“Generally yes I would recommend Genovas. Their food is typically hot and fresh. But there have been a few issues with take out. Most recently I ordered a half sub and fries. Instead I received a weird stuffed animal and fries. The packaged tape did not appear to be disturbed by delivery driver so seems it was the restaurant. A few other times I ordered turkey and received a ham sub instead. Otherwise good food but super annoying when the order is incorrect. And you receive weird items.?? Not sure what that was about. Very disappointing when I was craving a turkey sub.“

“This little hidden gem is mine and my husband's favorite place to have our date nights. Any special occasion, this is where we go. I love how fresh and seasonal the food is. I always love trying something new. From the crafty cocktails, the specials, and the rotating seasonal menu, there has never been anything we haven't liked. Everything is scratch-made and you can taste the love and passion from the chefs back in the kitchen. The service is exceptional, everyone is super friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy and it's a very beautiful restaurant. I can't say enough wonderful things about, Oak. 1,000 out of 10!“

“So I called in a pick up order of a pizza and mozzarella sticks. When I called I mentioned I had a coupon (from their menu) for a large cheese pizza for 10.99. The girl on the phone said bring it with me. So I did. I went to pick it up; gave her the coupon and she looked at her coworker and showed it to him and she said I don't think we're taking this right now. So I told her it's from the menu I had at home and her response was "we go through phases of when we take them." Didn't even bother to ask management. Now there was no expiration date on it mind you and no one said that on the phone. So what started out as a 17.00 order was now 27.00. Sometimes you have to go above and beyond to avoid these types of reviews. GREAT customer service would have been easily accepting YOUR own coupon. If you go through "phases" don't print the coupon bc the consumer doesn't know when your phases take place. This could've easily been a 4 or 5 star. The food tastes great but the "phases" comment left me floored.“

“Tonight was our first time trying Giovanni’s and it was delicious ! “Literally one of the best pizza spots I’ve been to. Everything is always so fresh and SO good. The pizza is amazing, wings are incredible, and you can genuinely tell they care about the quality of the food. The portions are great also. I’ve had an incredible experience every time. “Hanover Pa Genovas. The pizza cheese slid part way off the pizza.
The pepperoni was brown. Brown pepperoni is a sign of spoilage. I put the pepperoni in a bag for the driver to take back and show it to the manager. Also, I ask for half cheese and the entire pizza had meat on it. Only the ham n it looked like ham I wouldn't tell you what anything else was. I frequent the Genovas in Spring Grove Pa. and absolutely love the Pizza and the service.“

“Lasagna was DELISH. Pepperoni pizza was also good eaten as purchased and reheated. Salad and sub toppings were really fresh. If I could give it a 4 3/4 for food I would but I couldn't so I gave it a 5. Slight deduction was because I like my sub rolls a little thicker. Definitely worth stopping in for the lasagna meal alone.“

“Our first time there, and it was really good. We had the Hawaiian pizza, and it was delicious. The fresh, home cut fries are good, but could be done longer/darker for my tastes. I want to go back and sit outside next time. It looked neat! Overall, a good experience. We'll go back again.“

“Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.“

The crust for mostly all the pizza is very thin though, so keep that in mind.“

“Wow!! Is all I can say about the Family Style Chicken Marsala take out that we ordered this evening. The meal was absolutely delicious and piping hot. There was more than enough for five guests. After dinner three people took a portion home for left overs for tomorrow and we STILL have some for our dinner for two tomorrow. The salad was also abundant and amazingly fresh and crisp. Plenty of dressing and the garlic bread was hot and plentiful too. Thank you Divinos for putting so much care and goodness into your food. We will definitely do the Family Style meals again. “I've been here a few times and have ordered out a few dozen times. The food here is good if not very good in my opinion. The Cheese Steak is very good especially on their Turnover bread. The only complaint is a couple of times I felt they under performed on the amount of cheese steak and toppings. The Fries are very good and I've always got nice hot salted just right. The Hamburgers are very good and big enough with fries to fill you up. The pizzas Ive had have been great as well and my girlfriend likes the Chicken, Bacon Ranch one the most and she is not a pizza person. Being from the Philippines she is more of fish eater than American Food. She also like their Chicken Cheese Steak again she doesn't eat red meat at all because in the Philippines she never really ate it, it was to expensive. They have a great selection of beer too, if you go to pick up a little early you can drink something while waiting. Long review but I wanted to get one out since I have always liked my food from there so far. I saw a few really bad reviews about the owner which shouldn't have much to do with their food. Order pickup and you won't even know who the owner is. People get drunk in bars and get kicked out then give a bad review since they evidently did something to draw the owners attention.“

“The store was amazing. First I called for delivery and they were courteous even telling me I was just outside the delivery area. They then asked me to hold and said they will go ahead and deliver today. The food arrived exactly as expected when expected with nothing missing and the driver was very courteous and respectful.
