“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.“

“We have found Udson Patisserie when we moved in the neighbourhood 2 years ago. It has been our go to for yummy desserts since. We love the smell, the look, the taste of what they offer. The staff is very friendly and whenever the owner’s here, he never fails to say hi and serve you when available.

“Love this café. Espresso is consistently well prepared and dialed in, baked goods are solid, and of course you have 10+ roasters to choose from for freshly roasted coffee. My only nitpick would be that I wish the house roaster's beans were available as espresso on rotation. The house blend is good but I've had some mind blowing espresso here and I want more lol.“

“Here the bagels are soft, hot and presumably fresh from the oven. These are the best Montreal bagels I have had on this trip (out of an admittedly small sample) . Be aware that there is no place to sit down, so you should eat them on the way to your next destination for maximum freshness.“

Best cakes in my opinion: Strawberry Shortcake (hands down the best one I’ve ever had) and the Empereur.

“One of the last authentic kosher bakeries left in the city. They still make many of the classic treats. Go on sunday when the little Greek lady is there for the best service. The hijab girls have attitude and getting them to give you what you want to buy is like pulling teeth.“

The croissants were flakey on the outside, completely stuffed on the inside (I had pistachio) there were more with delicious fillings but 1 was definitely more than enough.

There was one man working. He was very friendly and very helpful.

I would say if you’re curious definitely try it. The pastries were about $6 each. So not something I would do often. But it was definitely worth the try!

They were located on the first floor, opposite the original Food Court. The manager was so very personable with a very friendly female staff. The delicious muffins were high in calories, yet the best while still unsurpassed. How very nice that Montréal still has one!“
