“Prices are terrific, service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is what you'd expect out of a tavern, with a bonus from some potted plants.

The soup du jour, a spiced black bean soup, was out of this world. The fried pickles were the best fried pickle wedges I've ever had, with some terrific batter. The wings were good. The sauces were delicious, especially the spice golden BBQ sauce we had (golden goldenboy, I think). The only thing was they weren't crispy.

“Cash only joint! Smallish neighborhood gem. Looks unassuming from the outside but it's just perfect for the locals. No beers on draft and that's a little sad but the delicious food totally makes up for it. The bartenders/waitstaff are always friendly, attentive and funny. “Their Sunday brunch is amazing! Food is delicious and they offer a great menu. I recommend pairing it with some fun drinks and great friends. They also serve awesome drinks like mudslides, banana monkey, or dirty monkey, and some good fruity drinks, do not hesitate to name your favorite, or don't be afraid to try something new. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Servers are always great and pleasant from my experiences as well! Street parking only but it's free. It also may look like a "hole in the wall" before going inside but it's far from that. It's recently renovated and has a modern but classic bar feel and look. Just don't judge a book by it's cover on this place.

“Legit the best Reuben, crispy and a little tangy, so good. All the sandwiches are so freaking good. All of the ciders are so good. One of our favorite places to go. Usually live music on the weekends and trivia during the week. Awesome place.“

“Dive bar vibe - Dark & Vintage. They're hot cheese balls were pretty good. They were not the best cheese curds that I have ever had, but they were decent. If you like your cheese curds extra cheesy, these are for you. We also got 2 burgers were which were extremely large, & cooked well done which wasn't very good. The fries were subpar and the chips were just plain generic ruffle chips -not made in house or anything. I would have loved another option to not have a side. This place was not super expensive which was cool but probably wouldn't come here again.“

“Absolutely enjoyed this bar! Their drinks were good and the night my friend and I went they plaued great music. Since it was snowy, there wasnt a large crowd, but we had fun regardless.

The bartender was friendly and gave us drink suggestions and made good talk. We watched sports on tv, talked, and overall had a good time. Bathrooms were clean, dancefloor is fun.

“If your looking for a place to go and have a few drinks; play some pool or darts, look no further. This is the place for you. Highland is a nice little hole in the wall that all the locals know and love. Not very big but bigger than it looks. It's only got one pool table and dart board, but we take turnes like good kids to use it. There a couple tables to sit and enjoy or sit at the bar and get funky with the bar. Lol it's a good time.“

“We went there one night with my husband’s cousins. It was a lot of fun! The drinks were great as well. I love the one with juice of a whole fresh orange and the one with fire( I forgot the name). We stayed until 2 in the morning and got tacos on Carson st. Felt exhausted the next day lol.“

“Garvey's is a fantastic place nestled in Southside slopes.We stumbled upon when we were walking from the slopes to the flats. Bartender James was a lot of fun. They don't serve food but you can order in. I showed up with my whole football crew and we brought snacks and sandwiches. Felt just like tailgate! They have a fun bowling game in the back room. We also bought Garvey's Tshirts and hoodies. What a blast“

“Good Food, Awesome Staff, the amount of pictures of the owner was a touch I found odd, and something called "CumbBurger" had me laughing.Extra star given to offset Karen's one star because she brought in a party of 8 when they were already busy.This place is small, I would never try to bring more than 6 people at once, even then you would need 2 tables.Cumb, you seem like a fun guy, maybe even fun enough to bring in more business by just being there to talk to, but it kind of felt like a museum dedicated to your accomplishments.Keep living life to the max, I'd definitely come back.“

“Oh, my goodness, so delicious. Lotsa fun with the digital karaoke machine, pool table, and darts. WE also enjoyed watching the patrons play on the golfing video machine. Great portions of food. Fresh-cut, homemade French fries. Flavor, flavor, flavor on all of the food choices, and there were 14 adults. Great place to go hang out bc clean air, SMOKING outside on the veranda only. Go enjoy yourself anytime of the day. WE went on Sunday afternoon around 1pm.“
