“Ioved the food it was my first time here and the size portions are really good. I'd suggest seeing if you can get a window seat or outside seat for best atmosphere experience. <3They also have a gluten free option with bread so that was a nice suprise!!“
“We are from California and stopped by to get some breakfast. Even with them being located in a market, they still created their own warming atmosphere and we LOVE that. We were seated quickly and had a nice southern welcome. Jackson was our waiter and he was outstanding. He was super attentive and very kind. Love this place!“
“Perfect breakfast on a rainy day. The pancakes were delicious (we customized with banana chocolate chip!) as was the “scrapple” that is served along the omelette. Would recommend getting there early as it’s a small spot and there was a line already at 9 am!“
“A great place. Been open many years. Recently on TV for their Anniversary. Sometimes crowded but they are quick and move fast. You can get breakfast sandwiches all day which is a plus. Coffee very good, another plus. Only takes cash, no big deal to me. Grew up in South Philly and local neighborhood places the same. Got scrapple, egg & cheese, bacon, egg & cheese, peppers , egg & cheese. All outstanding. Owner Bruce and his wife working up front, working, greeting and monitoring everything.“
“Great breakfast/diner-ish food--I'm partial to the creamed chipped beef. Mostly takeout (few tables), all Styrofoam + plastic--goes with their mostly takeout biz..Orders seem to flow smoothly, prices are better than fair and parking is plentiful.“
“We had a delicious lunch at AWC with Great service from Michelle. Only waited about 10 minutes and it was packed but their system is very efficient. The French onion soup was excellent and my spinach quiche was perfect. Be sure to go there hungry as portions are generous.Parking: Weekends are very busy so you might have to circle around to get a spot. However, there are plenty of extra parking out back.“
“When I die, I want my funeral luncheon to be crammed into Muffins, with me propped up in a corner of the back booth, with a Western omelet, hash browns, an order of bacon (or some scrapple), and fresh, hot coffee in front of me. My wife and i have eaten in many, many diners and restaurants, but Muffins is the absolute best. Fresh food, reasonable prices, very clean and a staff that actually cares about you and what they're doing. Magnificent!“
“This is my favorite breakfast spot by far when I WFH! The food always is still warm-hot, they follow directions really well if you leave some and I have never had an issue with them. Customer service and quality is top notch. I have never been in person but I don't need too. Bacon is always delicious, they're generous with the cheese on the eggs, and the hash browns are always made to good crisp. The best beverage is the tropical mix fruit drink, it's a lil pricey but you get a good beverage and some fruit mixed in. They'll always have my money.“
“This place is adorable, and the owners are all very sweet. They give you big portions of breakfast, and everything was really good (Belgian waffle, eggs, and grits). I'll definitely go back when I'm visiting Philly again.Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility ?“
“This place is amazing! The food is out of this world delicious. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The vibe and decor is very fun and chill. So glad I stumbled on this place while in the area. It truly is a hidden gem. Can't recommend it enough!“
“Great place for a quick bite to eat. Very small on the inside. Food was quick and delicious. The staff was friendly. It is a cash only place so be prepared for that. Lots of regulars there talking like they’ve known each other for decades which is cool for a little corner spot like this. Very friendly.Vegetarian options: Hi oh can substitute for non meat itemsWheelchair accessibility: No access and very limited parking“
“You can tell they care about the customers. People kept walking in and treated everyone so well. My wife got the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich and said it was the best sandwich she’s ever had and she’s had alot. Though they forgot the spinach in my omelette she noticed without me saying and was so apologetic. One of the best services we have had and when we are back in Philly we will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: I’m on the keto diet and she was able to answer all my questions to help me figure out what I can eat.“
“So damn good I had to cuss about it. Congee was flavorful and absolutely delicious. Tofu was crispy AF. Yes for those herbs and lemons. Kept my coffee cup full- thank you fam. This place was hitting on all points.?????????????????Vegetarian options: Dishes are clearly marked. Vegan options ??“
“I did not take any pictures but this place was perfect for a quick pick me up! It's the perfect diner food that you need on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a late night! The woman who took my order was extremely kind and the food was served quickly!“
“We dined outside in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The service and food were excellent. We enjoyed delicious coffee and a wonderful breakfast, freshly prepared and pleasantly served. We will be visiting again very soon.Vegetarian options: Fresh avocado and delicious gluten free toastDietary restrictions: Gluten free bread was an added surpriseParking: Parking very easy“
