“It’s a very tiny coffee shop, but they probably have my favourite drink in all of pittsburgh. Their almond torte coffee is to die for, and I still think of it to this day. It is creamy and delicious, and the form on top itself is magical. I would have it every day if I could. The space itself is quite intimate and communal. There is very limited seating, so you might have to share your table with somebody else in a communal sort of set up. There are lots of games on Offer and I saw couple families playing board games. This cafe actively discourage you from using laptops and working from there. So if you are planning to work, this might not be the place for you. But if you’re planning to come here and enjoy a delicious coffee along with your favourite book, you are in the right place. I would avoid their pastries. It was just meh.“

“My fiancee and I got our cat Onyxia 2 years ago from the Black Cat Market and she fits into our family like she has always been there. When you come into the Black Cat Market, you can tell the care and consideration that is taken into every animal. The space is adorable and they have so many other vendors too! Cat wine, cat toys, cat-themed stickers, etc. Their rules are reasonable and straightforward. I love it there!“

“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“

“I go thru this drive thru often, and this evening I went through with a larger more complicated order. In my frazzled state, I dropped my card out the window and couldn’t reach it. I said I would pull around to pick it up after I got my drinks. Instead, the two sweet baristas working made all my drinks and went outside in the rain to grab my card for me. 11/10 customer service and kindness. And the drinks were perfect.“

First time having a Pinela and loved it. I wish I was there with someone to try more. It was a last minute decision to eat here and really only stumbled upon it. So glad I found it! “Been in Oakland for a few years and Sidecar is my go-to cafe for myself and to meet up with friends. The food is phenomenal, their baked goods are perfection, and the drinks are delicious. Special shout out to the barista Em for making some of the best coffees I’ve ever had and always having great drink recommendations and such cheerful, professional customer service. The entire place is decorated so cutely with their signature mugs and wall art (please start selling the mugs!) and their iconic mirror wall. I recommend Sidecar whenever a friend mentions they want to get coffee, and I always recommend the Pittsburgh Smog tea and cinnamon rolls.“

“The staff at Brushes & Beans is super nice and helpful! My husband and I went there for our anniversary and we already want to go back! I changed all of my colors after I did a wash and the staff were so helpful about it! They came over and checked on us so many times even though they were quite busy! The coffee is AMAZING too! When we came to pick up our ceramics the staff member even recognized us and immediately went running back to grab our project. She took our picture for us which was so sweet! But when I came in there was a young man sweeping the floor because it was almost closing time and he put the broom down and came behind the bar to wait on me. He's the superstar in this story! “This is my partner and I's favorite coffee shop in all of Pittsburgh. Every drink I've ordered has been delicious, and their breakfast burrito is amazing as well. Never a miss with this place. The baristas are friendly and efficient, and the owner is a great guy - friend of my partner. The atmosphere is unlike any other in the city, eclectic and maximalist, yet very cozy. There's a reason that every time we go most of the tables, indoor and outdoor, are filled up! I've recommended this place to countless people, and will continue to do so. We probably come here at least once a week, and are always looking for excuses to stop by and get a tasty drink.

“Yesterday morning I had to take my mom in for surgery and ordered my winter drink because I like hot coffee in the morning. I stopped in the afternoon today, like usual, on my way to the hospital but, without realizing, reordered my hot drink again. It's 90 today and upon realizing my mistake I apologized and asked if I could please order my iced one. Not only did they instantly make the iced drink for me but refused to let me pay for it even though it was totally my mistake. “Our family loves their bagels so much! This is the best bagel place in Pittsburgh. We usually go around 7:30-8am and yet we still have to wait a bit. My husband and I love their tofu herb schemer and surprisingly our toddlers also love their tofu herb schemer too! My favorite is their “veggie”, which comes with fresh veggies of the day in a bagel of your choice. So fresh and good!!!!! Their espresso drinks are not as good as you can get in a coffee specialized place, but it’s okay because their bagels are so delicious! For drink, I would just get their special latte (like pumpkin spice latte) or just regular drip coffee. They work so efficiently inside and hands down for their friendly and professional atmosphere!

Maybe would not recommend to go after 9am if you don’t want to wait so long.

They sometimes sell a bag of one day old bagels for sale and this is such a good deal.

Parking: Parking next to their shop is not usually bad when we go early like 7:30-8:00am“

“I have been coming here since they opened about 8 years ago. It instantly became my favorite place. It’s a Lawrenceville staple now. When people ask me what my favorite restaurant is I say “well it’s actually a brunch place, but Geppetto Cafe! Trust me!” Great atmosphere, food, and people. There are few places I’m a regular, and this is one of them. Their iced black coffee is my all-time favorite too. We just had our engagement party here, and they were so flexible and accommodating. It was really special, and many of our guests said “you WOULD have your engagement party at Geppetto”. They loved it. Everyone thought it was super cute and that the crepes were delicious. Highest recommendation for brunch, coffee, or a special occasion!“

“This is for the La Prima store at Smallman street near the convention center. They have great coffee choices. Service is quick. There are also some pre made breakfast items in a cooler. You bring them to the counter and they will heat them up for you. It's an excellent and inexpensive espresso bar and breakfast counter. Highly recommneded.“
