“Was here on a senior class trip. Hands down the greatest restaurant I have ever been to, and it’s not close. The salad, the pasta, the ham, the chicken, the bread, all of it was top tier. I can hardly put in to words the experience I had here, not just the food but the service as well. It was as if Mrs. Dobbin herself cooked and served us on that glorious night. There are few things on Gods green earth that match the elegance and magnificence of Dobbin House. If I didn’t know any better, I would have told you this was a Michelin Star restaurant. To my surprise, this was just nice little homestyle restaurant. Thank you to Dobbin House and all of its staff for that little slice of heaven.“

“Fun place with good service, huge portions, and a nice atmosphere. We had several different dishes, with both house tomato sauce and a cream sauce. We like the cream sauce better, but it's just down to preference. Meats were delicious and it was overall a great meal.“

“A last second decision to have a burger for lunch, plus a good friends' recommendation led me to the Carriage House Inn, and I'm happy it did. From the moment I walked in and encountered Linda at the hostess stand I knew this was the place for me. She was professional, with a great sense of humor. I hadn't thought to make a reservation, so I called from the lobby to set one up (she got a kick out of that) and when she asked me what time, I looked at my watch and said, "oh, right about now". Thankfully, they had plenty of available seats as they had just opened for lunch.Theresa was my server and recommended her favorite burger, a mushroom and swiss. I hadn't come in thinking mushroom/swiss, but I'm glad I took her advice, as the burger was juicy and fantastic. She was yet another lively part of this establishment with a great sense of humor. The Carrigae House Inn was lovely inside and out, not what I was expecting, and better than I could have hoped for in terms of the friendliness of the staff. I am certain locals know about this spot and come often, but as I was just in for lunch, it was an absolutely fantastic surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and intend to go back for another meal soon.“

“Standing in the place of the [now closed Bobby A's], Greenwood Tavern is quite the surprise. Great food - wings, sandwiches, appetizers, etc. Great Sunday morning brunch menu. Availability of good beers and cheaper light beers, whatever your preference. A TouchTunes for the deck and patio area right off the highway, and a separate one inside for the indoor dining/bar area. The servers are the best - attentive and on it. This is a great pit stop for a quality bar menu and great times, or just a nice happy hour with friends.“

“We come to Gettysburg twice a year and always try to stay somewhere new every time. We are so pleased with our stay at Cashtown inn that we will start staying there at least once for our annual visits. I can't say enough about how accommodating the owners and staff were and very knowledgeable of the history of the area and ready to share with you all they know. Of course there is a bit of haunted stories of the building and area, so no matter whether you're coming for the haunts or coming to relax, this is the best place to stay. By far.“
