crackers, bread and a side.“
“This is my go to place for Italian and Americsn food. Nice atmosphere, clean ,well lit store with pleasant staff. My chicken salad on a kaiser roll was 4 stars. You can also call ahead and order. Their frozen section has a wide variety of foods and desserts to choose from at decent prices.☆☆☆☆☆“
“I was impressed with this restaurant before even trying it out! When I looked this place up, just the pictures alone blew me away! So, when I actually went to see if it met up to my expectations, it surpassed them ? I now love this restaurant!“
“The food was great. Enjoyed the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and shrimp. Rest of family enjoyed their food also. They hosted us in the semi-private room which was perfect for our family reunion. The aesthetic of the place is really good and cozy which we loved. We loved and appreciated our waiter Tyler with caring service and witty replies.“
“Their food is great but they don't accept ENT benefits and it's not fair to Americans on public assistance who don't extra money for food especially homeless people on Snap who only have these places to eat at they need to catch up with the rest of the country !“
“We always do delivery from this place we've never actually stayed there and eat in so I can't give you any type of review about inside however the food is normally good hot and the people are friendly the prices are fair so I do recommend this place for a “
“Breakfast is excellent. Everything we’ve tried has been on point, and we’ve ordered about 4 times. We haven’t found porkroll egg and cheese on a bagel or scrapple egg and cheese that hits the mark, but this place has it and it’s delicious. Haven’t tried lunch/dinner yet but we will. Give them a try!“
“We took my 100 year old grandmother there today to celebrate her birthday! The staff and food where fantastic! I can not say enough about this restaurant! They just do it right and better than most! I will always recommend this wonderful restaurant. You made my grandmother very happy today!!!!!“
“We just had our daughter's 1st Birthday/Baptism lunch celebration. We had the restaurant to ourselves and everything went so well. They were super nice and accommodating and my guest enjoyed the food. Even my friend who decorated said she would keep them in mind to recommend to clients seeking a event location. Nicole was awsome!“
“We've ordered from here repeatedly over the last few months and just did again at my nephew's request. He's visiting and loved the Sicilian so much last time that he wanted it again.Everything we get from here is really good - better than most. LOVE the garlic & parm wings. Got the mushrooms this time- very good, not squishy lil' messes.Have tried most of the pasta dishes- delicious. Food is delivered fresh & hot. And, as a side note, our dog goes nuts when someone comes to the door, so we always instruct delivery people to call from the driveway. It's often hit or miss that they do it... These guys have always been on point. I mention it because it makes things so much easier.Anyway, we ate before I took pics, but trust me, it all looked and tasted fabulous!!“
“My family and friends have been coming here for many years it’s our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant. We moved out of Swedesboro and we still make the hour drive from PA because it’s still our favorite Italian restaurant. Nunzia’s vodka sauce and meatballs are the best of the best and should be on your list as a must have. I guarantee once you try it, you will never want anyone else’s. Love the staff and it’s definitely my home away from home.“
“We left love Paxon Hollow for golf and Anthony's is a great place to eat. We sat on the deck with the greens as our view, and what a beautiful evening it was. We had the frutti de mare and the shrimp lejon. We give it a 10...great service, atmosphere, and food. Not to mention the company was perfect. A great place for the family.“
“I grew up on Ramano's Pizza. It's the best. Now I live in NJ and I'm lucky my family visits come with the Square pies. They freeze great using parchment paper and heavy foil.Do yourself a favor and try out Romano's pizza and everything on the menu is fantastic !“
“First time going there tonight. Food was amazing. I had the chicken parm and my wife had shrimp linguini. Both meals were very good. Chicken parm was recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint. Huge portion and great taste. Shrimp linguini was great also. Their Limoncello Martini is my new favorite drink. Everything is made from scratch. Service was also great. Recommended meals based on taste and not price which was appreciated. Waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. we will definitely be going back we are already planning our next visit. I recommend anyone looking for good Italian food to try this place“
“Special Christmas drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Garibaldi’s is next to Maxi's and they have a connecting inside door. You can take your cheesesteak to Maxi’s or you can take your beer to Garibaldi’s. It’s a big cheesesteak but in the picture you can see that it is dry. Maxi’s has beer but they allow smoking. The bartender was awesome. The young woman at Garibaldi’s was amazing. She made our cheesesteak on a garlic bread roll.“
