“Absolutely the best Barbeque joint in and around Pittsburgh! I will even go as far as to argue it's the best on the East Coast! Great pricing, and even better food. You will not leave here hungry, the portion sizes are perfect, sides are to die for, and the speed of service is incredible! 10/10 will recommend to anyone who likes BBQ even a little bit. “Went to a private party upstairs, about 40-50 people, a little tight for moving around with plenty of seating available for all. Food was good, wings hot with a variety of sauces to use, Mac and cheese bits and burritos. Had pulled beef and chicken on slider buns. Mac and cheese was very good-creamy. Open bar with fair choice of beers and liquor for the party.“

“Our first time at this location. We started with sangria and a long island ice tea. The sangria was excellent, so I had two. The long island ice tea was good not great. Then we ordered Cesar salads - they are large, not a side salad - but good. Then we had the half rack of ribs with a baked potato and the 12 oz ribeye with fire grilled corn on cob. The ribs were just warm. The baked potato was excellent. The ribeye was a perfect med rare - excellent, and the corn was good. Overall a good meal. However the entire place needs a good dusting - don't look up. We may try again in the future.“
“I've lived about 300 yards from this place for the better part of a decade, but today was my first time eating their food. Wow! I have been missing out! It's a bummer that they don't have options to dine in or order online, but the ribs are worth it. They shred easily even with a flimsy plastic fork, and the sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. I've been looking for great BBQ, and it was just down the street all along.“
“I went there with my father who is suffering from dementia. The server was very patient with him and always kept a smile on her face. I wish I could remember her name to give her a praise directly. My father struggled with the stake he ordered although tasting it myself the steak was perfect yet the manager still took his steak off of the bill because he wasn't happy with it. The service was the best service from any restaurant I've ever been to. And the steak was delicious!“

To enter the restaurant, walk into the apartment building and follow down the stairs into the banquet room.Parking: There is no lot but there are plenty of places within walking distance where you can find free parking. “City Kitchen was a self-driven experience that gave off upscale vibes. We walked in and my 9-year-old was delighted that he was empowered with so many options. After choosing a large comfy booth, he proceeded to use my phone to order from the vast menu.As I was putting my order in the staff brought over cutlery, glasses, and water. You pay as you enter your order on your phone, so there are no wasted trees (physical receipts). The food is then delivered promptly to your table.It felt like the Jetsons came and took over 2024 and packed flavor along with it. We enjoyed the food and our experience, we will be back!“

“If you are visiting the city or haven't checked this place out, add it to your MUST TRY LIST!!! Great service, atmosphere and the food was phenomenal! Highly recommend the Sandman which is basically a sampler of the meats with 3 side dishes. Brussel sprouts are roasted and have a balsamic type glaze on them. Collard greens were also very good. 2 BBQ sauce options on the table. Jesse was our server and he was great, so ask for him if you go.“

Now, I’m sure some of the quality of the items might not be the same as a fine dining place, but it was still delicious.The steak and cheese sandwich came in quite a large portion (especially for the incredibly low price). The steak was surprisingly fairly tender and not too fatty. There wasn’t a ton of cheese on the sandwich, but just enough to make it tasty. The bun itself was kind of soggy, but not incredibly so.All in all, this place has some nice meats and amazing sandwiches. Some of these prices are truly stellar, it’s definitely overlooked, and I would love to come back!“

“I've been to two college "date-parties" here and both were great! The food was very tasty including chicken fingers, pasta with sauce, onion rings, fries, and salad. The food also never ran out which is so important for an event like this. The bar tenders were quick and efficient while still being friendly (which is hard with 50+ college kids all trying to order). The space is really nice and we all enjoy the fact that there are two rooms. I've never stopped in without attending an event, but I'd guess the service and drinks are just as good!“

“We went here with our son and his wife, who live in the area. From the moment we walked in, my stomach was growling from the delicious scent of smoked meats! From the many delectable-sounding choices, I finally chose the pork taco and an apple chicken taco. Wow! The first bite had a kickback of spice that I wasn't expecting, but as I got used to it, I loved it! Oftentimes, spice overrides flavor, but this time, the pork was so tasty that everything blended well! Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste the chicken one I ordered because I was too full. I took it back and ended up forgetting it in my son's fridge. Oh well! My daughter-in-law had recommended it and will enjoy it. We'll just have to go back next time we visit.“

I didn’t make my meat a sandwich which I instantly regretted and they had no problem giving me a bun to make my experience better! They have special sauces at every table and let me tell you— AMAZING! They were friendly, considerate, and anticipated customer needs with skill!
