“Every single time we come here, it is simply amazing! The staff is friendly and attentive, they are always pleasant. The food is so so so good. At times it is super creative in display and arrangement, with a real "wow! factor" upon receiving your plate. Quality is consistent and always delicious. You are guaranteed a good time, especially if you follow recommendations for food/wine. They know their stuff!“
“Tasteful food and delicious coffee, either hot or cold. Also the service is soo nice. Thanks for an excellent and kind place to stop by.Delicious food and coffee, whether hot or cold. Also the service is very good. Thank you very much for an excellent and pleasant place to visit.“
“A quaint , tranquil and lovely place with great music and awesome food varieties. They have a very good almond-coconut cake which tastes amazing. The vegetarian food is lovely and transports me back home. Will definitely come back here again !“
“Loved the place! With I could've tried all the food! Staff was great and the vibes of the place are awesome! Gets full quick though! Many vegan and gluten free options. Definitely going there for my brunch again!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and veganDietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“First time eating creole food and this place did not disappoint. We got the griot, plantain and rice, as well as the spicy chicken. Both of them were delicious and very well cooked. The service was impeccable from our server (and owner?). The place was busy when we arrived, and they had a lot of takeout orders, but our food came out fast and everything was awesome. We will definitely go back for more griot and plantain!“
“This is a warm, inviting, and cozy place, and since it was only a few doors down from where we were staying, we went there often. The menu is extensive and offered something for everyone - I particularly enjoyed the couscous and others liked the burgers and fries. Service was super friendly and prompt. I hope to get back in warmer weather so I can experience the back terrace.“
“It was delicious, an impeccable 4-course service and a culinary experience discovered for us, fusion and tasty flavors, to be repeated regularly. The choice and the food and wine pairing suggestions are judicious and the pisco sour is great! The service, a little long but since it was Valentine's Day and it was full, it's OK. Courteous and attentive staff. A must!“
“Great place in Old Port serving excellent food for a resonable price. There are a lot of choices on the menu, with different types of fish, seafood, meats, and veggies, which is suitable for everyone with dietary restrictions. We got the 4 course menu for 53$ and had lots of food.I especially loved the scallops, they were phenomenal with the celeriac purée.Cocktails are a form of art here, thoughfully imagined and created with passion. They are researched and well balanced with unique flavours that work perfectly.A place that is artfully decorated with local artists artwork.Don't forget to visit the Speakeasy downstairs! It's a vibe!Vegetarian options: They have well thoughout vegetarian dishesDietary restrictions: Various options“
“They offer a wide selection of choice, the mala based soup is a bit spicy but not overpowering the other flavors. The only downside is two of the vegetables I picked had a sour taste even though they just brought them to the shelf while I picked my ingredients. I understand it’s hard to make sure everything is 100% fresh, but that one or two items that are not ruin the whole experience. Better quality control needed for sure.“
“Possibly the best experience I've had in a café and God knows I've visited cafés in Montreal and around the world. Rachel and Alexandre were lovely and very attentive, they provide a customer experience that exceeds expectations. In addition, the menu offered is delicious and truly comprehensive for a café open at the end of the day, offering bistro-style French gastronomy. We all loved the soup of the day and the fresh bread offered on the side. A perfect place for snack or late night munchies. The desserts are to die for. Succulent is an understatement. I recommend and I will definitely return soon!“
“Great place, with a good variety of Belgian beers. However, as a true Belgian, he misses certain essential specialties such as peaches with tuna, American fries, etc. The mussels were good but nothing really special. I still recommend it to all my Belgian friends!“
“Superb discovery! Impeccable atmosphere and quality of food, reasonable value for money. The only little thing is that we almost feel pressured every 10 minutes while we eat to find out if we're finished. Otherwise the service remains very good.“
“I had lunch with my wife and two friends at this place. We loved what we were served. I took beef tartare and my wife the hot goat cheese salad. I totally recommend. Plus the bathrooms were clean.Vegetarian options: Hot goat cheese salad that my partner had“
“Located in downtown, in the heart of Place des Arts, Bivouac is a great and must-go restaurant that won't disappoint the most picky food. It has everything for success, great view, great services and motivated staffs, beautiful decor and finally amazing food. I will definitely come back.Parking: Inside paid parking can be expensive during the week.“
“Such a quaint and lovely spot for a romantic dinner. Fantastic atmosphere for a date night, definitely. Food was delicious and very well seasoned. And the French onion soup was the perfect starter. Staff was delightfully charming and knowledgeable. Ask for a suggestion for the wine pairing and you won’t be disappointed! Went above and beyond to make our night spectacular. Will definitely go again and would absolutely recommend to anyone!“
“The man behind the counter was so kind and friendly when I came in with my kids, one of whom was misbehaving. My kids liked their ice creams, especially the maple syrup topping and I enjoyed my lemon sorbet. The shop was busy and full of interesting maple products.“
