“One evening, I passed by and decided to try the food. At every Japanese restaurant I visit, I usually order the salmon teriyaki, so I ordered it here as well. It was the best salmon teriyaki I’ve ever had — absolutely delicious.
The staff was very nice and friendly. He handled the hosting, serving, and even made the sushi himself. Great food and great service!“

Just a friendly reminder when you go to a restaurant, remember to use your inside voice. The other patrons don't need to hear about your career path or other life choices.“

“This place is a rare gem! Fantastic. They have the freshest fish and seafood, vegetables, and fruits. The exceptional quality doesn't stop there. You have knowledgeable people to help you create masterpiece fish-based meals. I wrote to them by email early in the morning about what I needed. I received a quick response with assurance that I could get the head and bones needed for stock and a sturdy white fish for the Belgian stew (Waterzooie). Not just any fish heads and bones, but the choice known to make the BEST stock: flounder. With this as the base of a fantastic stock, Philly Lobster had beautiful monkfish filets for the stew. This, too, is the best choice for Waterzooie. John at Philly Lobster had done the online inquiry and knew exactly what I needed. The results were outstanding and I could not have done it without the wonderful help from John at Philly Lobster. It is a small, priceless business I value. There is no other place like it on the Main Line.“

“Koi is an amazing place! It is some of the best sushi my husband has ever tried, and it comes complete with a special design by their sushi chef. This family owned restaurant has multiple member of their family, and it truly adds a personal touch. Joey was our server last night, and it was great to learn more about the restaurant - plus he made us laugh and just made our experience even better! Their outdoor dining is an awesome option - and the setting truly can’t be beat! We can’t wait to come back!“

“My daughter loves sushi and since we were in the neighborhood I found this place online. She had the sushi entree and I had shrimp teriyaki. She liked her food mine was ok . Shrimp were small and a bit over cooked . Besides that the atmosphere was clean and relaxed and the servers were polite and very attentive. We will be back again . Thanks 💚“

“Toyosu offers attractive, delicious sushi, sashimi, and poke, with a focus on take-out customers—if you opt to eat at one of the few tables available, you will still receive and consume your food in plastic containers. However, you probably won’t mind because you’ll be too busy devouring crisply presented morsels of fish, prepared by aces with big-league experience.“

“I ordered the small sushi sashimi combo. It was a good amount of food and fresh. I've gotten sushi catered from here for years and it never disappoints. There's no other place that can beat the price especially for the amount that they give. The owner is great. My catered orders were always ready on time and never had any issues.“

“This place is a gem. Fast and friendly service, the best ginger dressing on a house salad I have ever tasted. The freshest fish you will find on the main line. The rice was served at the perfect temperature. The owners and staff are the nicest people you will ever meet. If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, this would be the one.“

This seems to be a family owned well run restaurant
After landing in philly and resting a few hours i walked to the acme from my airbnb for wine and minor things but i saw fuki sushi was across the street along side the peruvian chicken joint. I got a couple pieces of chicken from the peruvian chicken joint (i will review them on another post) and i decided to eat at fuki sushi and let me say i was no ways disappointed. This joint is slamming and smacking. I had a Japanese lycee soda (with the marble in it) but i lost the smacker for the marble so the waiter said i will bring you another no sir just charge me for both and we good. I love lycees but this had the slight flavor of lycee but it will have to do until i get back to the east.
The food
I had pan fried chicken pot stickers which were so delicious
I had the dragon roll sushi which was busy spicy hot and flavorful
It was all so good
This place was busy with lots of take out orders
But i recommend grabbing a table
Eating and enjoying the meal immediately
I will return before i leave but this place is a 5 star joint

“The food here is absolutely worthy of a Michelin star. Everything was fresh, unique, explained well, and, most importantly, delicious! I love how they’d rather you be comfortable eating than for you to pretend like you know what you’re doing. Everyone is treated equally here whether you’ve tasted ponzu sauce or not. They will explain what you’re eating and how to eat each course. I recommend this place for people who don’t mind spending on quality and who have a pallet sensitive enough to appreciate refined Japanese cuisine. I removed a star from their service because apparently they do something nice for people on their birthdays, and we were skipped, although it was noted in our reservation. Recommend pairing sake and whiskey to go with the Wagyu. You won’t regret it! Also, go check out the bathroom while you’re there! They really brought the best parts of Japan to Philly!“

“I’ve been frequenting this place since early 2000’s and their consistency and simple elegance of their sushi is simply phenomenal. Even Hawaii doesn’t offer such delicious sushi without making you pay 100’s of dollars for even the mediocre. Cho Cho San is incredible, can’t give it anything less than a 10/10“

I had a bowl of spicy tonkatsu And a cucumber avocado roll. Both dishes were perfect. They may have some of the best jammy eggs I've had in ramen before. Place it top shelf all the way and cannot recommend enough.“

“I am a bit of a sushi efficianado and this place blows me away every time. The freshness of their ingredients set it apart. they carefully construct their bowls and I haven't had a dissapointing roll yet. It's also extremely affordable. I really recommend the Poke bowl. If you're a fan of sushi this place is a must try.“

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. Thanks so much to Rae and his wonderful staff for one of the best meals I've ever had - the best sushi in this area for sure and such friendly excellent service to accompany it! 🙂 Thanks for such wonderful hospitality and all the extra goodies Rae. “I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant! The sushi was very fresh. The Philadelphia roll was great - not fishy tasting like some other restaurants are. Other rolls we ordered and enjoyed thoroughly were the volcano roll, shrimp tempura roll, and California roll. The spicy kani salad and mochi were great too. The service was great. Very kind and thankful staff! Would love to come back again.“

“I'm shocked I do not have a photo of the Salmon Bento that I have gotten at least 20 times already. I usually have it delivered via Uber Eats and it's so good that I dive right in when I get it! It comes with perfectly cooked salmon on a bed of sauteed broccoli and onions in a yummy teriyaki sauce. The sides are shrimp and veggie tempura, gyoza, California rolls, and white rice. You know when you find that one go-to restaurant that eases even the worst day at work? Sakura is that restaurant for me!

If you want the bento at a cheaper price - try the lunch specials; it's equally delicious!

I highly recommend this place and will continue to order hopefully for years to come!
