“We went before our daughter’s dance recital and to celebrate the end of the year! It was amazing! We have been to other GLs and this one was super impressive! Our waitress was such a doll. We were kind of all over the place with different ages and our dancer coming in later, however she was able to give excellent service and our youngest was even entertained the entire time. We were there on Sunday before the rush and the atmosphere was great. Anyhow, the food was amazing and all around wonderful experience. Cant wait for the next dance recital when we are in the area! Thanks!“

“Stopped by for a late lunch last Saturday and ended up completely floored by the duck in a can, which the server actually cracked open tableside and it smelled incredible. The dining room has this cozy, wood paneled energy that photographs beautifully in the afternoon light coming through the front windows, so I couldn't help snapping a few shots before digging in. Staff were friendly and didn't rush us even though we lingered for almost two hours chatting and taking pictures of the plates. Portions are huge, the foie gras poutine is genuinely worth the hype, and I'm already planning a return trip with a wider lens.“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“We came here with our two toddlers for an early dinner and were so impressed. It seems to be run with great care and love. Ambiance was perfect - like a kid friendly pub…not too noisy, just the right amount of lighting. Our booth was cozy and roomy at the same time. Enough space for the kiddos to move around and be comfy but still keep them secure. The food was just delicious but it also felt thoughtful and made with love. Bathrooms were pristine and even had a kids step stool. I love this place and it wins as my new go-to family restaurant. Bonus for the amazing beer selection. Great service and super kind staff. A special shoutout to their elevator setup: it's easily the best and most efficient I’ve seen, making trips to and from the room surprisingly quick and effortless. Don't buy the hamburger again, ever since they switched to frozen patties they have been questionable and almost Russian roulette with your results. A real shame because we live 5-10 minutes away and always a better restaurant than other price wise“
