“A Chinese food place that I have been ordering from since I was little. It’s local and convenient. Great wonton soup and egg/spring rolls. They don’t have a huge variety of options but it is a smaller place. It’s also located in a good spot, right next to Double Decker and across from 7/11 so people are sure to recognize it“

“Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.“

“Tried takeout today for the first time and everything was delicious. This is more of a takeout place since the vibe is very basic, but there are a few tables for eat-in. I had the Pork Rib noodles and it was a very large portion with fresh bok choy, nicely spiced pork, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Also tried spring rolls and hot and sour soup (standards to see how they compare to other restaurants in the area). Spring rolls had options of chicken or chicken and shrimp, not greasy at all, and very good. Hot and sour soup was hotter than I've had elsewhere and not as thick as usual--i prefer this version. Prices were very good especially given the portion size of the noodles, easily enough for 2 meals. I will definitely be back!“

“I'm from "The Strip" in West Philly, but I live in Houston now. I wanted to taste home when I visited this summer. My friend took me to this place and it didn't disappoint. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Delicious, fresh, quality fried chicken wings, crab sticks, gizzards. It was worth every calorie and penny. Went back twice during my stay in Philly. Good place and conveniently located for West Philly locals. So good that I wrote this review several weeks later because I want more right now and I'm too far away! XD“

“Got general Tso chicken, pork fried rice and an iced tea for $10.50. No idea how they are able to charge this little but the food wasn’t bad at all. The pork fried rice was a lil blah, next time I will just get white rice. I didn’t call to order and my food took a lil while but I was very happy with the general tso chicken. Will order again.

“What a fantastic, intimate, family run restaurant. ALL of the food is fresh, and the flavors and appearance of the dishes are amazing. The menu covers Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. My only regret is that we don't live closer. This would EASILY be my go-to place, whether I'm dining in or getting take-out. Great job!!

They went up on prices, portions sized has gotten smaller, my order was wrong (which was corrected) but not before one of the workers tried to convince me to keep the wrong order. “We got sesame chicken and sweet & sour chicken both with pork fried rice. The sesame chicken was crisp with just enough sauce and the sweet & sour chicken was so crunchy! The rice is flavorful with tender bits of pork and chunks of onion that were the perfect texture. The shrimp and pork rolls were golden brown and I wish I got more honestly. First time going; I heard about it from a friend at work. I definitely plan on going back and trying more!“

“I've tried all of the available chinese food options in the gibbstown-paulsboro area and this place is far and above the best of them. The portions are great and the food is always tasty. The prices for all of them were about the same, but this place doesn't charge a really high additional fee for using credit/debit to pay. “My family and I 5 generations have enjoyed your food over the years. From my granny (who has now past) my mother, myself, my children, and now their children. The food is always fresh, tasty and having moved down south trips back up North include a 30 - 40 min drive from New Jersey. “I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. “This business just so happens to have some of the better food and cleanliness in comparison to the other options that are in that specific neighborhood. Again (Compared to the other neighborhood options) Employee does round off prices/ totals to the nearest dollar and has made up prices a few times.Also the one lady who normally takes the food orders is just not nice or good with the way she handles what could be seen as a small issue, no matter how pleasant the patron is communicating the issue at hand, the woman seems to handle it poorly, even tossing someone’s “order” to the other end of the serving glass door and the persons change, while yelling things out. The usual demeanor of this woman is usually, impatient and slightly irritable.
