“My wife and I ate here while we were visiting Pittsburgh and the food is absolutely delicious. My wife got the lasagna while I got the chicken parm and both dishes were absolutely spectacular. My wife is still raving about the lasagna, saying it's the best she's ever had. The service is great, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and take care of you like you are apart of the family. Highly recommend!“

“Welcoming, and warm greeting,my sandwich was delicious,it was a turkey club on grilled sourdough bread,I had it with onion rings instead of fries, very good, I highly recommend Fontana's,for lunch and dinner, I sat at the counter,and was served right away, Sandy was the bartender, love her!!

“this has become my wife and I's favorite Italian restaurant in the South Hills. portions are huge. Food is absolutely delicious. Quick warning though if you order the stuffed hot peppers they will be HOT. They're absolutely delicious though!“

Everything was fantastic, their wine menu is superb, the cool atmosphere with the wall of plants - I'm definitely coming back here to try the chicken parm. “It's like being at your favorite dinner table with family and friends! With our beautiful Italian family gathering around the bar area in numbers of about 15 Friday night, we had a blast! Yes, Joe is our cousin and that is definitely warm and wonderful but Louise, Joe's matriarch, was there too which made it extra special. Lulu, chef, Delaney, "Ms. Brown", Linda and all staff were amazing and fun. So the food, sauteed arthichoke hearts, pasta fagioli, wedding soup, Chicken Romano, Veal Romano, beverage list unsurpassed and our usual standards and oh the red velvet cheesecake was picture and taste perfect. All food made to order fresh and it definitely shows the attention to every morsel we enjoyed. Oh, the bread is made locally and it's the best. We were almost the last to leave and we have all the photos to show our fun time. Can't wait to go back for their Sunday sauce. Salute and see you soon. Something new always. My husband swears they have the best wedding soup hands down. Im completely obsessed with the carrot cake and I will never be able to go or get it anywhere else. “Our server was just bizarre. Running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She was forgetting things and screwing things up. She would basically run away while we were still talking to her. This was 7pm on a Saturday. After forgetting my soup, I was eventually brought an incredibly messy bowl, as if the soup was literally thrown into the bowl. She would say she was going to get us refills and then come back without refills. She did package our leftovers which was nice of her and offer us more bread.“
