“I visited about a week ago to grab food quickly before boarding my cruise. I was in a hurry because the cruise boarded soon, and I let them know. Despite being a bit short-staffed, they were very understanding and got me my food very quickly. Also, the fries are delicious! Thank you for being so patient and understanding.“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “If you want to tell me you've ever had a better smash burger than what Purselane has on offer, I'll have to assume you've been to Bangers in Austin, or you're otherwise a liar.
The food here is absolutely top notch. The tuna crudo and the brussels were also wonderful, and the basque cheesecake was super yummy.
Great drinks, friendly staff and cute digs round out the experience nicely.“

“Went with my son last week for the first time and had the muscles and chicken wings, both of which were incredible. We brought home the mac and cheese, dumplings and seasonal bread pudding. Everything was fantastic. we agreed it is the best restaurant around. I went again tonight with my husband. We had the friend oyster appetizer special and filet, both of which were incredible. Debbie was our waitress, and she was absolutely fantastic. So friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!“

“Went to the Coast Guard House for my daughter's birthday a couple of weeks ago. Our server Julie made us feel comfortable like family. She was very attentive taking care of every need we might have. The food was great. I will definitely be back. Hope I get Julie for a server again.“

“My partner and I got a take out pizza and a Cesar salad. Pizza was fantastic, pepperoni was really good. Cesar was also good, nice authentic dressing. The takeout lady could have been a tad more pleasant, but maybe that’s just me. Regardless, food was really good and we would come back on our next trip to RI.“

“We had a great birthday experience aboard the train & plan on returning many times. We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.“

“Loved this little tucked away spot. The ambience and service was delightful! Also the happy hour oysters were some of the best I’ve had all summer . The fries and mussels with curry sauce is my new favorite dish and I had this dish a week ago and I’m pretty sure I’ve thought about it once a day since.

“Kaylia (spelling?) was a great server and did a fantastic job. Food was great. We had duck and rack of lamb. Apps and drinks were good. The staff made a small error with our order but corrected it immediately. They even recognized our reason for celebrating and made it a very special night. Place is not clearly marked and can easily be missed. Think it was a hidden gem in the resort.“

“Wow, a top New York City type restaurant in Newport. Forget the losers comments from years ago. Dress like you’re going first class. Atmosphere here is awesome…2nd floor is special. Drinks are reasonable and delicious. Our server PATRICK WAS AMAZING. They explain specials and drinks. Most attentive and all foods were perfectly presented. Wanna another drink, ask and within 2 minutes it’s there. We had wild mushrooms and salmon that were incredible as appetizers. Caesar salad was fresh and lettuce crisp. Scallops special had my wife shaking her head. My seafood linguine was overflowing with fresh seafood. The dessert of “Snowball from Hell” can be shared. Our 54th anniversary was unreal. THANK YOU Park next door in Moorings lot.“

“The raw oysters were deliciously sweet. The shrimp cocktail were Double Jumbo size. The watermelon gazpacho was excellent. And the sautéed scallops in corn sofrito were fantastic. A tasty creme brulee finished things off. We'll be back“
