“China Star 2 is probably one of the better Chinese food places on the island. Honestly, the food is consistent which is what we care about. However, I would never get delivery, it should always be picked up. When it is picked up, it’s always hot, fresh and good. But this is the third time we’ve gotten a delivery that took about an hour, on a slow night where we live five minutes away. I called and was told 20 min before my food came that the food was done but they were waiting on a driver. So, guess what… my food came like warm with some things plain cold. A little sad. I can easily recommend if you do takeout, just don’t do delivery or your food is cold“

“These really are good friends.I've been living in Newport for about 8 years now, and while all the others have changed their recipes or management for the worse, this place has only ever gotten better. Their dumplings are by far the best in Newport and my favorite item on their menu.The interior might be a little shabby, but these people are incredibly nice and accomodating, and the food is great.“

“The store setup and general feel is like any other take out, but the people are awesome. It's affordable too, and I love the options. You know how you get say a general tso someplace and 3/4 of it is rice? Here you can order a container of it for $10, just the meat and get a small rice. Portions are great.“
