“My last restaurant visit on my roadtrip to Montreal after a floor New York. I had the seared Taylor seared tuna and it was great. I had a Japanese soda with floating balls. They didn’t have takoyaki but a side salad with squid. The atmosphere was great and the ladies who served me were fantastic. It was better than the Japanese places in Pensacola. I don’t know when I’ll be back in Montreal but I’ll try to head there again.“

This is also a great place to bring a date or have a chat with a friend. Music is tasteful yet not so loud you can't hear each other speak. (Other restos, take note!)

Wow, the sashimi was second to none, their makis so perfectly rolled and cut and the fish as fresh as it gets. They have amazing hot food as well. Their wagyu dumplings DELICIOUS! And their crispy taquitos with the salmon tartar... foodgasm!

“J’ai utilisé le système de commandes en ligne. J’arrive chez moi et je me rend compte que je n’ai pas les bons items (mauvaise saveur d’onigiris). Je leur ai écrit sur Facebook pour les avertir, et on m’a rapidement et gentiment offert de venir me livrer la bonne commande chez moi. J’ai eu les bons onigiris et un biscuit en prime. “The ambiance was just as impressive, with a beautifully designed interior that really set the mood for a relaxing meal.

We started with the takoyaki, and it was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with just the right amount of tender octopus. The flavor was rich and well-balanced, making it one of the best takoyaki dishes I’ve had.

The sushi was equally impressive, fresh, and expertly prepared, but it was the overall experience — the service, the food, and the design — that made it truly memorable. I’ll definitely be returning soon!“

“We went on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty quiet so we had no issue getting a table. The service was pretty fast and great with their even being the robot. The waitress working was very friendly. They have a good variety of deserts, with the friend banana being great. Some soft drinks free as well. The only issue was with the deserts, other tables taking the wrong deserts from the robot delayed us but except for that nothing else. They also don't pressure you at all whatsoever which gave it a very nice ambiance.

“Service is great. Friendly but not too much. Efficient and always there when you need something.

What stood out was the food. The branzino was amazing and so were the pasta, the tuna tataki and carpaccio we had. I was somewhat reluctant to see Italian with a Japanese twist but the chef really knows what he's doing. You can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Two thumbs up.

Cocktails were good. The wine list is not very long but our waiter found something that paired well with our dishes.

Despite going there on a busy Friday night, the noise level was pretty low. You can have a conversation without raising your voice.

Would I go back? Yes. In a heartbeat.

“I hate when poke places fill two third of your bowl with plain lettuce. For that reason only, Kioko earns extra stars: their poke bowls are full to the brim with fresh & filling ingredients. The combo mango/salmon/edamame is out of this world. I've ordered their sushis too in the past, with no complaint, except maybe that it's on the pricier side (their poke, again, are decently priced tho so I keep coming back for that). I order ahead of time, it's always ready when I come pick it up, the staff is lovely, atmosphere inside is meh but I'd say it's a take out more than dine in place.“
