“Love trying out new Diners and "First Watch" has not disappointed me yet! Don't think they could, actually. My 2nd visit, this morning, They prepared a Scrambled egg w/Cheese & Spinach, Chicken sausage patty, topped with sliced Avocado on toasted multi-grain bread. Can you say yummmm😋👍🏽🌞 oh, and I left with their "Watermelon, Pineapple, Lime and Mint Refreshing Drink...Cool and delicious💛“

“This is a relatively new brunch place in South Philly. Well it says brunch place but it is definitely good for lunch and dinner as well.

I'm getting the same vibe as brunch places back in Indonesia here.

I ordered Nasi Uduk and Kopi Gula Aren. Both stays true to the authentic recipe and portion is generous.

“We found this super cute restaurant while visiting Philly. I absolutely loved the ambiance. Small but cute atmosphere. Food was AMAZING! fresh ingredients, coffee was awesome, the crust on the breakfast potatoes was chefs kiss! and the jam for the biscuits and multi grain bread is to die for!! “First Watch is one of our go-to places for breakfast. The food is usually five star. I had the traditional breakfast eggs scrambled, bacon, potatoes, and toast. The eggs were a bit tasteless it seemed because they used little or no salt. The potatos were salted and tasted fine. The bread was also a little bland since I ordered it without the usual heaps of butter. I'm a tea drinker and the selection is variable. This time there was enough non-earl grey and herbal tea to have two full cups of English breakfast. The tea situation is always dicey, often only decaf black and herbal with one Earl Grey. It would also be great if they ditched the stevia for either one or both of the chemical sweeteners, yellow or pink would do.

It's still a good breakfast place, just could be better with a little more salt and better sweetener options.“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

She’s like an old-time waitress in the best way—friendly, attentive, and she makes you feel truly appreciated. She goes above and beyond and makes the whole place feel like home. Lee's Belgian waffle came with a side of powdered sugar to sprinkle atop your buttered and syrup covered waffles. I savored every sweet, semi- cake bite.“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“I have lived in Havertown my whole life, and I had never been here before. I’m so glad I finally gave it a try. I tend to get the chicken salad when I eat out, and I would rate their chicken salad sandwich a 9+ out of 10! Great flavor and consistency plus the sandwich was packed and overflowing, without being messy. I had to take half home with me. One of the best I’ve ever had! The service was very good, the interior was clean and bright, and prices were on par with most other places. I will definitely be going here again instead of Nudy’s to try some of their other lunch and breakfast items.“

“I'm not home often enough to really enjoy Good Hatch, but when I do...watch out! Typical breakfast fare that's packed with flavor and always consistent.
I almost always order the hungry man. It's well worth the starting price of $15.50 (as of this review). With that you get 2 eggs, 2 meats, 2 pancakes, and homefries.
For today, I upgraded to the french toast for $1more.
Everything is seasoned and cooked well. The scrambled eggs today were cooked a little hard but they were still good. The food was ready when I arrived but there was a little confusion so it took a few minutes, and even with my walk home, the food was still hot (maybe 10 minutes after being ready).
The bacon and sausage were cooked to perfection. and the french toast? OMG. The challah bread is perfect choice and whatever was done to give the outside that nice little caramelization was incredible.
I mean....this was breakfast and lunch, and I still dont want dinner.“
