“This is a great place for ice cream. It’s right across the street from Renzie Park. Nice place to stop after a walk , a ball game or one of the Sunday night concerts in the summer.They also have a small convenience store.
They have a variety of treats on their menu, soft serve, sundaes, milkshakes and Perry’s ice cream. They also serve hot food , burgers,Nathan‘s hotdogs.
The owner and the staff are always friendly and glad to see you. It’s definitely a place we stop at often through the summer.“

“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

“Al's cone zone is the best! Their quality is great. The banana ice cream has actual bananas not just banana flavoring. Same with the strawberry ice cream and so on. I opt for the strawberry banana milkshake. Its soon good. Definitely a stand out ice cream spot from other places. That's why you always see a lot of people in the parking lot and in line. The lines go by quick tho!“

“My wife and kids (9 + 5) stopped in a couple of times on our recent vacation to Pittsburgh. Millie's was busy but moved quickly, and the options were plentiful. Everyone enjoyed what they got... well, my wife got a Shirley Temple and didn't enjoy it but I ate it, so it was enjoyed. Very comfortable and family-friendly environment. Or just a nice place to hang out on the sidewalk and have an ice cream.“

“Everything in the city is overpriced… EXCEPT this spot!! I got a full cup with tons of toppings and it was well under $10. Speaking of toppings, they had fresh and juicy fruit alongside plenty of other sweets or crunches. The place is small, with around 8 froyo machines, but the flavors are delicious and it works wonderfully. Don’t walk, run for froyo here!!“

“It is rated one of Pittsburgh's top ice creameries. I must concur. They have a very large selection of goodies to choose from. It is in a good location but it is a little hard to get in and out of. So be careful. Ice cream with cookies was excellent. I got the raspberry syrup with cheesecake. It was way too sweet for me. But the amount you get is great. It was well worth the price. I was a little bummed. They do not have picnic tables. All in all, it was a great place to go for a dessert. 🙂“

“Very tasty ice cream and all kinds of flavored gelatos. All kinds of combination. The fruit flavors are very good true to the fruit flavor. I like peach which tends to be a soft flavor. and can easily taste fake. But not at Rita’s Same with the mango.“

“Yummy! While on our June summer road trip with our kids, we were in the mood for something sweet and decided to try out The Meadows for their famous custard. We were not disappointed! The building is very welcoming from the outside. All painted with ice cream cones and Adirondack chairs sitting around. In the front, you have tables where you can sit outside and enjoy the air. Inside you have tables and chairs in a brightly painted, cheerful room. There is also a life-size connect 4 game where the kids can play. My son and I enjoyed a game while eating our custard. It was a busy day, but the workers did great. They were very friendly. We all went for the original vanilla and we’re very impressed. I loved my waffle cone! “Finally got a chance to get to the Greensburg Night Market and try Salsa Sam's food. And I was blown away. I got a chicken quesadilla and it was the best thing I ate at the whole Night Market. Everyone was extremely pleasant and the food has the perfect authentic and homemade feel to it. I will absolutely be coming to the restaurant next time I'm in the mood for amazing Mexican food.“

“I check the weekly offerings and try to plan a trip when something sounds appealing. I will say that I have enjoyed 95% of the ones I tried. You can't go wrong with the semi-sweet chocolate chip. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. The orange creamsicle flavor was spot on. They recently had a peanut butter crisp cookie featuring Butterfinger. It tasted like the candy bar in cookie form.“

“Stopped in for ice cream in Squirrel Hill after a great dinner at Amazing Dumplings. We ordered custard and an Italian ice and they were both fabulous. The staff was very kind and gave us great recommendations including a couple of samples and we made great decisions. 5 out of 5 wood ice cream again.“

I got a level 2 - iced banana pudding matcha
It was so good! Perfect flavor of matcha to sweetener ratio!
We also got a level 2 iced strawberry oat matcha!
The fresh strawberry puree was wonderful!
Both were so good, I don’t think I could pick a favorite! Definitely looking forward to going back!“

“The ice cream is a great option for a snack on the hot days. It is easy to find and not overpriced. It is very tasty and the staff are very friendly. There was not a long wait when we stopped, and service was quick. It's definitely a spot to stop at the zoo.“
