“It was an unforgettable dinner. The moment I stepped inside, I felt as if I had been invited to a close friend’s or family member’s home for a warm, intimate meal. The space is small, cozy, and wonderfully personal. The two chefs prepared and served each course with perfect timing, offering fresh, beautifully crafted dishes one after another without a single moment of dullness.

It was a joy not only to taste the food but also to watch the careful, thoughtful preparation behind every plate. The flavors were excellent, the progression of courses felt seamless, and I left with that perfect feeling of satisfied fullness.

There is no doubt that this restaurant fully deserves its Michelin one-star rating. A truly memorable dining experience.

The only thing I found disappointing was that, although I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary when making the reservation, nothing was acknowledged at all. The staff’s prepared guests’ birthday cakes, special party hats, cards and even a moment where the lights were turned off so everyone in the room could celebrate together. In contrast, our table didn’t receive even a simple mention of our anniversary.“

“We had a good, not great meal here. For the price (which was considerable) we were definitely expecting a bit more. The cocktails were great and the service great, the food was a bit underwhelming. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.“

“The Love. was simply incredible! We came here with our 6 year old son. Our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating to our 6 year old which you don’t always find in Rittenhouse. The atmosphere was light and airy and the food was great! Make sure to try their Dubai Chocolate Sundae and if you’re going with children they do have special kids cups and will accommodate the menu for them.“

“This place is awesome. The food, the staff, the service were all top notch. It doesn’t feel like a stuffy 5 star restaurant but your food tastes every bit like it would at a 5 star. It’s BYOB and one of the wine bottle we brought had a cork that disintegrated and they kindly filtered it all out and put it in a decanter for us. Every single course was delicious!! We each got a different appetizer, two different entrées, and two different desserts. Every one of the appetizers was amazing, but I thought the wax beans by far were the best. The carrots were also delicious and everyone really loved the rice noodles too. Each dish was unique and super flavorful!! The steak appetizer was excellent. My scallops were good but not my favorite mix. The desserts were very good and we had to get them to go so I’m sure they would have been even better fresh. I will 1000% be back. Bravo Helm, you know what you’re doing!!!“

My bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through a beautiful meal. Service was top notch. The team work was beautiful to watch. Great attention to detail. “It was alright, no complaints other than the sandwich being under seasoned. I heard a lot about this place but can't say it lived up to expectations. Not that it dissapointed either, just fell somewhere in the middle for me. Maybe I just visited on an off day but for the price I don't think I'd go back.“

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. “Customer service was exceptional. Seating area was a bit small but everyone was so friendly and worked as a team. Honestly the best service I ever had. I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

“This restaurant is a love letter to food. The service was amazing, the ambience was fantastic, and the food was some of the best I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in Philly. My gf and I stopped during a busy Friday service and got seating right away at the bar with full menu available. “Love grabbing Too Good To Go from Dig Inn when I don’t want to cook but still want to eat clean. It takes the stress out of deciding what to eat and it’s a great deal.

This time I got a mixed salad with cashews that had the perfect crunch and a subtle nutty flavor without any heavy dressing weighing it down. The salmon was tender and flaky with a fresh, clean taste that wasn’t fishy at all. The roasted carrots were sweet and caramelized with just the right amount of char, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery but still light.

Now the garlic aioli — OMG, it’s creamy and rich with a bold, garlicky kick that hits just right without overpowering anything. It adds this amazing savory depth and a little tang that makes every bite better. I seriously could eat it by the spoonful.

The place is clean and simple inside, nothing fancy but nice enough. The staff is chill and friendly, they take their time and actually smile which is nice. Definitely my new go-to spot for easy healthy food.“

“A huge variety of delicious vegan options and great beer/kombucha on tap. We often come for brunch to get the West Philly Breakfast which rivals vegan breakfast plates had in Scotland. Always nice to sit outside in the fresh air, but the seating inside is also great.“

“Loved the cocktails and the food was good. Nothing earth shattering but decent. We liked pierogies and beef tartare the most. We didn't get dessert because no one came yo ask if we want any. The service is lacking. The best part is ambiance and the bar area is very pleasant. I will return for drinks; not sure about food.“

“We had brunch at StarBolt for Easter. Their brunch is a recent addition so it want crowded. Food was great. I had the breakfast platter which was very good, the bacon and the potatoes especially! “Been here for an event and dinner and now we tried eating brunch. We were here when it opened early morning. Staff was amazing. The place is cozy and you can see an old interior design which is nice. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and Braised Brisket Burrito. I liked the eggs benedict but not impressed with their hollandaise sauce. For me it tastes like mustard probably because it's Vegan. Husband said the burrito was delicious. Will definitely be back.“

“delicious. exactly what I expected from the sister restaurant of River Twice. they are very consistent with their food. the presentation is beautiful and the food is mouth watering. it is well portioned. I sat at the bar and the bartender was nice, informative, and provided well placed service. I had the octopus with the collards, the hasbrowns with crab and uni, and the sea scallops as my main. the penicillin milk punch was so well balanced. my white wine paired well with my scallops. I was a little sad to not be able to get dessert since they didn't have any gluten free. absolutely a great solo dining experience and will be going again in the future“

The scallop ceviche was excellent, and we loved the pasta with ox tail (nicely done al dente) and the fried stuffed quail. A good dessert was the pear Tarte Tatin. From the small list of available wines, we chose a Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon, way overpriced (as wines generally are in PA restaurants). The reception was a bit frosty (we came way too early and even though the tables in the dining room remained empty, we were ordered to wait a half hour). A very good eating experience inside one of the great museums of the world.“

“We decided to head over here for dinner Tuesday night to get our little one some outside time. It is ok to bring kids in with you as long as you are out before 9pm - which was definitely our plan since it was a school night. We were seated initially at once of the tables by the water, but ended moving to a booth not directly next to the water since it was a little breezy and more brisk then we expected.

Staff, including our waitress, were all really friendly and the service was very timely. Didn't feel like it took very long between ordering items and it being brought to us, but also wasn't too fast if that makes sense. Everything was ok, didn't have any complaints on our meal. Our little one enjoyed her food and taking everything around her - saw a couple of sail boats and the trains passing under the bridge got her really excited lol.

It's always a cool spot on the water I've been to with friends/to hangout - now we know it's an okay spot to bring a kid too (just earlier in the evening).“

“Can’t count how many times we’ve been here but here is my review of Silk City.

The food was excellent. Can’t go wrong in any order. Loved the ambiance. The drinks were good. It’s good to have a reservation as this place gets packed every time, but they could accommodate you to the diner section. Service at the diner section usually takes longer. Lots of parking around the area, but it’s better if you take Lyft or Uber. Staff were amazing and really friendly.

We will always go back to this place.“

The bao buns are the tastiest we've had. The seasonal pumpkin spice cake dessert with cranberry orange sorbet is unforgettable. Great and friendly staff and a fun evening!“
