“This place is one of...if not THE BEST restaurant in the area. Food was amazing with so many choices with such great textures and flavors melded together. Service here is impeccable and the ambiance is perfect. We will definitely be back for more if we get a reservation.”

“I grew up in Gibsonia, and moved into Squirrel Hill a decade ago. It makes me so happy to see a place like this open up, and bring a different type of food to the area. I went here with friends tonight, and was so impressed with everything. The service was great, the owner is so sweet, and I can not talk more highly of the food. This is a huge asset to the area and I wish them nothing but success.”

“I come from a Mexican family in California, so when I moved to Pittsburgh, I was deeply disappointed at the lack of good, authentic Mexican food. When I found this place, I rejoiced! The food is amazing: made with the authentic basics in mind, yet refined with originality. It really feels like home in all the best ways.”

“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!”

“My guests are still talking about how amazing the food was at my wedding and that makes me so happy! Tastefully Blessed Catering has the most amazing food, service, and owner/head chef Jamar. We chose their diamond buffet package which included appetizers, salad, 3 main courses, and sides. AND a 2-tier cutting cake. I knew I wanted the cookie table to steal the show so it was so nice to have a small simple but beautiful cutting cake included in the catering. Everything was so tasty and amazing. Jamar was amazing to communicate with and is an incredibly talented chef. The food was amazing. What more can a bride ask for?!”

“What a wonderful experience eating here! As a person with a strict gluten free diet, I loved being able to find a restaurant that not only offered gluten free items but items that could be made gluten free! Everything I have tried has been amazingly prepared, the staff is excellent, and the atmosphere relaxed and beautiful. I'll definitely be making this a favorite dinner place!”

“They were super sweet and the music was too loud where I couldn't hear my friend talking across the table and she kindly turned down the music. I would highly recommend this little café!”

“First time dining at Senti. Not a big menu to choose from, but what you do get is quality. The apps were very good to start the evening and the dinners were excellent. Nice portions and very tasty. Drinks are very good and paired nicely with dinner. We will definitely be back.”

“Don't know how we have been moved to the area this long and had no idea about this place!! So this place is nestled in Arnold in a house. There is only 7 tables, but they do take reservations. It is a little darker and industrial which is what I prefer. They also have a bar with a decent cocktail program. I get the sense that there are regulars that become family. The food though is the star. They do operate under a smallish menu, but they do it well. I suspect the chefs are professionally trained as I felt like I was at a high end resturant downtown. We go salads and they were both phenomenal. I want to go back for the pasta where they put it in the cheese wheel to make the sauce. I will be back!”

“This place was recommended to me by a friend, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Great service, chatted with one of the owners. He shared his families beginnings, starting with his Nana’s exceptional recipes. They use quality ingredients… then they add pure love, respect and consistency in the food that they put forth daily. Great people, great story and great pizza. The dough was light and crispy, a perfect mix so the toppings can shine! Cash only. A definite must if you’re in Verona!”

“Me and my girlfriend went to Baby Tacos today for the first time we got there a few minutes before they opened. Who I’m assuming the owner was very friendly and still waited on us. The food was done in minutes and when I went to check out he told me to put my money away the first one is on the house. There aren’t to many businesses like this one in this day and age. Food was great will definitely be a return customer”

“Had the coffee with Ube. The coffee was very strong as I expect a Vietnamese coffee to be and Ube added a unique flavour. The price is definitely on the higher side. The interiors are pretty sparse but there is seating if you want to.”

“An excellent Spanish restaurant. Entering inside transports you out of Pittsburgh, vaulted ceilings, beautiful wood finished and hanging legs of pig set the scene. While expensive, the food is creative and delightful.”

“The hot dogs were spectacular. Really enjoyed the Pittsburgh street yinzer. And I got a Kansas City chief to go for later. Yum. The owner and staff were friendly and personable. They humored me and took pictures of my hotdogs for me. The owner was very knowledgeable about hotdogs and different hotdog establishments across the country. He asked which hotdog place I loved most and told me lots of other places to try. Will definitely be back for more. Thanks for an awesome enjoyable dog!”

“I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife and our twins for our morning coffees. Every Sunday my wife and I try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this day we happened to decide upon The Black Canary. It's located right on Pittsburgh Street in Springdale and has some street parking out front but they also have a lot available on Oak Street. The inside of this coffee shop was cozy with black and white checkerboard footing, some tables, a couch and then window seating on both sides of the door. Beyond that there were a ton of vinyl records and a few video games which I think were free to play. For my coffee on this morning I decided to order from their spring menu and went with the Lavender Coconut Cold Brew while my wife went with the coconut shakerato. The menu described my drink as Coconut Simple Syrup + Cold Brew and Lavender Cold Foam while my wife's was described as Coconut Simple Syrup, Espresso, your choice of milk all shaken with ice. After only a minute or two of a wait we had our coffees and were on our way. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our coffees here. My cold brew had a deep a rich flavor with a hint of coconut and a mostly lavender flavor. Then my wife's tasted mostly of coconut with the coffee playing a nice supporting role. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both my wife and I loved our coffees and I would be interested in trying more of their coffee drinks as well as seeing if they arcade games really were free.”

“Hands down the best Thai food I've ever had. the steamed pork dumplings are addictive sometimes I'll just get 3 orders of those. Their Pad kee Mao is my favorite dish, the flat rice noodles hold the flavor amazingly and this is also the first Thai place I've ever encountered that a 10/10 spice is too much for me. 6-7 is so rich with spice without the overwhelming heat. I haven't had a single bad thing from here and have been going the for years now. best Thai food in Pittsburgh”

“Incredible and authentic chaat! My husband was born and raised in India and we have always said that we wished there was somewhere in Pittsburgh that just sold chaat and snack items. We were blown away by the pani puri and the Bombay sev sandwich. The restaurant gives you a proper Indian dhaba feel. Will definitely be back and will recommend to our friends!”

“my favorite place for lavender matcha lattes! great drink selection, they have a ton of flavors and special drinks. they also have pastries, coffee beans, and some snacks (e. g. bars) for sale as well. they're a pretty solid study spot. though the tables are small and it can get pretty loud and crowded (lots of people lining up for drinks, especially in late mornings), there's free wifi and outlets. the workers are all really friendly too, which is always a plus!”

“Great neighborhood gem here. If you have a hankering for a Pittsburgh style fish sandwich, this is the place to visit if you pass by.Friendly folks, warm atmosphere, and great beers and outstanding fish sandwiches.Ordered two fish sandwiches three quarters pound of fish on each sandwich(you will not be hungry after eating those of these) and there’s definitely enough left over for a third. Served steaming hot, crisp batter, and tender fish on a fresh hoagie bun. Tartar sauce was very tasty as well - with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and yes a strong dash of hot sauce. Definitely got my fried fish fix (5 out of 5). If were to provide any critique maybe the bun could have been toasted a bit more to hold up to the condiments - however, while a bit challenging to manage eating like a sandwich, entire time I was eating the sandwich I had a big smile on my face. Will be back again for the fish!!! …. And maybe the sample a few other things. ( the pictures do not accurately capture the size and make it look a bit smaller that it actually is )Outstanding beer selection, see picture for the entire menu - I sampled the Troeg’s Grand Cacao Stout and was happy I did.Highly recommend this place. If you are passing by this neighborhood definitely check it out.”
