“My 55 year old mother's first job was scooping ice cream at Jolly Farmer. It's a Waverly staple, much like Ted Clark's and St. James Church. You can't come to the valley without a visit to Jolly Farmer. Jolly Farmer's scones and brownies are insane, and worth the trip alone. The scones are dense, sweet, doughy, and decadent. I sampled the chocolate chip and the blueberry. Both INSANE (and gone in 2 hours). The brownies with homemade peanut butter icing are rich and fudgy, the kind of brownies that stick to your mouth because they're just THAT dense and delicious. Big selection of beer, local goods, and other conveniences. It's just a good old hometown stop 'n shop, but the baked goods are out of this world.“
“This review is for the casino only. Went with my boyfriend and his family on a Saturday afternoon. It was crowded but not overly crowded. There's slots, table games, high bet rooms, horse racing , etc. we gambled a bit and won a bit. We all had a good time. Drinks were also cheap and strong! We had two Black Russians which came to $12.50...total! Not each, but total. Casino was clean inside too. We would come back when in the area again.“
“So I went two days in a row and they said they were out of cherry ice but actually confessed nobody felt like getting it out of storage. I drove an hour craving a gelato with cherry ice TWO DAYS IN A ROW. But compromised on something else... Sad I didn't get my cherry and will just drive to Rita's next time.“
