“I just want to recognize the staff at A Cut Above Deli. They truly are "a cut above". Short back story...my grandma was diagnosed with small cell lung carcinoma almost a year ago, October 2025. She was born in Media, Pennsylvania and spent a lot of time there with her grandparents. She turned 80 this past September and it had been over 40yrs since she was there. One thing she wanted to do before she died was go back to Pennsylvania and get a hoagie, a steak sandwich, tasty cakes and see the places she grew up. we did just that on September 13, 14 & 15. The cancer spread to her brain and words were not so easy. I believe his name was Tony, he was taking our very large order to take hoagies back to South Bend, IN, and words were hard for her. Tony was patient, kind and so caring. they all treated her as if she was their own grandma. I told Tony the impact that made because of why we were there and he asked if he could hug me and thank me for telling him her story. She talked about the entire staff multiple times on the 10hr car ride home and how they made her trip. It felt like it did when she was a little girl. Food is powerful. A Cut Above Deli was slammin' that day, but the staff didn't rush us, they didn't appear annoyed with us and they took our food to the car without even knowing the back story yet. Sadly, my grandma passed away on October 2nd at 659am, but that visit to your deli, the smile on her face, the impact you had on her, will forever be in my memory. I dont even think she ever ate her hoagies because when we got home she did nothing but sleep, but what I will tell you is that I truly believe, deep in my soul, that you fulfilled her dying wish with empathy and compassion and I will forever be grateful to the staff there. Thank you for the delicious hoagies as well because I definitely ate mine! I don't know that I'll ever make it back there, but I hope I do again one day!“

“Party for 150 people, celebrating Very important day in the family that was my daughter's sweet 15 (Quinceanera). Many families and friends came from other states. Everyone love the food. It was amazing. I still a week after the party, people call me to tell me about how good was the food. Mr. Manuel was very helpful to help me choose the food and correct quantities. “One of the best corned beef specials I’ve had in a long time! Everything was so flavorful. The coleslaw was my favorite, I even asked for extra. The bread was soft, and the sandwich was perfect. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. They give you plenty of meat, so I asked for some to be placed on the side.“

“This place was pretty okay for a random spot in one of the worst parts of Norristown. The prices were good. It had a great selection. And it actually allowed you to pay with cards or even your phone and there was no minimum payment like all of the other trash stores in the area. Definitely five stars Norris Beer Deli. Oh, and they even answered the phone when I called before going there with a couple questions. That is literally unheard of with similar stores in that area.“

“Yum! Nice surprise for noon breakfast. This “deli” is a full-on restaurant with high quality ingredients, had the veggie benedict. The egg was perfectly poached (no white wiggling). We chose english muffin base (standard is potato pancake) & the muffin was expertly toasted (not soggy or burnt). Homestyle potatoes were hot & crunchy!!!“
