“La Belle & La Boeuf is a Quebec chain but dont be detered, it is delicious! I come to Quebec several times a year and have been recommended to come and get a good burger here and finally checked it out, and I will be returning! The vibe itself is fun in a whimsy, mismatched but not, cozy but inviting and exciting? Hard to describe, but I was instantly happy upon walking in seeing the signage, furniture, lights, and giant bookshelf wall. I got the double smash burger similar to like a western BBQ burger and one bite in I was extremely happy with my decisions to finally try this place out. The fries were top-notch. Cole-slaw comes with the plate that was sweet with a mayo base. My friend ordered the classic and actually got the gluten-free bun, which the server was happy to accommodate her. She enjoyed the taste and texture, which can be hard to come by for gluten-free alternatives. A final note of fun is their signatute kool-aid pickles. Still confused by the taste, it was just surprising and definitely more of so adding to the novelty of the experience.“
“Awesome place. Really hard to find because it's a speakeasy but excellent customer service and really good selection for whiskey at a fair price. Couldn't recommend this place enough for cocktail lovers or whiskey lovers. Wish they had a place like this near me“
“Fantastic!! Beautiful place with high energy vibe! Amazing cocktails, wonderful selection of dishes, well-prepared with delicious complex flavors. The wait staff were so friendly and accommodating, even helped me identify a music track that we loved!“
“Memorable experience! The food was perfect. We took a tasting menu for 4 people, so that we could taste as many dishes as possible and experience the Nikkei. Literally everything was good!! The service was warm and professional. A must-have!“
“Amazing! We were seated at the bar in front of THE best, Vick. He cooked in front of us and answered all our questions. His service was impeccable and he took great care of us. The dishes were delicious, full of flavor while having the traditional touch of Peruvian dishes. It’s the best ceviche I’ve ever eaten!Hoping to return soon! Thanks again Vick?Vegetarian options: Several very interesting optionsKid-friendliness: No.Wheelchair accessibility: No. All tables are high.“
“Highly recommend! The staff was so nice and accommodating for our last minute reservations with a party of 7 on a Saturday night. Food, service and atmosphere was beyond our expectations, we were super happy with everything! Still talking about the food a few days later! Will try it again on our next visit!“
“My husband and I were looking for a place to end our night and this was a Lovely speakeasy! It wasn’t as busy as we expected so made the seating much more comfortable. The ambiance was very fun and I fell in love with these neon colors as you entered.“
“Very cozy bar, where we were able to sip our cocktails with friends. The waiter William is very pleasant and gives good advice on our drink choices. The cocktails are very good and refined. We enjoyed our time in this place, we will come back.“
“A very tiny bar, with one sitting table in the middle. I would say max 8 people can go in, and I assume in the summer more with the terrace. The service was amiable. We had two cocktails one margarita and one specialty cocktail of the season. Both were beautifully presented and both were delicious,“
“We were sitting at the kitchen bar and it was quite a show! A nice atmosphere, reasonable volume, a good plate of nachos and excellent cocktails in one-liter Mason jars. I liked the Skywalker and the Hurricane. Impeccable service. I will come back!“
“A nice speakeasy for drinks. The place is dark and way smaller than I thought. I like to know what I’m ordering or at least look at menu, but they don’t have any. They make drinks based on what you like. The drink I got though was very good. Just a bit expensive.“
“Beautiful speakeasy in a hidden alley with a very friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere and decor inside. The choice of cocktails is large enough without being infinite, which is very positive. I really loved the federal reserve cocktail (20 cad), and also the smoke show was nice (17 cad). I also tried the cocktail 17 (17 cad) and the 40 thieves (16 cad) all of them interesting and good. Definitely a must go in Montreal.“
“UNAVOIDABLE !Having already been here several times, I never took the time to publish a review.By wanting to send the address to someone, I am taking the time to thank this entire Verdun team! From the kitchen to the dining room, including the wines and cocktails, everything is always absolutely delicious and perfect.Flavors, smiles, oysters, kindness, a great setting!Superb tastings with exciting enthusiasts!Thank you to all of you and in particular to Pauline!Keep it up, and people will always come back, thank you a thousand times!“
