“Juncal Mexican Grill & Bar in Cumberland, RI, is truly a hidden gem!! Everything was homemade and delicious!! The “hot sauce” is a must! The drinks were refreshing and mixed just right. The guava moscow mule is a must try! The service was amazing too. Everyone was so friendly and attentive—they really made us feel at home. The warm churros are served with hot fudge and caramel… absolutely delicious. If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, great drinks, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, definitely give Juncal a try!“

“First time as was in town from Newport to see Little Jagged Pill at PPAC. Bartender (Tim?) was excellent friendly, knowledgeable on menu and made great handcrafted drinks. Manager (she moved here from NYC) was also excellent. I ordered the pork loin special, one of my friends ordered to porchetta over grits (I was a bit jealous as it was amazing. Overall a great experience.“

“A really yummy spot for brunch! We had the chilaquiles and sweet and salty French toast, and both were amazing. The French toast was definitely more sweet than salty, but it had great orange flavor and wasn’t overly sweet so we really liked it. The service was quick and friendly. It was busy but not packed, so we were able to get in without a wait for Sunday brunch.“

“Went to the Foxes Hill neighborhood in Providence to try out a Morroccan spot, but it ended up being closed. Luckily, right around the corner was Aguardente, which is a Guatamalen & Portuguese tapas restaurant. Love the interior decorations and warm welcoming vibe. We started with quejo de cabra, rellenitos, & the minha caiparinha. Then we had the batatas fritas, empanadas de pollos, polvo grelhado, & almondegas. Everything from the service to all of the dishes being seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing.“

We chose Hangry Kitchen, just 6 minutes from downtown. So much that I could say about the meal. But I will summarize it. I asked if I could get a side of tomato juice for my beer. (Yeah beer and tomato juice is amazing). They did not have any canned or bottled tomato juice. THEY JUICED SOME TOMATOS! The rest of the meal was just as memorable. “Cheryl and I dined with friends last night at Casa Azul Taqueria at 840 Allens Avenue in Providence. Although the place is small, with just three tables and primarily offering takeout, the food is fantastic, featuring great vegan options. We're definitely going back!“

“Great food, great beer selection, great service, and an unbeatable great view to the operations on the apron. The price is reasonable and comparable to similar quality restaurants outside.

I was there on a day when bad weather had resulted in many delayed and canceled flights. Being able to hang out, enjoy a couple of local brews and a kick ass fish and chips while watching airplane movement was the best thing that day.

This is the best place to eat in the Providence airport by a long shot.“

We started with the Truffle fries and the Crispy Duck Meatballs- oh my both were great! The flavor in the Duck meatballs was amazing! The sweet chili glaze just hits it out of the park! “Believe it or not, I'd never tried Indian food until recently. I'm usually not one for spicy stuff, but this place was so close to home, and I was feeling adventurous, so I figured, why not? And let me tell you, I was genuinely blown away by what I ordered! My girlfriend, who knows her Indian food, totally nailed the recommendation. It was this amazing chicken dish with a creamy, orange sauce, and some perfectly buttered naan on the side. I can't remember the exact name, but I sure won't forget that taste! I'm definitely going back to try more of their menu.“

“We never made it to the old location but we have been going for date nights now for about a year. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is perfect! The music is always on pointe! And we have our favorite waiter, Phil, every time we go! He is as much the reason we go there as the restaurant itself! Great guy!“

“Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

“Absolutely amazing experience. Our server, Logan, was top-notch. He was there when we needed him but did not hover over us and was not overbearing. The food and the atmosphere were amazing as well- the service provided really made the experience memorable. Logan accommodated everything we needed.“

“Dined here last night before PPAC, for that reason we made an early dinner reservation. I confirmed when calling they had valet parking. We arrived to find no valet attendant. After some back and forth with hostess and manager my husband was finally able to come inside for dinner, nearly 30 mins wasted. Our server AJ provided exemplarry service; she was personable and knew the menu like the back of her hand. We appreciated her service, and our dinners were all very good. As we departed we confirmed with the tardy valet attendant if we could leave the car and pick up after the show as we do with neighboring establishments and he said no because they would be closed by the time the show was over; this couldn’t have been further from the truth. The valet was rude, late, and it’s terribly unfortunate that the valet ruined what could have been a great dinner with friends.“

“I love Fili! I came here with family and friends and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The food was truly phenomenal! They have chefs from JWU and they made every single item we ordered scrumptious! Daniel was our server and he was an absolute delight! He was a great guide through the menu and was such a sweetheart! The atmosphere was beautiful, with fresh flowers, charming table settings, and plenty of convenient parking. The menu offered an excellent selection of fresh brunch and lunch options to choose from! We were especially impressed by the variety of mocktails available - our cold brew mocktail was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect spot for a girls' day, and I would happily return again.“

“Came by for brunch on a whim. I don't even know where to begin..1) I can't believe we've never been here before, living minutes away. 2) Absolutely blown away by the vibe here. 3) The food was done right with creativity and craft. It fit right in with what we've been looking for around here and again I'm shook it took us as long as it did to find it.

Our server Grace was amazing, great service and an awesome insight on what we can expect to experience coming for dinner. Honestly looking forward to dinner here!
