A bit pricey, yet, the ambience, service and flavourful meal give reason for this.“

We had the Arctic Char for 2 with a side of Gnocchi and Caesar salad the fusion of flavour in the sauce on the Char was heavenly. The fish was done to perfection!! The Gnocchi was unlike any we had ever had and the herb oil drizzle highlighted the perfect texture and flavour of the gnocchi. The deconstructed Caesar was perfect!! “Been to quite a few steak houses in Montreal. With marketing, very difficult to tell the tourist trap from great food till it’s over. The Keg, has never let me down. Service is always 100%. Even with a full front of house, the kitchen has your food out in a VERY reasonable time. Fresh baked bread, great drinks, awesome prime rib, the wedge salad is perfect. Every bite shows the same temp, no black but raw in the middle. It’s shows the streak was cooked low and slow, you can’t fake that, it’s not possible. It also shows they care.“

The most fun part is they have an impressive collection of seafood on display, you can pick your seafood by the weight, and get it fried/ grilled/sautéed!We tried the mixed seafood platter, fish and chips, and fried calamari. “Nothing to say, everything was perfect, the arroz de marisco "rice with seafood" was really excellent, we took the dish for $2 for $80 for Valentine's Day, it's definitely a little expensive but given the quality it's a decent price especially if we compare say with a burger in a sports bar at $50 for around 2 versus a ball of ground meat and seafood, not to mention the service and the atmosphere it's worth worth paying for this little luxury“
