“This has been my husband and I’s go to place for the last few years. Over the last couple of months we have noticed a decline in portions. While we understand that prices are higher for food, you really shouldn’t bump down in quality, just raise the price if you need to. People may not noice a slight uptick in price but definitely notice the portion size. My husband always favors a whole belly clam and scallops plate and last night he was served that combo with only two whole bellies, the rest were just batter pieces and four scallops that were overcooked , it was so disappointing. My surf and turf was downsized from three baked stuffed shrimp down to two and the prime rib was much smaller. While we could have said something, it should have been noticed before it left the kitchen! We are not people to complain and the staff is always great but I guess my point is, we noticed and may think twice before returning and that saddens us.“

“To be honest, I was having a pretty bad day. Spent the day running errands and driving my son to appointments while recovering from a weekend flu. I was exhausted and miserable. Since contractors were rebuilding my kitchen (another story), my wife thought it might be nice to go to dinner. Sure, why not?
We chose Chili's. My wife and son loved their meals. I had an unfortunate occurrence - my food wasn't prepared properly, and I was put off my appetite. Honestly, I know things happen, but I had seen this particular error only in 1940s Looney Tunes cartoons.
When I pointed it out, my server was very apologetic and swept the offending dish away. In about 30 seconds the manager on duty came over to apologize. He took ownership of the situation and offered to personally cook me a new meal as he previously worked as a cook. I thanked him but assured him it was OK.
I know that what I described is SOP for any eatery, but after the day I had, I really appreciated the gesture. He was sincere. That saved the dining experience. My only regret is I didn't ask his name, so I could properly praise him in this post.
So, thank you, Anonymous Chili's MOD.“

“Great food and drinks! Customer service is on point as well.“
“The selection of games was perfect. All the exact games I would have picked to represent each genre. The was ridiculously cheap. every machine was in near perfect condition. We went specifically for pinball and couldn't believe every function worked exactly as intended. We ended up playing all the arcade games too because the nostalgia kicked in. we felt like little kids again.“

“What can I say? Avenue N is definitely one of the best in the state for farm to table comfort food and cocktails. However they really outdid themselves with, what I would call, the new “it” dinner option- the birrio burger. Every bite has flavor & every bite melts in your mouth. I hope this becomes a weekly special due to its uniqueness. My “pear-suasion” drink complimented it perfectly. As always the staff there is top notch. Definitely make a reservation for an epic experience. PS please change up your dessert menu. We need some new creations.“

“Great place to hang. Owners are amazing and the staff are some of the best in the business! Great selection of beers and spirits, free pinball and spectacular decor if you’re a horror fan. Where else can you go and see a picture of an autographed foot?“

“This was our third year stopping for lunch on our annual trip to RI and have LOVED the pretzel sandwiches every time! Was a tad disappointed to see them downsize their pretzel size since last year so over all sandwich was a bit smaller, but still delicious! Love the chicken salad, BLT, and Cali chicken! Soo yummy! Please note that they do not offer changing tables in the bathrooms, so had a hard time changing my toddler after our lunch. Otherwise nice experience!“

“What Cheer is home to a lot of people in the Providence area. I've been coming here for years and years and still love it. Great drinks, amazing food, and fun and friendly staff. Nothing beats a summer night on their patio either watching the game while playing corn hole or watching actual live music. Feels like being at your best friends summer BBQ party! Did I mention they have that too? You have to go on a Sunday to get the infamous Horseman BBQ, you won't be let down.“

“I visited solo for the first time yesterday. I arrived, stressed out from work, tired and in dire need of a month long vacation. I left relaxed, satisfied and felt like I received exactly what I needed. The waitress was very attentive to my requests- whether for a pitcher of water, or for the calamari or for other beverages. The DJ hit the mark with several reggae songs from Bob Marley to Sizzla. Not too loud for comfort either, which was a nice surprise. The calamari was cooked perfectly and a very nice portion. I wish I knew their marinara recipe. The pool was nice although a bit chilly for some, but I found it to be the perfect tonic for my body- very refreshing and invigorating . I went in five times over 6 hours. The crowd was great. I spoke to several patrons and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Everyone was dancing and enjoying the beautiful sun, but it never got too crazy- just the right vibe. Honestly, I’m kicking myself for not going before- where else can you feel like you are at a pool in Vegas in RI? I honestly did not want to leave, but the evening band was setting up and checking microphones as the establishment reset itself for the evening non-pool segment of its day. This is the type of place where if you go once, you will always keep going. I give the place 5 stars across the board and my thanks! I really needed that.“
“Gilligan’s is GREAT! Been my local for a number of years…the owner Amanda has tastefully updated it since buying it, yet kept the great friendly, welcoming feeling. Nice wine list, local crafts & a good place to catch a game! Give it a try“
“Been here for carribean nights and power nights before and always had a great time. But it was my first emo night ever last night, and I had so much fun!!! The lights, banger music, the energy was amazing. The host and DJ were awesome. Everyone was dressed up in cool gear or emo/scene fits.
Gotta say overall alchemy is amazing with atmosphere. When I come I don't feel like I'm always in the same venue, they switch up themes and lighting pretty well. Always had a good time!“

