“We drive up from central Vermont to eat at Joe Beef - it's a 3+ hour drive and worth every minute in the car. Oysters and escargot are off the hook every time and the service - OMG chef's kiss. Julien is the premiere server - patient, makes incredible suggestions, knows the menu and wine list like the back of his hand and even elaborates on where food is sourced. Pour la qualité de la nourriture et la quantité c'est abordable. Les 4 cocktails proposé me convenait pas alors on m'en a créer un selon mes goût. J'ai jamais manquer d'eau pendant le repas et avec un service impeccable bref tout était parfait. J'ai beaucoup apprécier d'être bien conseiller dans mon choix de menu. Je voulais commander 3 plats pensant que tout serait petit et j'avais très faim mais le serveur m'a dit que les assiette était bien rempli donc il m'a suggérer de commencer par 2. Effectivement j'étais rassasier après mon entrée et le plat principale donc j'aurais gaspiller un plat et payer plus cher pour rien. J'ai jamais aussi bien manger et j'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner. “Overall, our night for 2 was amazing. We went on Friday April 11th from 7pm to 9h30.

Excellent: service was truly amazing (she was funny, kind, attentive), ambiance and vibes were immaculate, our gravlax entrée left us speechless, good portions for tapas style, the matcha crème brûlée wow!, cocktails are expensive (≈20$) but definitely worth it, and 3 course for 25$ was a steal. Focaccia was amazing too.

Good: the main dishes lacked a little flavour… the pasta was good, but nothing that can’t be whipped up at home under 30 mins.

To be improved: our main dishes took quite a long time to arrive, but understandable as it was busy and the server made sure to check up often.

Disappointed: we were left disappointed by the Asian short ribs that really lacked flavour and sauce. Mainly we were disappointed because the rice was quite undercooked.

But we left this place happy, we ate well, had great cocktails, and for 150$ in total it was worth it (tip and taxes incl.) for 2x 3 courses, 2 cocktails and a beer, foccacia and saucission extra (great portion). We’ll come back :)“

“The jerk chicken! It was delicious!“

“The 4.8 rating is well deserved. I loved the oxtail and curry goat ... Good portions and perfectly seasoned for my tastes. The meat was well trimmed leaving a little bit but not too much fat. The chef skimmed off the melted fat from the gravy leaving just a little. You get a separate big plate of rice and two slices of sweet plantain and a small coleslaw with each main dish.

The "dining area" looks like it's set up to be a juice bar with stools. I guess you could eat at the bar counter but i would only take out or have food delivered.“
