“I just want to recognize the staff at A Cut Above Deli. They truly are "a cut above". Short back story...my grandma was diagnosed with small cell lung carcinoma almost a year ago, October 2025. She was born in Media, Pennsylvania and spent a lot of time there with her grandparents. She turned 80 this past September and it had been over 40yrs since she was there. One thing she wanted to do before she died was go back to Pennsylvania and get a hoagie, a steak sandwich, tasty cakes and see the places she grew up. we did just that on September 13, 14 & 15. The cancer spread to her brain and words were not so easy. I believe his name was Tony, he was taking our very large order to take hoagies back to South Bend, IN, and words were hard for her. Tony was patient, kind and so caring. they all treated her as if she was their own grandma. I told Tony the impact that made because of why we were there and he asked if he could hug me and thank me for telling him her story. She talked about the entire staff multiple times on the 10hr car ride home and how they made her trip. It felt like it did when she was a little girl. Food is powerful. A Cut Above Deli was slammin' that day, but the staff didn't rush us, they didn't appear annoyed with us and they took our food to the car without even knowing the back story yet. Sadly, my grandma passed away on October 2nd at 659am, but that visit to your deli, the smile on her face, the impact you had on her, will forever be in my memory. I dont even think she ever ate her hoagies because when we got home she did nothing but sleep, but what I will tell you is that I truly believe, deep in my soul, that you fulfilled her dying wish with empathy and compassion and I will forever be grateful to the staff there. Thank you for the delicious hoagies as well because I definitely ate mine! I don't know that I'll ever make it back there, but I hope I do again one day!“

I always say that I’m going to order another kind of hoagie, but I always end up with the turkey London broil, which is my favorite.

“I visited this eatery long, long, long ago. It was good then and it is good now, overall. The server was a true professional. She was stretched really thin, but handled it like a trooper. She forgot a couple items but was well spoken and sincere. We and others could easily see how much she was challenged. A big crowd came in right away. Again, she handled the entire early afternoon well. I showed her my appreciation by giving her a reasonable gratuity...There was a delay in someone else not receiving his meal-a simple breakfast sandwich-within 30 minutes. “This place was pretty okay for a random spot in one of the worst parts of Norristown. The prices were good. It had a great selection. And it actually allowed you to pay with cards or even your phone and there was no minimum payment like all of the other trash stores in the area. Definitely five stars Norris Beer Deli. “Kang’s Village Deli has a superb selection of juices and soda! They offer a yummy selection of grilled, fried and cold food (hoagies). They make the very best BLTs. I like to stop here for coffee as well….it is always good (flavored creamer!) Kang’s has the feeling of a home town store and offers a warm inviting environment….it has been around for such long time, it is a favorite in the neighborhood. Lucia really takes care of her customers. She caters to their needs through her products and their special food orders. It is so close to 95; a perfect place to stop for morning coffee and a breakfast sandwich!“
