“Today was my second visit here, after having finally stopped in a couple weeks ago. This place is nothing short of AWESOME! It's bright and happy, with wonderful colors and totally unique tabletops--created by the owners! They have done most everything themselves, a true accomplishment and a reason to be proud! The employees are unfailingly friendly and helpful! The owners have hired handicapped individuals, and today I was fortunate to see the owner teaching one such an employee a new skill, and she was so patient and very encouraging, helping this young woman to catch on quickly and feel good about herself. You don't see an employer working to build up employees that way very often. They have an amazing assortment of handmade ice cream, some flavors you'd expect and some you wouldn't. Truth be told, I've yet to try the ice cream, as both times I've been here, it's been morning and I was on a quest for coffee, but I sure do plan to get around to it! Now, the pastries. Ah, the PASTRIES! Beautiful huge cookies with a great variety, to start. And muffins and danish, and turnovers, oh my! On my first visit, I had a wonderful cherry danish, and this time I opted for a cranberry chocolate chip muffin that turned out to be nothing short of fabulous!! SO fabulous, in fact, that I got half a dozen to go, to share with friends this afternoon. (Although, truth be told, I'm making a good argument to myself to keep them all...!) I got a plain old coffee, although they also do a bunch of other coffee house-type specialty beverages for those who prefer those. The coffee was great, not horribly strong but with plenty of body and flavor. The coffee and muffin made my day. And today, I learned from talking to the owner that they have live bluegrass music on Fridays around 6pm. AND I found out that they also do pies, so, YAY! They're also incredibly accommodating, as she told me that with a few hours notice, they'll create pretty much any custom item you want! Doesn't get any better than that, right? Okay, those of you out there who have read my reviews before know that I can write good reviews for good places. This time, though, I'm going to add this: Cookie Cookie absolutely DESERVES your business! This is a business that gives back in a number of ways, and they deserve your support. Even if you live a bit out of the way, do make a point of coming here. I promise you'll enjoy whatever you get, and you'll be helping these folks to help others.“

“This is a nice little soft ice cream stand and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Besides the standard vanilla / chocolate / swirl you get at most soft serve stands, they have the ability to add a large variety of flavors. Most are really good although a couple that I have had (like the amaretto) are pretty subtle. They also have Dole Whip and the usual variety of sundaes, shakes, etc. We have probably been here about a dozen times now and I've tried a good number of the flavors. We keep coming back because it's a great little place for a warm weather treat.“

“My sister and I visited this location last week and were impressed with store cleanliness, food quality & the staff working. We mistakenly thought the store was open an hour later than it was - as we thought we were entering the store a hour and 15 minutes prior to close, we were actually entering 15 minutes before the store closed. After reading the hours on the door and seeing the team cleaning up after a long day, we asked if it was okay that we got 3 items Togo. Olivia, Ben & Vic were extremely welcoming to us and accommodating regardless of having everything clean and ready to close. “Since coming under new ownership there have been so many improvements to Turtle Twist. Staying open year round with the option to pick up dinner from Salt N Pepper at the same location is a welcome change. In addition all of the various options that they have added to the menu including seasonal offerings and bubble tea really helps to find something that everyone likes. Their willingness to try new things and think outside the box to continue to grow and expand their business such as adding morning coffee is really appealing and meets the needs of the local community. Tam and Kelly are always there to greet the customers and are always so pleasant.“

“If you're ever in the Bridgeville area of Pittsburgh make sure you try this place out. They have the best soft serve around. It's so smoothe and it's super tasty. It's a little hole in the wall place but they have the best prices and let me tell you they are super nice too! Creamy and delicious and perfect on a hot day when you feel like you're melting they have plenty of parking spaces and some tables to sit at to make things more comfortable. There is also a bunch of options as they don't just have soft serve, they serve edys too if you're in the mood for a scoop ?“

“l've been meaning to try the milkshake factory for so long and finally made the trip. I tried to time it so that we could try the Jake Shake for half price since Jake Guentzel is always scoring goals. It worked out well and we were able to give them a try. This shake is a chocolate shake with hot fudge, crushed cookies & cream, and brownies, topped with whipped cream and chocolate #59. Sounds awesome right?! Well it was, for the most part. My only complaint is that the crushed cookies were not crushed enough, so they ended up just sinking to the bottom and were not really a part of the shake. Kinda disappointing but fortunately they have plenty of other shakes and chocolates to choose from so you are likely to find something that hits the spot. The staff was friendly and they have a bunch of locations scattered throughout the city so you can easily satisfy your sweet tooth.“

“The milkshakes we had were good and they made them quickly. The staff were polite. However, for the quality of the milkshakes, they are simply overpriced. We won't be coming back because we weren't blown away by what we had and we can get similar shakes from local ice cream shops that aren't part of a chain. I'm a big believer that if a chain can do it better, shop/eat/drink there but if they can't, don't. This is one chain I honestly don't see surviving at this price point.“

“The ice cream quality and taste was very good. Location although on a busy road is a bit under the radar. Location is an order at the window style place. In a small plaza with other stores but no other major corporate draws I remember seeing. Bruster's is probably the best known business name in this shopping plaza area .They do a decent business from what I can tell. I'm sure there are busier times to stop but I haven't seen it super busy, at least the few times I've been here. I stopped here the last time with my mother who wanted a hot fudge sundae. I ordered a small waffle cone with 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream. The quantity was very good! Was a pretty large amount of ice cream for a small. I was glad I ordered this size. Mom's sundae was huge I thought! All in all a nice ice cream experience. ??“
