“I'm confused. I grew up in this area and I thought it was called "Drinks"...? Was the name changed to "Westview Grill" recently?... either way.. No matter what the name is. It's a nice local bar. One of the few places you are able to smoke in.. Whether that's a good or bad thing it's your personal opinion. But it's a friendly local haunt....“

“I came here with two friends and our bartender was Bruce. He recommended various beers, different cocktails, and helped us pick the perfect playlist. He was fabulous and cannot wait to keep coming to this beer—half Bruce and half the drinks!“

“Such a fun venue with lots of exciting shows! I've been for the recession pop party in May and we're headed to the Taylor Swift party tonight. The hot dogs are delicious (they have lots of specialty dogs with various toppings!) and the drinks are absolutely phenomenal. The people who work there are great, I accidentally deleted the email with my tickets and Mariah emailed me very shortly afterwards and got me taken care of! “Reliable neighborhood bar with great bartenders. Fridays during lent they have a semi-limited fryer menu because they are selling so much fish because it's a great deal, quick & good. Its beer battered & fried. Its pretty large. For take out, ask for the bun to be on the side and to not salt your fries or put the salt seasoning on the side (they can be a little salty but if you have a beer in hand, you're good to go).“

I love that it's not one of these places that tries to be all fancy and stuff. If you want to avoid those type of places, I highly recommend Birmingham Bridge Tavern. The food is damn good too! “Wanted to make sure I wrote this review bc of my amazing experience. First, to get this out of the way… really cool vibe, great beers at great prices, and a great spot for local music. I went recently to see Sacred Monsters who were in town from Philly. It was the lead singer, KP’s birthday and we wanted to do something special for her. Long story short, Toy is amazing. Not only did she help with the surprise but she… on her own… ordered cupcakes for KP since I couldn’t find a cake that met her dietary restrictions. She was so helpful and enthusiastic about helping. I can’t wait to go back.“

“A 60-something local rocker, when I asked him which bar in Pittsburgh best captures the spirit of the beautiful ’60s–’70s, said: “Squirrel Hill Cafe.” I think he was right. There’s no pretentiousness here. Food is just food, drinks are drinks, service is service, and quality is quality. Time seems to have stopped here — and that’s a beautiful thing.“

“Where else in town can you smoke a pack of cigs that came out of a retro machine... drink cheap beer and eat the largest chicken wings I've ever seen in my life? Also you're technically allowed to graffiti in the bathrooms, just don't write on the pinball machine. The jukebox is really cool too. I won't be back for personal reasons but I liked sitting in this bar even when I stopped drinking, it was cool to see everyone else having fun. The BBQ wings are seriously delicious (why are they so big??? Not complaining just impressed) and there are always weird movies playing on TV, and they write a fun little quote on the chalkboard daily which was honestly my favorite part. It's gross in a good way 🩷“

“Porky's is a hidden gem in PGH. The BBQ is fantastic. The smoked wings are some of the best I've ever had and the atmosphere is exactly what you're looking for in a relaxed yinzers bar. It's a great spot to watch sports and the staff is very accommodating to most requests.“

“Home away from home...From out of town? Miss the old neighborhood? Like Blues and R@B? You've found it...at the R BAR... 5 mins. from downtown(avoid rush hour) The owner is a semi-retired musician..and his wife besides being a "Hottie" LOL..Is the salt of the earth...If you make it there on Sundays..You'll find one of the best"Bloody Mary's" around...and a 6 piece band called "The Midnight Horns" who all lead their own bands doing the week,but come together at the R BAR to roar..(Jazz,R@B,Blues)..I must also mention 2 of the best bartenders around..Toni and Billy.will treat you like family...So why not give the R BAR 5 stars? Only because of it's size,and no food..however a Pizza parlor opened next door with a wide variety of treats...good enough to feed those Boilermakers..from the R BAR...“
