Dès l’entrée, les effluves envoûtants de la cuisine m’ont séduite. Service impeccable, rapidité et fraîcheur irréprochable. 🌊 En entrée, des huîtres sur glace d’une fraîcheur exquise, relevées d’une mignonnette au vinaigre vieilli : un pur délice marin. 🍲 En plat principal, la bouillabaisse aux poissons et fruits de mer — généreuse, riche en saveurs, et tout simplement succulente. We had dinner at Joe Beef on July 3, and it absolutely lived up to its legendary reputation. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into an atmosphere that was warm, eclectic, lively, and full of personality. The restaurant has a charm that’s impossible to fake—it’s energetic without feeling rushed and makes you feel like you’re part of something special.

A huge thank you to Simon, our server, who made the evening exceptional. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and fun, making us feel genuinely welcome while expertly guiding us through the menu. His wine recommendations paired beautifully with our meal, and his enthusiasm for the food and the restaurant was remarkable.

Every dish was outstanding, but the escargot was absolutely phenomenal—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The tomato salad was surprisingly one of the highlights of the evening, showcasing incredibly fresh ingredients with simple, flawless execution.

Simon also steered us toward fantastic wine selections that complemented every course, and he saved room for dessert with recommendations that were the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. Every bite was memorable.

Le fish n chips panko était crispy et vraiment succulent l'autre personne à commandé un steak frites très tendre elle a adoré. le service était très bien et rapide et l atmosphère géniale on étaient sur la terrasse il y avait un chansonnier et cela a contribué à rendre notre expérience des plus agréable ! “While wandering the streets of old Montréal, we happened across this gem of a restaurant. When we entered, it was quite full with a tour group but soon emptied when they all left together. The set course menu had several options -and the food was amazing! The salad dressing was so good, I almost wanted to drink it. I ordered the Salmon and it was perfectly grilled and crispy, with a delicious sauce, and the vegetables and potatoes were perfect. I can't wait to return next time I'm in the area!“

It was so fresh and flavourful we were amazed how well the seabass, octopus, giant shrimp and cod were cooked to perfection and served with a smile to make sure we had properly transferred the food from plater to dish.
