“I was a fan of First Watch for years, ( I fell in love with them in Florida), but the past few times I've been disappointed (with take - out orders). They don't follow directions and the portions are way smaller and no utensils or napkins. I hope things get better, because they will be losing a faithful customer.“

We did not feel rushed when ordering our food and with asking questions about ingredients in a few food items/choices. Ambiance: So this was my first time here. Very delicious food and pleasant staff, however I was shocked to see the TINY tables for eating. I have never seen tables so tiny, in a cafe/eatery setting, ever in my life...for eating! I was afraid the food wouldn't all fit on the table and that we would have to hold a plate in our hands. The seating is VERY tight, like a packed sardine tight, like I wanted to leave and go elsewhere with roomier seating tight, but my man wanted to treat me to delicious food, so I chalked it up and said nothing. Otherwise food and staff were awesome, and you get what you pay for; i.e. their portions are LARGE and very yummy. I rated them 3 stars, although I really wanted to give them 2, solely for the seating setup. Otherwise, I rate them 5, for their food and service.“

“The Love. was simply incredible! We came here with our 6 year old son. Our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating to our 6 year old which you don’t always find in Rittenhouse. The atmosphere was light and airy and the food was great! We got the sourdough focaccia, beet salad, heirloom tomato salad, sungold tomato pappardelle, and stuff pepper with romesco. The tomato dishes were my favorite. You can really taste the quality of ingredients, and I love the additional of fermented items. It’s worth coming out of your way for.“

“These are the most generous people I’ve ever had the privilege of ordering from in my life. I’m going through a family crisis and I’m in town for the week. I’ve been eating wawa veggie sandwiches and French fries for over a week now and I decided to treat myself to something vegan so I ordered through grubhub for the first time. I guess I accidentally ordered it to be delivered the following day. So I just called them and asked them if they were able to change the delivery time. They said sure no problem but apparently they couldn’t find a GH driver so the owner drove 20 minutes to deliver it to me and I’m honestly about to cry after the week I’ve had. They will never know how much this means to me. I am a lifelong Boardwalk Vegan fan and cannot recommend them enough!!!“

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

“Dottie’s Donuts are the best donuts in Philadelphia. I’ll take the Pepsi Challenge to the crap they sell at Dunkin and I’d pick Dottie’s every single time. They’re quite possibly the greatest donuts in the state of Pennsylvania, which would immediately place them in the state national treasure donut contest. A lot of the meat-free restaurants in town serve tasty food but aren't exactly in the ballpark of WFPB — whereas Joy is looking to add years to your healthspan... without selling short on flavor! Positive ambience as soon as we walk in, our server ‘s name ELIF ( hope i remember it right)guided as through with menu selection and showed the best costumer service . I appreciated the complimentary bread and the hummus while waiting for the entree.I love the taste of it as freshly baked from the oven. Food portions are just right. The price is also decent. “So I have been to Philly several times and this restaurant has been on my radar to try. Finally made sure it got included in my culinary trip to Philadelphia. After asking for a recommendation between some didhes I could not decide on...my main and desert, my waiter gave recommendations that did not disappoint. The Carbonara was excellent.and the Budino di Pane scrumptious! I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. It was busy and just a little too noisy for me, but if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of an eatery, you will love this restaurant! I recommend and hopefully get to come again on another visit to Philly.“