“Ogie’s is the quintessential 21-to-40 something hipster Providence hangout spot. You can eat at the restaurant without alcohol (or age restriction). Its charm comes from a laissez-faire feel: people with dogs, various random bar happenings, high-low culture banter. Food is exceptionally prepared American cuisine with zero health consciousness. I would highly recommend going. It is wicked unlike a local bar, though.“
“This is by far my favorite place to go on a Friday or Saturday. The cocktails are well thought out, the vibe is casual, fun and always enjoyable. I love bringing friends to this spot with the hope they enjoy it as much as we do and continue to spread the good word.“
“Such a great place so welcoming, friendly, overall you can just be yourself. People there give it the atmosphere that it is and always has been.. strongly recommend stopping in. The bothers are great alongside Rosieband others...feels like home♥️“
“This bar has such a huge collection including alternative drinks to alcohol. They are always involved with community outreach which makes spending money there even better. While it is really expensive compared to other LGBT bars, the atmosphere, the selection, and staff make it worth it. There is also outdoor seating and affordable sangrias which are perfect for Sunday Funday!“

“Great place! Wish we lived closer so we could come again! Charlie was AMAZING ? ? Very knowledgeable about the drinks, great personality too. We came in right before a small lunch rush so Charlie had a chance to chat with us for a little bit. Food was great, cheese burger sliders and smoked hickory wings were my favorite! Hush puppies were good too! The seasonal Candy Apple drink was delicious! The only critique I would give would be to add maple/honey/hot honey to their bacon brussel sprouts (I got a side of honey to add, which kicked 'em up the notch I needed) Overall, great experience and food!“

“Super dope establishment 😊🌈
I'm a big fan of karaoke; & not every establishment that hosts it has the right acoustics, or kareoke dj, but this place has both of those variables covered 👏✨
Roomy enough so it doesn't feel claustrophobic, and yet still cozy. The lighting isn't too bright, & so far in my experience, everyone that works here is pleasant and welcoming.
The clientele is also super polite and respectful(keeping in mind that this is my first time here); my one regret is not coming here sooner. 🫠💗✌️“

“I never believed in Spells or Magic until I met this special spell caster called James Hydrick ,The woman i wanted to marry left me 3 months to our wedding ceremony and my life was turned upside down. she was with me for 5 years and i really love her so much..she left me for another man with no reasons..when i called her she never picked up my calls and she don't want to see me around her…so,when i told James Hydrick what happened he helped me with some readings, and after the readings he told me that the other man has done some spells on my woman and that is the reason why she left me..he told me he will help me cast a love spell to bring her back. At first i was skeptical but i just gave it a try…In 2 days, she called me herself and came to me apologizing..I cant believe she can ever come back to me again but now i am happy she's back and we are married now and we live as a happy family..Am posting this to the forum if anyone needs the man’s help.contact him through his email: (divine.spells @ yahoo. com)“
“Rock’s is the place for good drinks, billiards, and darts. The owner, Cynthia, and staff are fantastic. Cynthia and her staff were so extremely helpful from helping with food to making sure we had everything we needed or wanted. We held a birthday party/celebration of life and had about 25 family and friends get together. It was the perfect place for all of us. Some were able to play billiards, while others played darts, and there was room for people to sit and chat. We had such an amazing time, thanks to Cynthia! I highly recommend Rock’s and we will be back!!“

“The Avery - great neighborhood bar and not on the beaten path. But it has a buzz so has become a bit of a destination spot lately as well. If you enjoy cocktails this is yr place. If you come back a 2nd time the bartender will remember your drink. Each bartender has their own playlist so that goes into the mix too.
The app asks about atmosphere. Well for one you can sit outside in Luongo Square - a pocket park where you can watch the world go by on a lazy afternoon. The other beauty of The Avery is its dim light. One review said it is “excessively dark”; well they should go to Chelos. Art Deco interior is also wonderful. And maybe not an Atmosphere thing but drinks are about $10, which does help my mood.
No food - not even chitos, so don’t go there and get upset no food. 🍻“
“Charleys Place has been a long-time local neighborhood bar for decades.
The new owner, Mike and Manager, Riley, have a mix of staff of friendly & approachable mixologists!
Each staff member has their own distinctive witty and upbeat energy!
People near and far... Stop on in!...
Never underestimate the power of positivity or witty conversations while enjoying a cozy, warming environment.“
“MY FAVORITE HANG, IN THE 70,S..!! CASSIDY, STAFF.! WHEN BACK IN TOWN , LOVE TO STOP BY...PEACE.. FITTY.“
“A neighborhood gem. A small dive bar but has karaoke weekly. They have a small limited menu and the draft drinks are cheaply priced between 2-3 dollars. Joe the owner is an amazing guy. The bartenders are decent, fast and the atmosphere is pretty active. Even for a slow night it's still active there.“
“One of the oldest pubs in the United States, just not the same name lol. The Son's of Liberty drank here! They still serve Half-Yards! A beer drinkers Mecca they have dozens of bottles and draft options. Priced right. One caveat, they haven't painted since the Son's drank there so keep a sense of humor. Great place for some suds. I've been a customer for over thirty years.
Dietary restrictions: As long as it's beer or whiskey you are good!
Kid-friendliness: Not!“
“Standard hole in the wall drive bar. Order a screwdriver and get fresh squeezed oranges, I couldn't believe it. Cash only, ATM in the back.
Fun people, they have a touch tunes. Great place to hang out, not spend a boatload of money and have good time.“
