“i visited this place the day after four chord festival in July during that insane heat wave. needless to say, I was extremely dehydrated and needed SOMETHING. When you come into the Black Cat Market, you can tell the care and consideration that is taken into every animal. The space is adorable and they have so many other vendors too! Cat wine, cat toys, cat-themed stickers, etc. Their rules are reasonable and straightforward. I love it there!“

I love this spot so much so that after two years of being a "regular" I started working here part time. As a customer turned employee, I can honestly say that being behind the counter is just as amazing as my experience from the other side of the bar. Lavinia puts so much heart into every detail and cares deeply about fostering a sense of community within the shop (for both employees and customers). You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Visited Centered Coffee today and had the Levant Latte. It was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced—one of the better lattes I’ve had in a long time.

The shop is clean, peaceful, and has a warm, welcoming feel. Plenty of natural light and a comfortable layout made it a nice place to sit and enjoy my drink.

My daughter ate some French toast stuffed with brie cheese and fruit that were divine. I ordered a Constantine and I loved the twist of chicken in the omelets. It was worth the wait. We understood that the flavor is unbeatable!“

“I stopped by Brave Bean on North Shore recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. I ordered a chai latte with whole milk, but unfortunately, it was way too strong for my taste. There was so much chai and not enough milk that it threw off the balance—it came out way too spicy and intense to enjoy. The atmosphere wasn’t quite what I expected. It had more of a cafeteria vibe and felt kind of empty—maybe I just came at a quiet time, but I was the only person there. That said, the barista was very kind and friendly, which definitely helped brighten the visit. Also, they have a wide selection of drinks, almost like a smaller, local version of Starbucks—which could be a plus if you’re into variety.“

I love Espresso A Mano and will keep coming back. I don't know the barista's name but he had dark hair and I came in around 11:30am today (Wednesday). “Incredible meal, outstanding service, cool vibe. Scallops were fresh, perfectly cooked chicken, and the best Panna cotta I've ever had. I asked the server for pairings and they were all perfect. First time having a Pinela and loved it. I wish I was there with someone to try more. It was a last minute decision to eat here and really only stumbled upon it. So glad I found it! Definitely worth a visit. Make a reservation or get there when they open to sit at the bar.“

“Been in Oakland for a few years and Sidecar is my go-to cafe for myself and to meet up with friends. The food is phenomenal, their baked goods are perfection, and the drinks are delicious. Special shout out to the barista Em for making some of the best coffees I’ve ever had and always having great drink recommendations and such cheerful, professional customer service. The entire place is decorated so cutely with their signature mugs and wall art (please start selling the mugs!) and their iconic mirror wall. I recommend Sidecar whenever a friend mentions they want to get coffee, and I always recommend the Pittsburgh Smog tea and cinnamon rolls.“

“This is an awesome place to get boba! It’s definitely quite far from my usual takeout places, but definitely worth the drive every once in a while. It’s locally owned and the prices are some of the best around. I decided to try out their pineapple milk tea.

The drink was very tasty and refreshing. It’s got that hint of creaminess from the milk, but still tastes quite light. The portion is fantastic; much larger than most places. The pineapple flavor really shines through, too. Quite sweet. And, the bobs is very fresh. They have several options for pearls, but the classic definitely hits the spot.

All in all, I really liked this place. It’s one of the best boba shops I’ve tried in a while. Definitely recommend the milk teas.

“I’m actually mad at myself for discovering this place so late. I have to say this is probably going to become my number one spot to work from. The reasons are pretty clear.
Space is extremely large, and there are multiple types of seating where you can work solo or with a group. There is free Wi-Fi as well as plug points.
The coffee is delicious and they have Vietnamese coffee, which is one of my favourites.
The banh-mi was delicious and although not entirely traditional, it was extremely tasty.
Everyone was becoming and nice. Will be back again for sure.“