“Great promo on Tuesdays-Wednesdays! (Burger or tartare of your choice + glass of wine or beer for $25) We also shared a smoked meat poutine and a crabcake for three and it was just perfect. Our waitress (Elizabeth I think…) was very attentive and gave us excellent suggestions. The only less positive comment would be that the salad accompanying the tartare was perhaps lacking a little vinaigrette but considering the excellence of the other dishes tasted, it's really not dramatic!“
“Nice restaurant. A little too noisy for diner with friends. It was difficult to have a conversation. Probably needs some sound panels on the ceiling to lessen the noise level. Waiter as excellent. I has the mussels n fries. A few of them were completely raw. Put them aside because seafood is very delicate. My sed feet was profiteroles and they were the best I ever taste!“
“I bought a box of chocolates as a gift and who eats little chocolate. He found them delicious and what was great was that I was allowed to choose the kinds I wanted. Thank you The deal is chocolate! You allowed me to please someone who really deserved it ❤️“
“A great surprise for us as we did not expect too much for a restaurant opened on a Sunday evening in Old Montreal. The service was impeccable, the food was excellent as well as the wine. We will definitely come back...we're told there is a nice terrasse in the summertime :)“
“We like this restaurant which offers an interesting menu as well as a daily menu that varies. The choice of beer is respectable (the 4 Surfers on tap anyway!). A slight wait at the end of service despite very low traffic, but the staff is very friendly and courteous at all times. The burgers are really very good and the onion soup as a starter stands out with its salty/spicy side.“
“Food is great, never really was my thing to eat there but it's not bad.- The dancefloor time, after 10pm, is one of my favorite. -Sometimes not a lot of space to walk around but still managable since it's never full full, however there is always ambiance on friday and saturday.- The music is commercial which is good and I feel like they improved about it. It was always the same playlist-ish, the same songs at around the same time, aka french rap/songs after 1am which was quite boring after some time. But it seems that they have started to vary a bit more, have yet to fully know about that so do give it a try.- The service is good, you don't have to wait too long ans there's enough security so there's barely any bad thing happenning.- The security is chill, never got any trouble with them.- The terrasse in summer is great, you can get a nice summer feeling with the busy Montreal.- Entry fee for the dancefloor is 7$-ish so quite cheap for a nightclub- All in all, a good nightclub, never really was disappointed as long as you're with the right people“
“We went to the bistro for a group event, we had access to the glass roof and honestly, it was great! The little fireplace, the rustic look, I loved it!The only major downside, the portions were tiny, despite the 3 courses, we all left still hungry…Impeccable service from the manager and waitress. Superb presentation of the dishes!“
“Really cool place. We've never been to the events, but we really like the food, either for brunch, lunch or dinner (now I understand they changed their opening hours so please verify). Tasty and generous portions, with an effort to serve local products. The atmosphere is nice, gigantic place with high ceilings, making it easier to enjoy the moment than those packed places. We enjoyed the choice of music as well. We recommend!“
“Annabelle and the employees are helpful! Super good coffee, fresh, to my taste!Varieties of local, organic/healthy products.Beautiful natural beauty products too.Good sandwiches!Good pastries too.I've been coming for years.Clean place, close to everything, with helpful staff.Good hours (open early to late)!Thank you Robin, Annabelle and thank you all!Looking forward to it!“
“It is an all you can eat for 42 $ or so. The deco was very cool for my 8 year old who loves anime . It is bright and very colorful, tons of act and figurines everywhere. Was there tonight, Sunday at 6. Busy, but there no line up until we left around 8 something. The food was great and tasty, a bit like a kanda menu, but has more sauces for the meats. Only issue I has was some plates can out no very warm, and a couple were very salty. But in general, they all tasted great. Their warm fish sauce was very nice but did not care too much for their white sauce on the fried calamari.Service was very great, fast and efficient. Dirty plates were picked up within a maximum of 3 minutes for one plate and normally 1 minute.I very muched like the food and my son ate more at restaurants then another. He asked to go back 3 more times. Which is a big complimentKid-friendliness: It's for young and big kids too“
“It's a cute place, but it's kitschy, as expected for a hawaiian themed place in montreal. It's fun, but I didn't find the food was particularly exceptional. They have a lot of sweet and savoury crepes, as well as full breakfasts.“
“Three people, Friday evening, without reservation (reservation for group only).Beautiful menu with low and high prices, the same for the wine list. Good eponymous beers.Fish 'n chip: nice portion, good breading and cooked to perfection, crispy exterior and tender and juicy interior, good fries, good tartar sauce.Cornish chicken: "obviously small", well grilled, good piri-piri sauce, although light. Unfortunately, too many small bones in this little chicken, I would have paid a little more for a real quarter chicken.Mini burger: good breading, good buns, not much taste.Small potatoes with cheddar: good portion, very bland.Green beans and toasted almonds: good portion, good cooking, very good.Salad: good portion, light dressing, good.Pastei de nata: excellent, even if I'm not a fan of cinnamon, perfectly cooked, so tasty!Lemon tart: good meringue/lemon balance, doubtful, at first, a drizzle of slightly sweet and lemony olive oil, it was finally perfect.Bolo de bolacha: good consistency, good balance of flavor, surprisingly light.Good atmosphere, not too noisy. Prices for all tastes, courteous staff.“
