“I was excited to go to Joe Beef with my son, since we both had been hearing great things about the place for years. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by several of the staff as we walked through the restaurant to our bar seat. I always try to sit at the bar since you can chat with the staff, as they cook or prepare drinks. The service was outgoing and helpful, and the atmosphere was charming and cozy. We started with the escargot, which were great, but the butternut squash soup was absolutely spectacular, and by far the best thing of the entire meal. After that, we had the duck, and the lobster pasta, which came highly recommended. The duck dish was succulent, apparently “free range” which gave it a bit of a gamey taste, and it came with a gorgeous savoury sauce which included delicious duck hearts. Unfortunately, the lobster claw, (still in its shell), that came with the pasta was a little off, not exactly fresh, but the other parts of the lobster were great. We finished off with the “Profiteroles Poire & Chocolat”, an ice cream, pear, cookie and chocolate dessert. As I understand it, the ice cream was homemade which helped make it a wonderful dessert. All in all, we had a great time, but I have to say that the food was good, but not the kind of “blow your mind amazing” that I hope for from a high-end restaurant.“

“The food (taste, selection, portioning, presentation ) is top notch. Service from the moment you enter the establishment, to the server, is excellent! It is obvious that lot of thought was pit into the menu and a lot of training and expectation were placed on the shoulders of the cooks, managers and servers. “We had lunch at this # Brasseurs location on St-Paul E. in Old Montreal on Thursday May 2, 2024. We choose this because we had a very good time at the other on on Rue de St-Denis on Tue 4/30/24. We had just completed a 2-1/2 hr walking tour that ended near here. So exploring is thirsty work & it was lunch time. Big brewpub with 2 levels. The upper level was hosting about 100 high school students on a field trip. We sat at the bar and were immediately acknowledged by the busy bartender, Marina. She brought menus & waters and took our drink orders. I had a spicy Bloody Maria ($6.75) & my bride had a white wine ($10). I had a loaded, juicy burger w/ frites ($20) and she had the chicken Caesar salad ($16). Well prepared, burger hot & salad cold-perfect. Our second time at a 3 Brasseurs was a relaxing experience after exploring Vieux Montreal. Thank you & Merci to Marina and the staff. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY USA“

“Visiting from NB and our cab driver recommended we try! We ordered the mixed plate with extra hummus, and halloumi plate. Everything was on point. Two of us could not finish the meal and had enough for both to eat for lunch the following day. Staff were friendly, environment was cozy. Highly recommend!“
