“I recently moved back to the area after 35+ years and was happy to see Dell's! My elderly father loves his ice cream and milkshakes and I was thrilled to stop at Dell's for him. Dad got a milkshakes and I got an arctic swirl. Not your bland tasteless machine ice-cream at all. Just good old fashioned real ice-cream at reasonable prices. And what a selection! Hot dogs to funnel cakes! Better than I remembered! Thanks Dell from me and my Dad!“

“Had Sunday breakfast there with my lovely wife. This is a great blast from the past. The kind of cozy little diner that is hard to find these days. The place was clean and the staff was great. So friendly. So welcoming. We ordered a few things so we could try some different dishes. Everything was delicious. The Apple Fritter french toast was particularly decadent but I didn't have anything that wasn't top notch. Will definitely return.“

“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!“

The elote was delicious and with the just the right amount of fixings. We stumbled across this place on the afternoon of the eclipse and the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. The street was so quiet, with very little traffic except for the street cars that ventured by so we enjoyed the sunbathed table whilst we enjoyed lunch and watched the eclipse. The service was friendly and attentive. This place took us back to the great places we frequent when in Mexico. We're so lucky to have this authentic place here in Pittsburgh. “This place is incredible, from the moment you step through the door to the aroma of cookie doe and mix then to the cookies, pies or cakes they have on display for the days selection to the helpful and pleasant staff. This was my first time in a Crumble and I was throughly impressed. Reasonably priced and huge cookies! “I'm a big fan of scoops! The location is perfect for grabbing a treat after dinner in the area or on a walk. They're open all year and open late which is super convenient. I love that they carry my childhood favorites (Superman, White House cherry, grasshopper pie) and the price is super reasonable. They have a little sitting area inside with some retail space selling pop, ice cream cakes, and candy. There are SO many options it always takes me forever to choose, but I usually pick two. There is no hard serve ice cream, but you can figure that out based on doing basic research. The place is exactly how you see it as well, right off of 5th avenue, so if there is a massive line you'll wait and like it!There usually isn't ever a large line and there is shaded seating on the left side of the building. “I'd give this place 10 stars! Tried 3 milkshakes and hubby tried 2 over 3 days in Pittsburgh. Every shake was great. Thick, flavorful and perfect toppings. Root beer float was basic but still the rich vanilla elevated it. Chocolate strawberry shake was the best. I'd be here 2x a week getting shakes. The Chocolate was also delicious. “Every time I visit family in Oakmont, we make several trips to Brr-Kee's. There are many reasons to love this place. The ice cream flavors are plentiful to choose from and excellent regarding temperature and taste. The sundaes and cones are always very good for the folks liking the normal portion sizes. For the professional ice cream connoisseur, you really should try the large banana split. You can have them swap the usual vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors for any flavor of the day listed. “I came here without knowing much about it other than it has ice cream. I discovered it's more interesting than I expected. You create your own ice cream flavor and add toppings and other additions. I got a regular size custard in a waffle bowl. I combined marshmallow, white chocolate, and caramel flavors and added Oreo and cookie dough pieces. “This is by far my favorite ice creamery around. They are a tad more expensive but so so so worth it. Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it. They've never got a single order wrong, I've tried almost all the ice creams and all are really good I see the quality. So even if a bit higher in price you won't lose my business“

“Started my Pittsburgh foodie adventures in this adorable little sit-down pizza restaurant in Shadyside! We tried the Pizza Del Re (white pizza) and Pizza Della Casa (red pizza), and both lived up to the hype! Pizza Del Re: - White pizza with mozzarella, truffle spread, & prosciutto (it comes with mushrooms too, but we got it without because my boyfriend doesn't like mushrooms) - A super rich truffle taste that was so yummy - Loved the thin crust, but there were parts that tasted a little too burnt Pizza Della Casa: - Red tomato sauce pizza with mozzarella, grape tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto, & parmigiano - I love the combination of prosciutto & arugula and it was a plus that the arugula tasted so fresh & wasn't bitter - I personally prefer red sauce over white sauce, so I liked this pizza a little bit more To top off your meal here, make sure to get their gelato for dessert! I got a small size with 2 flavors -- tiramisu and hazelnut. Both flavors were super rich and yummy and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.“

“I've visited Jeni's twice in the past week because I just can't get over how good it is. My current favorite flavor is the Brown Butter Almond Brittle. It's seriously amazing. I also love the Salted Peanut Butter with chocolate flakes and Darkest Chocolate. The service is always super friendly and despite being busy most of the time, quick but not rushed. I love trying different flavors and the staff is always so patient. A little pricier for ice cream but worth it on splurge days!“

“We went on March 8 for the last day of Jake’s Shakes, and they were absolutely slammed with people. Despite this, everyone was still super friendly and the shakes were quick and delicious. We really appreciated how hard all the employees were working to serve everyone despite being short-staffed due to spring break. “Rita's has always been a favorite of mine, this location is no exception. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the hours are decent, though I wish it was open earlier than 12PM. The custard was great both times I've went and I had a good experience both times, would definitely recommend Rita's in general to anybody!The only down side to this location is the slightly limited ice and custard flavor options they had available compared to other locations such as Squirrel Hill's.Nonetheless it is a very nice stop on your trip and always a good treat!“

“Convenient location near the Pitt campus. It basically feels the same as the other location nearby at Squirrel Hill. It's a simple counter service place and you just order at the window. You can sample as many flavors as you like and the servers are really nice. There isn't any seating nearby so I just ate my dessert while walking. This time I tried the chocolate custard. The chocolate flavor was quite strong. I think I prefer vanilla because you can taste the creamy milk flavor a lot better. I also got a cup of Italian ice with one of their rotating flavors. I don't remember the full name, but it has the word Ocean in it. It's supposed to be a mix of a whole bunch of summer fruit flavors, though watermelon stood out the most. So refreshing for a hot day! There's also edible glitter which becomes more obvious as some of the ice melts away. The large cup is really huge and was quite hard for even two of us to finish.“
