“I was there today with my husband and it was my first time. We had the fish and chips and the calamari dish and they were amazing! They looked so delicious I immediately started eating and forgot to take a photo, but believe me they look better than the photos. Everything about the dishes was good: the fish and the calamari tasted very fresh, the salad had a very tasty dressing, the fries were amazing and so was the rice. The gentleman who served us was very nice and friendly. At the time that we went, approx 3:30 pm, there was only 2 other customers there so it wasn't too busy. “The Legendary Joe Beef. We had the Foie Gras double down, the rabbit, and the veal. This is basically the Rolls Royce of restaurants, you are paying for the name. Food was unlike anything I've ever had and was extremely flavourful, but Canadian shrinkflation means you pay a lot for a little, so I left hungry. Great experience though between the ambience and the staff, it was unforgettable.“

I chose the Tuna Poke bowl which was quite delicious with very fresh ingredients! I finished every last bite of that bowl and now wish I would of purchased a second one of salmon! From the very first moment, the place gives off a warm and welcoming vibe — clean, cozy, and filled with that delicious aroma that instantly makes you hungry and curious to try everything.

We ordered a few dishes, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best Vietnamese food experiences we’ve had in Montreal. The flavors were perfectly balanced — tasty, authentic, and clearly prepared with care. The portions are generous (you definitely won’t leave hungry!), and the prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity they offer.

My husband ordered the beef pho, and I have to mention that it was the first time he ever finished an entire bowl — and that’s saying something, since he almost never eats meat! I tried a few bites too, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, great texture, and a comforting broth that felt homemade.

Without a doubt, I Am Pho just gained a couple of loyal new customers. When food is made with passion and respect for the craft, you can taste it in every bite. This place is a hidden gem in Verdun that deserves all the praise it can get.
