“Just stopped by Vocellis to grab a quick bite and ended up getting a large pepperoni and extra cheese pizza and it HAD TO BE THE BEST DAMN PIZZA I EVER HAD!!! It was baked absolutely perfect had the right amount of toppings and their sauce was absolutely delicious!! Way to go Vocellis I will be returning to buy pizza from ONLY your establishment and cannot wait to try your other menu items because they got to be just as delicious. “I cannot stress enough how amazing your restaurant and staff are. We’ve been patrons for years and have never experienced any issues. Our most recent two visits with our 3 young grandchildren were effortless! We love the food and staff so much. I will mention Vince as he waited on us both times and is so attentive as ALL the staff we have had. We love the mother/daughter staff, but I regret that I don’t know their names. My personal favorite is the custom calzone. I asked for thin dough and both meat and marinara sauce on the side. I was delighted that it was all perfect and I took half home! “The service is personal and attentive, the food is plated beautifully. I ordered a vegetarian plate with falafel and it was tasty and I'm guessing authentic, but someone might need to correct me on that. I really felt that it must be authentic. Although the restaurant is obviously converted, taking a bit away from the atmosphere, it is spotless. Prices are fair.“

“Went for a late dinner after the Heidelberg October fest with my fiancé and 5 year old for the first time since the expansion. I had high expectations because we have had take out multiple times and have been pleased. We were not disappointed! We had a hot dog, Cuban sandwich, torts with salsa (AMAZING as always), tater tots and the soup special. Everything was great but the pumpkin/corn harvest chowder was phenomenal, the complexity and layers of flavors was out of this world. I am not easily impressed so I was blown away by our meal. The staff is always friendly. The one little lady who works there is always so bubbly. “I want to like this place so badly. It has a cool vibe. It feels like a real, homespun venue. Sound is decent if not the best upstairs. Staff is friendly. All good things.

But Ticketmaster/Live Nation ruins everything it touches, and the last show I went to didn't have paper tickets, couldn't buy them, and tickets were not available at all with cash. Credit card only. The person literally just enters your credit card manually into whatever live nation/tm site they're using.

Tickets often have about 40% in fees added to them because of this. Most venues make it easy to get paper tickets to avoid the fees. I buy tickets without fees at Mr. Smalls and with very low fees at the bar at Thunderbird. And they always have paper tickets for their shows.

I realize the venue gets bullied into this, but this isn't very punk or homespun. Not allowing cash for cover/tickets let's the government monitor everything we do. Again, that's not punk.

We need venues to push back because us, as fans, have no voice. Ticketing scams are ruining live music and every venue needs to do their part.

I hate leaving negative reviews for music venues due to ticketing because I know they don't like it either.

Edit: I'm updating my review because of the heartfelt response from the venue and by realizing that they can't control a broken ticketing industry. They seem to be trying, and in a world of chain venues I have to support the independent ones that are doing their best to navigate this awful reality of Live nation/AXS.“

“I’ve been to this place about 10 times in the past 2-3 yrs. I got a kennywood pass & today suggested it to my husband I wanted to order it to go. I also ordered my grandparents a few slices cause they’re a big fan of square pizza. It’s a cash only place with an ATM.
First of all a boy about 10 yrs old was hanging out outside and followed me in. They said I had a few more mins to wait & to kill time I started looking at photo albums on a rack. The boy came over & knew all the history to these old photos. He was such a smart, sweet, polite young man!
She told me the price & I said I had to run out to the car for the rest of $$ because I was $7 short, she told not to worrry about it& gave me a bunch of bananas. I just can’t believe how awesome this family is. The boy was the grandson of the original owners.
You just instantly felt welcomed here. The pizza is amazing!! I have an Italian hoagie here I didn’t even try yet but it smells and looks amazing. It just feels loved. It’s definitely underrated. They are are open Thursday-Saturday 4-8pm. Hours are weird but worth the accommodation. The world is hard and cold. This place almost made me cry with a simple interaction with this family & the regular customers there.“

“I got a whole Sicilian Pizza with pepperoni and sausage. I would say the pizza was an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. So, I rate it as tasty. I enjoyed it. I let most of it cool to then put in the freezer, so I can have some quick and easy meals when I'm busy. I usually reheat takeout pizza in either in the oven or I'll use a toaster oven.“