“Exemplary service and a fun mix of creative cocktails. Drinks were a bit on the sweet side but were delicious. I highly recommend the Loop-garou (not pictured), which was spicy, fruity, and paired well with the goldfish they give you to nibble on.“
“Amazing drinks!! The staff are so passionate and it shows in the quality and complexity of each drink. Each drink is like a meal -- complete. The staff and Loyd was also kind and welcoming, we would be regulars if we lived here to see what they're making next. Highly recommend“
“It appears they opened in 2022 roughly. We’ve been walking along Ontario Street for a long time and never really got the point to enter. One afternoon we decided to go for a walk and headed in a new direction. We entered It must’ve been a few minutes after four, there were very few people inside. We realized that they had just opened their doors for the day At 4pm. They have a pretty good list of drinks cocktails and a very good beer selection. They also have a happy hour with a price reduction on select drinks. The decor is very modern, there’s something inside that makes you feel energized. The services is great, Jerome was our server, and he took very good care of us.We only went for a few drinks, but will definitely come back and try some of their food.Parking: Your best bet is taking the metro to Berri UQAM and walking over. However, if you are coming by Ca, you can probably strike up a parking on Ontario Street or Atataken.“
“We had an incredible experience at Chi! Wonderful food, the ambiance could not be better and the staff is absolutely amazing. The fries and poke bowl were so delicious. We can’t wait to come back. This truly is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“
“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“
“For those unaccustomed to crowded drinking establishments (i.e. me), the experience can be disconcerting due to the decibel level far beyond tolerable, where patrons and music s strive to bury each other under a torrent of noise. We were initially assigned two fixed stools in front of the downstream counter, amidst the hubbub. Having noted the availability of a charming little table for two in a more remote corner, I requested a transfer. I wrongly thought that we would be quieter there, but where there were fewer people, a series of speakers helped to overload the space with more sound. This morning, my poor sensitive ears made me pay for it with a sigh, an annoying reminder of the fact that with sound, just like with drinks, you have to go in moderation. On the other hand, my stomach was happy. The Henrietta bar gave him exactly what he wanted: delicious little dishes full of flavor and good cocktails, all at a relatively low price (total: $55 per person). An excellent beef tartare (my number 1 of the evening), a chicken liver mousse that my friend cleaned like you clean a jar of Nutella, popcorn with Manchego which was decimated one piece after the other and, finally, a fresh and tasty ceviche. Three of the four dishes were accompanied by thin slices of bread toasted to near perfection, crunchy on the surface, but tender in the flesh. However, their multiple presence seemed somewhat redundant to me and perhaps there was a “concept” there. My eyes weren't left out either. The presentation of the dishes was sophisticated. In addition, the dining room is clad in elegance with its white walls, globe lights and mirrors. We therefore find the same good visual taste as in the Atlantic tavern, another establishment of certain owners of the place. My friend and I naturally wanted to take advantage of the aesthetics of the place to take some portraits of ourselves, but in the dim light, our faces obviously didn't stand out so well!In short, advice to cushy gourmets like me who prefer a little peace and quiet, it would be better to go there shortly after opening, during the week, rather than at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening (!) Despite the protest of my eardrums, I wouldn't refuse to go back in the summer season for the terrace and to taste other little delicacies: the cheese sandwich, the deviled eggs, the Portuguese sandwich, the oyster mushrooms...Vegetarian options: Eggs, salad, mushrooms...Parking: Squares all along the street. After 6 p.m. on weekends, nothing to pay.Kid-friendliness: No. We don't serve Kool-Aid.Wheelchair accessibility: If you can climb four steps!“
“I loved the magical moody Japanese vibe of this cocktail bar located discreetly on Cathcart Street in downtown Montreal. Note 12$ underground parking i conveniently located next door! I loved my experience here, service at times was a little slow, but while you wait you absorb the cool vibe all around you so it makes up for it! Staff was friendly and the cocktails are cool! It’ an all about the VIBE at Gokudo so I highly recommend visiting this place. Put it on your list of must visit spots in Montreal. Thank you to the staff at Gokudo for making my bday memorable.“