“I've been getting breakfast from this small establishment on occasions for years. Their food is good, they have smoothies & a beverage selection beyond coffee & tea. The owners are friendly & they remember some of their customers by name & how most of them like their food to be prepared. I found this to be important because I'm a picky eater & I'm particular about the presentation of my food“
“This was my first time here, and it did not disappoint! This restaurant has been on my "want to go" list for years, and I loved every bit of it. I'm happy I looked at the website first... the location I was about to go to does not service mimosa... I would have been disappointed. I went to the South Philly location, and EVERYTHING was good. The steak wasn't cooked to the temperature I prefer but it was still good! There are a few items I need to go back to try and I need to bring my kids here ? All in all, this restaurant/location was perfect!“
“The food is phenomenal. It’s A very unsuspecting location but the food more than makes up for location. Literally so great ! The food is incredible the portions are insane! Also great staff i ordered a coffee with some modifications and the woman at the counter said “ oh you’ll like the smoked vanilla latte more” and my goodness was she the most correct ! The food is phenomenal go there order literally anything you won’t be disappointed!“
“Sat in and had breakfast with my son this morning. It’s officially our spot. Food amazing customer service phenomenal. ( my son extremely picky eater ate everything!) thank u soooo much !!!!Kid-friendliness: My son who is shy loved everything spoke to everyone and cleaned his plate. 100% coming again“
“We stayed in Brewerytown but found this hidden gem of a family run traditional diner. This is a non tourist spot where locals grab and go in a non stop in and out. Wide menu selection we ate 3 different mornings here because it was cheap, filling, and friendly, one of the few places open early morning is a plus. Family owned and mixed race staff was SO amazing to see! We always left full and happy. First time trying scrapple was just ok, like a fried patty of a dull flavored sausage. Had the 3 meat and egg combo best value. Grits were buttery and great with splashes of hot sauce. Pancakes just like something your mom would make for breakfast. BLT again nothing mind blowingly amazing, but comforting and familiar that takes you back to traditionally good homemade quality with regular ingredients. This would be same price as a Denny's but higher quality in service and quality taste. Come visit this diner is just a great Philly experience.“
“This place was mad busy and there was only one waitress who was actually doing takeout orders and table service so service was really slow. The food was okay. However, if you're going to serve grits to African Americans or even anyone who southern for that fact, you need to season your grits. They were so bland you needed a ton of salt and butter. I'm thinking I might have to go down there and give them a lesson on how to make them. Lol. Other than that, the atmosphere was great. The eggs were good and everyone with me said they enjoyed their food“
“I absolutely LOVE this place! I am a Vegetarian and I was impressed that they actually have very good Vegetarian options. Though I have only been there three times; but I must ADMIT, each time was a JOY and I will DEFINITELY return back and I HIGHLY recommend this Place! TOP NOTCH!Vegetarian options: Their veggie burgers are ON POINT! Loved it!“
“Leave your airs at home when visiting this Delco gem. This casual eatery is a favorite of mine. I love their breakfast and I love the fact that you can get Chinese food here as well. And the food is great and you won’t leave here hungry.I challenge you to find bigger pancakes anywhere in the Philadelphia area. If you’re a coffee lover, it’s always hot and fresh. It’s family run, and the love shows here.“
“HOMEMADE SCRAPPLE… I did not know what was a thing. I am a scrapple snob when I go out to eat breakfast I ask what brand of scrapple do they carry? If it’s not Habbersett, I will not order it. Needless to say the scrapple was accompanied was 2 sunny side up eggs cooked perfectly with home fries and toast a little bit of shock as it’s $11 but for homemade scrap I guess it’s worth it.“
“Where to start!!! I happened to be at Upper Darby HS this morning doing a favor and decided to see what Yelp recommended near me. There were the usual (Tank and Libby's....Sabrina's....Kettle....etc), but I'm a common guy by nature and wanted to get back to my corner, neighborhood diner roots. All these fancy places starting me to talking with a Main Line accent when I grew up in New Castle.... lol.... This place showed up, and although there weren't many reviews, they were all excellent. Plus, looking at the pics, this was the vibe I was looking for. Walked in and was greeted by Patty and Marla. Within 5 minutes, they made me feel like a regular, when I had never even been there before. I ordered a cup of coffee while I checked out the menu. I NEVER would've expected such a great cup of coffee from a corner spot. It was worthy of La Colombe. For breakfast I decided to have the 2XL egg mixed grill. This included...... get this..... two scrambled eggs (i added cheese), home fries (I added peppers and onions), two slices of thick slab bacon, two pieces of sausage, two slices of ham, and one piece of scrapple and toast on the side....... All this...... for only $11.95. While I was eating this hearty, delicious meal, in walks the owner, Jason. Young man is doing the damn thing. Owns this diner and the mechanics shop across the street. Very personable. So many of our young black men are out there doing positive things like this and you don't hear about it. I'll tell you this. I live 40 minutes from here but I will support and promise to have my a** in one of those chairs at least once a month.“
