You can taste the cream or whatever other ingredients they use to make ice cream to me it’s a rich creamy flavor that stands out. The only downside when local stores are out of stock. Please make a butterscotch flavored ice cream.“

“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

“There’s nothing like discovering a new ice cream shop when you travel. I love trying out local ice cream wherever I go and Millie‘s homemade ice cream definitely did not disappoint.

These ice cream flavors were some of the richest, most decadent I have ever experienced and that is coming from an ice cream aficionado.

After dinner, we walked to Millie‘s from our Airbnb and after sampling many different flavors, I finally settled upon the backyard s’mores and the brownie batter. Both flavors absolutely stuck true to their names and packed a punch.

I think I preferred the backyard s’mores just slightly because the brownie batter was SO decadent and SO rich it almost was too much. The keyword there being “almost”.

“Every time I leave the VFW next door, where I reflect on my horrible war experience with fellow veterans. (I saw numerous of my friends get their limbs blown off in Vietnam). Afterwards, I always make sure to stop for a tasty delight at Brusters. The teens who run this place run a tight, tasty ship. The blasts, waffle cones, and dirt sundaes are surely to try. I do have a problem with the benches however. The trash near them when I visit makes it look like Sherman and his army just came through (it looks like hell). In my eyes, that is not enough to lose a star, I love this place because it helps me reflect on my past from suffering from LBJ’s term all because I was poor.“

“If you love matcha I think you will like this cozy spot in Squirrel Hill. You can choose your level of matcha, level five being the strongest. They also offer weekly rotating soft serve flavors and matcha ice cream you can have at different levels of matcha as well. The indoor and outdoor seating is fine and I appreciate the public bathroom.

My fave was the blueberry matcha latte but it’s ube season now. My current favorite is the iced banana pudding matcha latte with coconut milk at level one.“