“Very nice, affordable restaurant bar offering excellent cocktails and very attractive discounts on them during happy hours during the week. It's also the perfect place for oyster lovers from Sunday to Wednesday at $1 per oyster from 5 to 7! This is an interesting promotion that should not be overlooked right now! Well done!“
“I arrived late for my dinner and I didn't see the menu. My wife and our friends had already ordered for me and I was really amazed! Fresh, tasty and different dishes. Great atmosphere, small bar in the square where the regulars meet in the evening. Superb for the dining experience!“
“Excellent bar to dance latin music. The dj plays great songs, we had a blast!! We are from Colombia and this is the best dj we have found in montreal so far that plays good latin party music. There is enough space to dance, clean badrooms, good lightning.“
“We were there in September and it was the perfect place to be on a perfect day. The drinks were delicious, vibe was great, friendly staff and good food. I recommended it to my friend who was visiting Montréal this weekend but we realized it was closed for the season probably:/Hopefully next summer“
“We reserved the back space for a birthday. Staff was great, huge selection of spirits and some St Ambroise on tap to cleanse your palette. Would definitely recommend for an enjoyable evening of sipping and company.NOTE: No food is available but they allow you to order for delivered there.“
“We went there on a Wednesday evening, we had the restaurant to ourselves. Very pretty place, with suitable background music.Regarding the dishes, they were very good, the starters very tasty and not too bulky. The main courses were very substantial but we still had room for dessert.A chocolate mousse, which we decided to share with my girlfriend, but since we really liked it, we ordered a second one.We will go back to try the brunches :)“
“Delicious, delicious sushi (from someone who has eaten sushi all over Montreal)! We got the Smoke, Phoenix and the Flame makis + the Blossom tartare. I'm still thinking about their sushi as I'm eating my lunch the day after ? Service was excellent and the drinks were very tasty as well (Ghost 2.0 and Akira). I'm definitely returning again!“
“Early dinner because the restaurant is small, which was fine with us. We tried the tasting menu for two and every course was superb. I was a bit skeptical about some of the wines—no, go with it, they pair beautifully with the dishes. Great neighborhood to hang around, the sommelier was the best.“
“Going for a drink with friends is perfect in this place which has accumulated many years of experience thanks to an offer that evolves over time, but above all thanks to the unparalleled service of the employees and managers who will make you feel at home. . I can only recommend it!“
“My favorite cocktail bar in Montreal - hands down! Super cool speakeasy vibe...I felt like I was in a James Bond movie. Dimly lit, DJ was spinning some tunes...the vibe was perfect! After a short wait, our hostess got us a seat at the bar. IF you can sit at the bar, do it! Watching the bartenders make their drinks is very entertaining. Our bartender (I think his name is Arnold) was awesome to hang out with. He was engaging, very helpful and simply a master of his craft. The menu is very big...lots of options for whiskey flights as well as a TON of mixed drinks. The bartenders will also make you whatever you're in the mood for.I can't wait to go back!!“
“Great discovery! The staff is really friendly and gives good advice. The cocktails and food are really good!!! We were told that there would be drag shows soon, we can't wait to go back for this occasion. The only downside is that the price of meals is quite high compared to other restaurants offering the same type of dish.Vegetarian options: Various starters, Arepas and pupusas“
“Great place in Old Port serving excellent food for a resonable price. There are a lot of choices on the menu, with different types of fish, seafood, meats, and veggies, which is suitable for everyone with dietary restrictions. We got the 4 course menu for 53$ and had lots of food.I especially loved the scallops, they were phenomenal with the celeriac purée.Cocktails are a form of art here, thoughfully imagined and created with passion. They are researched and well balanced with unique flavours that work perfectly.A place that is artfully decorated with local artists artwork.Don't forget to visit the Speakeasy downstairs! It's a vibe!Vegetarian options: They have well thoughout vegetarian dishesDietary restrictions: Various options“
“We had a lovely time at Pincette and it was definitely a meal to remember! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time. The service from Michael and Manon was excellent and so friendly. Drinks were delicious (everything we tried was great, with a special shoutout to the French Canadian cocktail). We liked the lobster ravioli so much that we ordered a second plate of it after finishing the first one ^_^ Merci!“
