“Decent neighborhood pizza place. I had their pizza at a birthday party so it had been sitting for a while in the home .That wasn’t their fault. The ricotta, spinach slice was very good and so that I barely finished it, The people who worked there were very nice to us. I’d like to try the pizza again as a sit down meal in their restaurant.

“This spot is super low key when you enter it’s such a vibe . Because of the location it doesn’t get much foot traffic so I think a lot of ppl don’t know about it , but let me tell you I had a time , prices were great and the cheese steak roll was fried so good I knew from the first bite they were under new ownership came here years ago with different owner and never returned but under the new ownership ? I’ll BE BACK ???… also to the review that said they’re loud who moves next to a bar and get upset at the noise ? entitlement at its finest.“

“The service, ambience, venue was top notch. The quality of the food was excellent. I had the Stracchetti and the pasta was underdone as were the shallots in the sauce do they were a little crunchy.my companion had the parpadelle bolognese and said it was pretty good. I took home what I didn't eat. I think it'll be great once it's reheated. The dish just needed a little more cook time.“

I asked our server what entree I should get because I couldn’t decide between 2 of them that I wanted. He said “No problem! I’ll bring you a half portion of each!” WHO does that in today’s world?! So absolutely kind and cool. I loved every single thing I had there and can’t wait to go back!“

“I went for takeout for a quick lunch and was so impressed. I had their daily special cold sandwich which had mozzarella and mortadella with balsamic and a chocolate custard which was amazing. I showed up in the middle of lunch rush and didn’t have to wait long at all. Will definitely keep them in mind for sandwiches.“

I'd recommend trying the restaurant if you want great food and outstanding service. It is a bit stark inside due to the concrete/cement flooring but still worth the visit.“

“What an amazing restaurant located in the heart of South Philly! The food was phenomenal. We tried a bunch of different dishes and one was better than next ,absolutely delicious. “I had dinner at La Sera the other day and was impressed. The appetizers were delicious--we had the calamari, cozze, and mushrooms. All were delicious, but the mushrooms were phenomenal. For entrees, our table had the ribeye, veal ripieno, spaghetti and meatballs, and ravioli rosa. Everyone loved their food.

And I must give a special shout out to Meritan. I realized the next day that I left my hat at the restaurant and I had already left for the airport to return to Florida. I connected with Meritan who I coordinated with to have it shipped to my house.

In all, La Sera offers delicious food and service from good people. I will certainly be back.“

My husband ordered the lamb burger and he licked his plate clean (very unusual for him). I had the bolognese subbed with linguine noodles and it was one of the best bolognese I’ve had in a while.
