“This is a warm and charming brunch place. We love the decor all over the restaurant featuring the marine lifestyle of Ile de Madelaine. The food was very good and delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had pomme chaude waffles and it really satiated my sweet tooth. We would like to come back again.“

“It is a very popular spot, which doesn’t surprise me because the food was delicious. I got the pesto Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, the staff was super nice, and we got our food very fast after ordering. My only ick is where we were seated. The table is way too low compared to the bench that it made it a bit uncomfortable to eat.“

The only downside is the waitress,
There was only me and a table to occupy; I had to flag down the waitress for a refill of coffee which I received at the end of my meal.
Not very strong that ●●●
She was sitting at the cash register and playing on her cell phone ●●●
Plus this waitress doesn't speak French ●●●
Too bad
Since the restaurant is really ADORABLE
The plates are served quickly and it is DELICIOUS

They have the best waffles in town, golden and crispy and I love my smoked salmon Benedict eggs. Excellent service, the staff is welcoming. I will be back.“

“Returning to an old huant after almost 40 yrs. Still has its charm and and awesome menu and staff. Stopped in for a midweek brunch as we'd been in town to see a show. The plateau and main are the same and yet different than I remember.
Bagel Ect, still a gem! They served up one of the best brunches we've had in Montreal. I ordered the classic Benedictine Eggs Benedict—perfectly poached eggs, rich and velvety hollandaise, all on a fresh, fluffy base. My partner had the Romanov, a version with lox, which was equally delicious—the smoked salmon was silky and flavorful without overpowering the dish. A special shoutout to their sautéed potatoes—crispy, well-seasoned, and the ideal companion to our meals. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and food done right. Forgot to mention, thier latte are perfect...Highly recommended!“

“I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.“
