“FOOD WAS DELICIOUS NO DOUBT“

“Food was great, while the service was not. the waitress we had was absolutely horrible. Hardly came to the table to see if we needed anything. Two guests had snow crab, I had to ask for a cracker so they could open up the crabs. Extra napkins and ketchup nope had to look for them ourselves. At least the food and my company was great. And to top this all off, a 15% was on the bill as for a tip, needless to say she was not worth it.“

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

Spaghetti al limone was tasty - the sorrento lemon really comes out. The frutti di mare was really tasty - the chef is not afraid to bring the spice. Service was very attentive. We would visit again if we make it back to Philly.“

“My third time back and Yanaga, and it didn't disappoint! I love the mini tasting they offer - such a great deal since I can't always spring for the full omakase. The sushi is fresh and delicious, the cocktails are creative and complex, and the happy hour deals are so worth it! I tried the wagyu hot dog for the first time and even though I came there for the raw fish, that was a standout menu item for me.
The ambiance is laid back and fun, never pretentious. The waitresses and friendly and knowledgeable and never made me feel rushed.

Out of all of the places I’ve tried, Srinagar takes the cake!!! The Chicken Tikka Masala is incredible and is the perfect spice level for a medium. I did only get delivery via a third party service, but would certainly consider eating in next time. Will be eating here again!!!“

“This was a really special brunch experience and the food was exceptional. The parfait was perfect - sour, creamy homemade yogurt, mint, and sweet crunch granola. It was spicy, sweet, creamy. The Corsican breakfast was great and very different. Finally, the pancakes were great - the cinnamon was powerful, fresh. This was a great meal and I will make an excuse to come again!“

“I love supporting local businesses and captain's choice is on of my go to spots for beer or a seafood platter. He definitely has great prices on beer. He also sells wine as well as other alcohol drinks and cigarettes. My only complaint is that when you order the fried flounder platter they always give such a tiny amount of fries not even a handful of fries. I wish they would give you more fries with the meal. Also there the only place in the Mayfair area in my knowledge that sells cups of Philadelphia water ice all year around which I absolutely love.“

Literally the food tastes like they just harvested all of it immediately before prepping. Literally blown away. This will probably be my #1 food place in Philly for years with zero close competition. “No matter what, this is my tried and true fresh fried fish spot!! Their food still hits now as it did in 2010. The only reason I did not give all stars was because I did not get to get a bag of fresh fish to take home and cook. The inside is small and there is standing room only. I hope they bring back the fresh fish. There may be a lot going on outside as well, but I go there for my fish and head straight home to eat. There is street kiosk parking. It's best to call ahead. However, the phone line seems to ring busy now a days.“

“A group of 21 celebrated a birthday recently at Omega’s Restaurant. From the moment the guests arrived, the friendly wait staff took extra care to ensure a great dining experience, while not disrupting other diners who were also enjoying the restaurant atmosphere.

The wait staff (I wish I recalled his name) seamlessly took the orders from each guest and managed the tables with ease, from the drinks to the appetizers and through the main course and desserts.

To a person, the guests were quite pleased with each the presentation and taste of each dish and noted the portions were generous (enough to enjoy a small meal at home).

Ms. Omega, the owner came out and greeted us and made sure we were well accommodated.

This is a gem of a restaurant and we encourage you to experience it for yourselves.

“Hello, I wasn’t sure because of the name but I’m glad I stopped. I had the Hibachi mix vegetable w chucks of chicken and nice size shrimp and fried rice, everything was deliciously fresh my rice was not sticky, and it came with a side salad, Thumps Up to #DrunkeCrab!! top off w a breath mint.“

“Corner lot, limited parking. Seating for 4 or 6 at the tables available. To go was easy to order and seems like they do a lot of door dash from the location. Food was hot after the drive home and seasonings are great, went with the medium selection for the boil. Very friendly staff.“
