Everything was fantastic. we agreed it is the best restaurant around. I went again tonight with my husband. We had the friend oyster appetizer special and filet, both of which were incredible. Debbie was our waitress, and she was absolutely fantastic. So friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. “Food was excellent. Prime and Wagyu steaks on the menu. We chose a prime Tomahawk for two. Perfectly cooked. Bread should not be charged. It is a basic feature at a restaurant in this price point. The room was large enough to have good energy, small enough to keep noise at a good level. View is excellent. The waiter was attentive, not obtrusive. The lounge area has club chairs and a double side fireplace, comfortable for before or after a meal. I would anticipate returning next time we are in Newport.“
