“They are really great! The soft serve is good. The staff are friendly and seem happy to be there. They are always happy to put my cones in cups so I can get them home. I keep forgetting to put some plastic cups in my car to save them the expense. The prices are pretty good. 2 cones under 10 bucks. I always tip so it's a bit more for me. Just be careful what size you order! The small cones I get are VERY generously proportioned. And I love to be able to spend my money in my neighborhood. “This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

“There’s nothing like discovering a new ice cream shop when you travel. I love trying out local ice cream wherever I go and Millie‘s homemade ice cream definitely did not disappoint.

These ice cream flavors were some of the richest, most decadent I have ever experienced and that is coming from an ice cream aficionado.

After dinner, we walked to Millie‘s from our Airbnb and after sampling many different flavors, I finally settled upon the backyard s’mores and the brownie batter. Both flavors absolutely stuck true to their names and packed a punch.

I think I preferred the backyard s’mores just slightly because the brownie batter was SO decadent and SO rich it almost was too much. The keyword there being “almost”.

“If you love matcha I think you will like this cozy spot in Squirrel Hill. You can choose your level of matcha, level five being the strongest. They also offer weekly rotating soft serve flavors and matcha ice cream you can have at different levels of matcha as well.