“Train Stop Restaurant has Great Customer Service and has plenty of regular returning customers that as soon as the returning customer walks into the business that the staff know what the customer is already drinking to start off there dine in experience.“
“We stopped in for breakfast while waiting for my car and o be serviced. The technician at Piazza recommended Nudy’s. We were blown away! Friendly, efficient and pleasant staff. Delicious and unique breakfast selections. Will definitely be returning!“
“One of the very few places around where you can get food at a reasonable price. Unlike many they haven't raised their prices to an over excessive amount. Which is why they are getting the business. Other businesses may want to copy what they are doing instead of being greedy and over charging customers for food that should remain at a reasonable price for business.“
“Such a super cute, local family owned business! With breakfast being my first favorite type of food, I decided to give them a try based off of a recommendation from a friend. I'm very glad I did.I called in a pickup order on a snowy Saturday morning. Yes, I know... breakfast is better eaten as soon as it's prepared. A&A is small; however, they do offer a dine in option.I told Michelle, pretty lady upfront with pink (my fave color) hair, I've lived here all my life and have driven by them a thousand times but it's a New Year and I finally made it! I usually check Yelp first for recommendations and they weren't there which is how I overlooked them. They do have very good Google reviews though. What I ordered:The Pork Grand Slam (they offer a turkey and beef option as well) it comes with sausage, 2 strips of bacon, eggs, your choice of grits or home fries and pancakes.I also requested an order of French Toast but they made waffles instead. It wasn't a big deal and the waffles were very good.Michelle advised they are adding smoothies and grab and go options to their menu for the morning commuters or anyone that wants a quick breakfast fix.The service was super friendly, the aesthetic is a whole Philly vibe, everything I ordered was flavorful and the cherry on top is... Their prices!!Please stop in and treat yourself!Cheers! ?“
“This place makes great hot chocolate with real steamed milk! Unfortunately we got there too late for food (New Years Day)and they were just closing but them made me hot chocolate (We were watching the end of the Mummer's Parade and needed to get warmed up). Decent prices for a great hot chocolate!“
“This isn’t a formal, high-end, classic Italian restaurant by any means. It’s an old restaurant with a long history that has passed through multiple generations and served decent food to a variety of appreciative clientele over the years. I’m always taken aback, however, whenever I see televisions and bingo screens prominently displayed for all to see, even those well beyond the bar area. For Cherry Wonderdog, this immediately shot down the notion of Nikki’s being a place to celebrate a special meal. The interior was somber, with a bit of a Godfather feel, and the discolored upholstered benches where we sat could have used new padding twenty years ago. They reminded me of the seats in our town’s historic movie theater, which, until recently, hadn’t been replaced since the 1950s. My tasty Yuengling on draft hit the spot with just the right amount of foam. Priced at below $4, it was a bargain. Our early bird specials seemed like a good deal, too. Each of us started off with a house salad – the kind premade in the morning from a bag of wilted iceberg salad mix and left in the refrigerator for quick distribution that night. My turkey meal was pretty good even though the meat did not feel like it had been cut recently from an actual bird. Similarly, the canned cranberry sauce in a small plastic cup felt cheap. My wife was surprised by the quality of her breaded broiled haddock, but somehow she ended up with a surcharge for an unnecessarily large portion of mashed potato which the server later got approval to remove. In sum, Nikki’s was a very good offering given the price. It would be grossly unfair to compare it against a genuine Italian bistro in NYC costing twice as much. At the same time, it could still benefit from a few upgrades to enhance its product for the local crowd.“
“I always get their lemonade fruit drink from them and its phenomenal, oh and i left money on the counter and went back 3-4 hours later and they returned it to me, at the time i didn’t even know i lost it, great honest people , thanks!!!!!“
“First time going last week and the breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs with turkey pattie sausage did .ore than hit the target. It was all I imagined! For now this will be my spot to order take-out breakfast. There is no dining in and few ill sorted chairs will you wait for your order. They don't take long and the place is very clean, also the staff is mannerly!“
“The best place to get breakfast it's fast nice clean place this the only place I'll eat breakfast at opens at a good time and the breakfast sandwiches is the best bread always fresh I always get a beef bacon egg a d cheese sandwich I always have to get 2 of them with a side of cheese grits with extra cheese the grit's always thick just perfect ?????☺️“
