“The food is good, the decor is nice, service is ok. I did not like the loud rock music though, very unusual in an izakaya restaurant. The buns with braised pork were cold and came with pickles, still very surprising. I am happy I tried it but it is not the kind of izakaya I am used to. So be aware of that when trying it. And no happy hour offered vs what says the black board. Still worth the try.“

“I ordered online and let me tell you! The packaging was absolutely gorgeous. The food on another level. Wow, the sashimi was second to none, their makis so perfectly rolled and cut and the fish as fresh as it gets. They have amazing hot food as well. Their wagyu dumplings DELICIOUS! And their crispy taquitos with the salmon tartar... foodgasm!

This is definitely the best delivery sushi I've had so far in Montreal. I will be going to try them in person because the pictures of the place look so beautiful !“

Je leur ai écrit sur Facebook pour les avertir, et on m’a rapidement et gentiment offert de venir me livrer la bonne commande chez moi. J’ai eu les bons onigiris et un biscuit en prime. “The food here is great, but it’s not great enough to make it worth the price for me, personally. And I think a lot of people feel similarly because we went on a Saturday night at peak dinner time and it was almost fully empty…

It’s really a shame though because that steak and chicken dinner was delicious! But 60$+ per person with the tip and tax, considering it’s just a plate of meat and veggies that someone cooked in front of you, I don’t know if it’s super worth it. Cool experience still.“

We started with the takoyaki, and it was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with just the right amount of tender octopus. The flavor was rich and well-balanced, making it one of the best takoyaki dishes I’ve had.

The sushi was equally impressive, fresh, and expertly prepared, but it was the overall experience — the service, the food, and the design — that made it truly memorable. I’ll definitely be returning soon!“

“We stayed at the Hampton Hilton Montreal Downtown for 4 nights recently. We ate at the Tiramisu restaurant three times while there. The food was delicious each time and the staff were fabulous. They went over and above to make sure the food addressed my celiac but also other food intolerances. They cooked everything in a clean pan so cross contamination didn’t happen. I had chicken, potatoes and a huge green salad. I had no issues on any of those visits and would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with food allergies. Oh, and I even got a nice email from the executive chef Julien! What service!!!

“This place has some of the best affordable sushi in town. We came in on a saturday evening before the big snowstorm and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were the only customers.

The rolls were great and the fish was fresh. We ordered a few platters and the wait time was fine. However, there was a very tiny issue when we wanted to ask for the bill. We were told the bill could only be given to us after everyone had paid. Fine. We were given the bill when paying.

However, when we got home, we noticed that the restaurant had charged us an extra 2 rolls (+20$) to our bill. It might have been a mistake from the staff, but this could have been avoided if we were given our bill before we paid.. We'll be back in the future as the food was delicious and we had good service, but removing a small star because of the bill issue.“

Royal Sushi is an essential address for sushi lovers, and has been for more than 10-15 years. I ordered there a good hundred times when I lived nearby, and their consistency in quality always impressed me. It is a place that has managed to retain its customers thanks to its authenticity and know-how.

The establishment is run by an incredibly friendly couple, who recognize you even after several years. Their kindness and attention to their customers makes all the difference and makes each visit or order even more pleasant. It's rare to find this level of service, especially in a neighborhood where there's no shortage of restaurants.

The sushi is always fresh, well prepared, and the value for money is really excellent. Whether for a take-out order or a meal on site, you are sure to enjoy yourself without breaking the bank. Honestly, Royal Sushi remains my absolute favorite. A place to discover and adopt without hesitation“
