“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“

“i visited this place the day after four chord festival in July during that insane heat wave. needless to say, I was extremely dehydrated and needed SOMETHING. I literally have never had such a fresh, pure tasting smoothie in my life. I felt sooo good after having one, that I came back for a second one. I cannot stress how much this place is a must-visit every time I come to Pittsburgh from the mason-dixon. 5 stars isn't enough.“

“Love this place! The space is amazing with huge outdoor/indoor seating and nice big circular bar. They have a great variety of styles - all were great. You can try a bunch of 10oz pours or stick with 16oz. Their merch is really nice too! I can see myself coming here again and again; definitely one of the more notable Pittsburgh breweries.“

“I stopped by Brave Bean on North Shore recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. I ordered a chai latte with whole milk, but unfortunately, it was way too strong for my taste. There was so much chai and not enough milk that it threw off the balance—it came out way too spicy and intense to enjoy. The atmosphere wasn’t quite what I expected. It had more of a cafeteria vibe and felt kind of empty—maybe I just came at a quiet time, but I was the only person there. That said, the barista was very kind and friendly, which definitely helped brighten the visit. Also, they have a wide selection of drinks, almost like a smaller, local version of Starbucks—which could be a plus if you’re into variety.“

We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. The courtyard space was the perfect, laid back atmosphere for the evening, and the team at East End Brewing made it super easy for us as hosts. In addition to the delicious food (the pickles were favorites) we particularly appreciated the kitchen team's effort to serving folks with dietary restrictions: very clean, detailed labeling of the food spread, and in general planning a menu and running a kitchen that minimizes common allergens. A number of our guests appreciated that especially.

Oh, and of COURSE the beer is great. We also particularly love the ability to have smaller pours and a variety of non-alcoholic options too!“

The coffee is always consistent it tastes and looks the same no matter who makes it or how busy they are, which is extremely important to me. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is great for working or hanging out, and best of all, they’re dog-friendly!“