“Nous avons fait un excellent 5/7 hier soir, le 26 novembre. Le service était d’un professionnalisme a la hauteur d’un 5/5. Fabrice est d’une élégance exceptionnelle. Ca fait du bien de vivre une expérience remarquable dans ce quartier.“
“So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“
“An unforgettable culinary experience in the heart of Italy, without even leaving our city! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Julien, the owner, who was also our server. His kindness and passion for authentic Italian cuisine were contagious, and he took the time to explain the menu to us, enriching our experience. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, each dish demonstrated careful selection and remarkable expertise. Julien graciously offered us the best focaccia freshly made on site and by him. His commitment to uncompromising quality and his generosity are reflected in the flavor of his dishes. The service, impeccable from start to finish, was both professional and comfortingly warm. Julien and his team made us feel special, transforming a simple meal into a memorable evening. This restaurant is a rare find for those looking to savor the true flavors of Italy, delivered with passion and generosity.A huge congratulations to Julien and his team for this exquisite experience. We highly recommend this gem to anyone who loves good Italian food and look forward to returning for other occasions.Vegetarian options: Yes“
“Rock and good food coexist here.A great place, fantastic food, great service and a design that catches the gluttons who like rock. In addition to an excellent playlist.I tried the crab cakes and the mussels. And obviously, local beers.Very satisfied.“
“India Rosa has become one of our favourite spots in the city. It's a guarantee for a nice meal out. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is clean. The food is amazing, and all of the staff (including the kitchen), are incredibly friendly.“
“Really good food, good service, food arrived quickly too. The drinks were delicious too. Original and tasty. The look and decor is awesome. The only thing I can say against is that the music is way too loud for me. But everything else is over the top.“
“In the damp embrace of March's eve,On the corner street where shadows weave,A neighborhood bar's lights softly gleam,Reflecting in puddles, like a moonlit dream.Whispers of laughter, glasses clink,In the moist air, secrets sync,Raindrops dance on the cobblestone,A symphony of solitude, an atmosphere sown.Through misty panes, a warm allure,Inviting souls seeking an antidote pure,The night unfolds its mystic grace,In the haven of the bar, a tranquil space.“
“My 40th birthday was a great success and a lot of that is due to the wonderful staff at Bar Zoé!Thalia, she was an amazing waitress! She was so warm and friendly! It was like she was part of the family. The drinks and Fondu were amazing!THANKS !“
“Really loved this place! The ribs and chicken wings were amazing. We got a nice seat at the bar. The service was fast, and the staff was super nice. I'd highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be coming back for more soon! Thanks for the great experience.“
“Great experience at Taverne Midwaygood beer not too much expensive and very nice services from all staff. great meal (we ordered only nachos tapas but it was very nice) and FREE billards table in the barThanks for this great moment spent hereeasy to join from metro station“
“We reserved for a big group in the back room. Lots of good drinks, lots of food from the set family style menu and we loved having a space for ourselves that still felt connected to the restaurant. Would definitely reserve for a big group again. Fernando was helpful through the whole process.“
“The service was kind of hit or miss but the food was pretty good! The portions were big, the Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. I had the fancy chic burger and I thought the goat cheese paired really well with the avocado. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and drinks, if I’m I’m ever in Montreal and wanted some classic pub fare I would stop by again!“
“Definitely worth going to Clandestino's. Rare is it to find Tequila and Mezcal selections like this. With bartenders who have a deep understanding of those spirits. Will definitely go back. Sit at the bar with Michel if you can, he'll teach you a lot. ;)“
“No menu, you have to scan a code. No service, you have to order at the counter from a stupid French woman. No invoice either. Luckily the food was good, but at the price of $25 for a plate of scrambled egg, 2 slices of bacon, two waffles and some fruit and a coffee, I won't go again.“
“Really a great experience, we were surprised that there was such a bar at Dix30. The service was excellent at the end of the evening, the staff are very kind and attentive. The only point is that there was the fire alarm for a while and apparently it happens from time to time according to the employees. They gave us chips as compensation…“
