Five stars for the staff who is always so gracious and lovely, minus the one time I was taken aback by the disrespect and unprofessionalism of one of the members. I hope that due to the poor choice of this staff member, that the members’misbehavior doesn’t reflect upon the teams’ sweet and wholesome image.“

“After a Sunday Fun Day of dancing at a near by tavern (it was too crowded there to order food), the hubby and I stopped at Dan's Place for a late dinner. Dan's pizza never disappoints! The toppings are always fresh. The square pizza crust is crunchy on the bottom and the sauce is flavorful. I was craving fish and chips, which I have never had here before. The fish was cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was made just the way I like it and the serving size was generous. It's so annoying at other places when the coleslaw is in the same size side container as the tarter sauce!“

“What a fantastic dining experience my family had tonight. Cocktails were superb, my rare tuna tacos were not only the best tacos I’ve ever eaten, it was one of the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. My wife had the rib eye melt which was equally as delicious, and my daughter loved her Mac & cheese and green beans. I started with white chowder which is typically good no matter where you get it in New England, but there’s was excellent. As good as the food was, it was the service from Alexa that made it so memorable. She was friendly and accommodating like any server would or should be, but she went beyond that making us feel like friends and family. Extra kudos to her for being a superstar. All in all, this was a 10+ dining experience even though the best is 5. Back 40 and their sister restaurants are all the best that RI has to offer.“

Great food at affordable prices with free CoxWifi for those late night munchy runs. Best Honey Mustard in the world and a chicken parm that would make you slap your mother. “The food and cocktails were on point. We had the roasted Brussels sprouts and bacon wrapped scallops for appetizers. The scallops were smaller and lacked a good sear and the bacon lacked a good crisp, but the flavor of the scallops was fresh and sweet. The Brussels sprouts were a good size portion, tender, crisp and flavorful. Three of us had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and found it to be juicy, flavorful and a perfectly done preparation of this dish. I had the beef Wellington and would highly recommend. However, what really set this dinner apart was the absolutely impeccable service. The waitstaff was always right there to refill water glasses, provide fresh plates and cutlery as needed, take orders, etc but never hovered. At the conclusion of the meal, they were quick to bring our bill, quick to pick up payment and provide receipt, yet we never felt rushed to leave. They even refilled our water glasses after we had paid, making us fell welcome to linger and chat. It is rare to experience this level of hospitality outside of Europe and for this reason we will be back and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to actually dine with friends.“

I was raised in Rhode island. we do not have D'Angelo's or anything close to it around where I live now. “Kingston Pizza sits on Boston Neck Road in Narragansett, literally its own small, blue house on the side of the road. Everything else about the place is equally straightforward and literal..
Corrugated metal fronting, chalkboard menus hanging above, a Good Humor ice cream freezer by the door. Drop ceiling with skylights, laminate flooring. Three round stools bolted to the floor at the counter. Behind the counter you can see the deck ovens, stacks of pizza boxes, decorative and some food oriented mascots on the walls. There are booths and tables around the dining area as well as the stools for you to enjoy your dine in choices.
This is a local chain. The Boston Neck Road spot services Bonnet Shores and the surrounding area. As part of the RI FOOD FIGHTS Lord of the Pies event, we went with a Margherita pie.
The pizza came out on a metal tray, about twelve inches across. Firm crust with a golden rim, good color on it. Fresh basil scattered on top, still bright green. Sliced tomatoes visible along with pools of fresh mozzarella. The cheese had proper browning, some spots darker than others where the mozzarella got direct heat.
First bite: crunchy. The crust had real structure to it, snapped when you bit through. This came from a deck oven running hot enough to give the dough some backbone without drying it out.
The tomatoes on top gave a fresh flavor separate from the cooked sauce underneath. Two different tomato experiences. The sauce itself had body, not watery, even coverage across the base. The fresh mozzarella was cooked perfectly, enough browning to develop flavor without getting rubbery.
The basil stayed vibrant because it went on after cooking. Smart move. Keeps the herb flavor bright and aromatic instead of turning it dark and bitter.
New ownership brought in a new, more artisan approach. Fresh dough, fresh vegetables, real attention to technique. You can see it in the finished product. Someone's putting thought into this food.
The interior is basic but clean. Nothing fancy, just functional. You can eat in at the booths and tables or grab takeout. Most people seemed to be doing takeout when we were there.
This is solid neighborhood pizza elevated by better ingredients and better technique. The golden crust delivers. The fresh toppings taste right. Everything works. If you haven't been here since the new owners, it's worth a try.“

“Seems like maybe things are improving. Read the other reviews, but my experience was that I was greeted when I entered. I was asked right away what I needed. There was no line, granted it was at dinner time. The order was made correctly with correct customizations and tasted good as I was expecting.“

“I have lived in Charlestown for over 35 years. This used to be a good place to order food but not lately. I have had numerous bad experiences lately. Tonight I placed an order for 2 hamburgers and a Philly steak for delivery. The order was placed at 5, I was told it would be 45 minutes. The driver showed up at 7. The food is cold, the French fries are soggy, the lettuce is black and wilted. This is my last orderfor them and I live a half mile away.“