“We were having a birthday breakfast for my girlfriend, and had the pleasure of having Basil as our server. He was absolutely AWESOME. As we are super particular about food, Basil helped us with suggestions on the menu, was absolutely hilarious, so helpful and made our entire day! She and I have both been in the customer service field for a very long time, and he again was just super great. Lemon ! Ricotta are phenomenal tooKid-friendliness: I would take my 12 yr old here no prob, the menu is very kid friendly even outside the kids menu“
“Love this little neighborhood spot. Liz took our order and is a a total sweetheart-- and the world needs more people with her smile :) my partner loved his corn beef hash, the food was amazing, cooked perfectly, good home cooking with huge portions, and the prices are great. We will definitely eat here when we want a hearty homecooked breakfast again!“
“How? How is Karla’s food this good? We’ve had nearly everything on the menu over the years and each dish is as outstanding as the next. The flavors, textures, ratios are all perfection. My husband and I without fail will look at each other a few bites in, shaking our heads and one of us saying: Karla seriously what the hell.“
“Food was so flavorful, hot and tasty! service was great, staff was kind and very polite. The food was absolutely the best that I had in a long time.Kid-friendliness: the staff goes out of their way to make sure kids are comfortable, have something to eat and or play with.“
“First time eating Brunch in this restaurant yesterday. Not too busy. Assigned a table for two. Floor directly under my seat was wet from spilled coffee so I asked a server to wipe it which she did half heartedly and not thoroughly. Took longer for her to attend to us despite the not so busy time. Luckily another very pleasant server was kind enough to step in and promptly served us with a beautiful smile and attitude.Food was great! Original server didn’t bother to check back in with us if we needed anything else like, um, water?Came time to pay bill in front and the amount was just about right. Paid the 20 percent tip somewhat reluctantly (I think that was the minimum if I recall) and was told by the somewhat frosty and disengaged front person that the card came through only for the tip(??). Had to swipe card for second time making sure to ask lady I don’t have to tip again. Made me feel it was my fault, no apologies or anything.I would give this place 5 stars except for the front desk reception(not as welcoming as other places) and our first inattentive server. The other server who helped out was great. Food more than made up for this so, 4 stars. I would eat here again but maybe try a different location.“
“Great prices and more than generous portions on all of the classic breakfast and lunch food. Burgers are simply amazing, and they are huge! You can't beat breakfast as far as pricing and portions. This is a small place where people have been going for years and years. It ain't fancy, but it hits the mark every time.“
“They been here for over 35yrs and I absolutely love their breakfast and food??and cleaness. I love them they are good, humble and wonderful human beings.great hospitality.aINFINITE BLESSINGS TO THEM ALWAYS ????????? I still remember coming there after school at the old ROBERTO CLEMENTE MIDDLE SCHOOL ON 5 & LUCERNE.THIS IS HISTORY IN OUR HOOD.❤️❤️❤️“
“Just outside of downtown Lancaster, this diner is definitely worthwhile to visit. My stuffed flounder with crabmeat was excellent—no breaded crab stuffing—and the sides were all homemade. The home baked rolls were tasty, too.Parking: Easy to find off the main road and plenty of parking.“
“Champs is always a good stop for any good breakfast/lunch options. I've gotten their philly steak Dankwich, which at first didn't really love love, but the last times it's been amazing! Can specifically say their red velvet pancakes are the perfect sweet treat. Amazing customer service, you can tell people love this place and what they do (I wish I caught the guy's name, but he's always super helpful with any delivery orders and is absolutely hilarious!). It's not an eat-in restaurant, and the waiting area is pretty small but luckily you won't be there for very long because everything is pretty quick. Cecil B Moore is lucky to have Champs!“
“Always a pleasure seeing Ms. LINDA(the owner) when I dine in or take out. Ive been eating here for over 12yrs. The food is great and ricing are always reasonable. I even had her add a specific sandwhich to rhe menu. A breakfast sandwhich on frenchtoast bread(ex:turkey bacon egg and cheese on potatoe french toast) amazing!!!!! Fresh!!!!! And prepared with love by Al and Ray. Love J&S breakfast ? ?“
“The owner is such a nice guy and this business has great food and great service i have known this man for over 40 years when he use to be at 60th Market in west philly the food is still the same good as always one of the few gems left in Philadelphia from yesteryear that never changed i go there at least once or twice a week Tony is a great guy and so is his business Tony Boys I give it 5 stars !“
“First Watch is a chain; thus, their approach is the same: I personally ate breakfast in one in Greenville, Delaware.A very healthy breakfast:1. Hot oatmeal--seems to be new to the menu. lots of generously-sized raw fruit mixed throughout. Although some milk and raw sugar were supplied, the sweetner was not really needed.2. A healthy, cold, vegetable drink of kale was tasty, but with way too much ice--giving me, of course, less to drink.3. A delightfully-tasty grilled blueberry muffin was part of the mix.4. I was told I HAD to order FOUR pieces of bacon (I wanted two) . I declined to order it. Turns out they aceded to my request.5. My moderate breakfast came to $21.28 with a 20% tip--a little steep to me, but still very enjoyable!“
