“What a fantastic dining experience my family had tonight. Cocktails were superb, my rare tuna tacos were not only the best tacos I’ve ever eaten, it was one of the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. My wife had the rib eye melt which was equally as delicious, and my daughter loved her Mac & cheese and green beans. I started with white chowder which is typically good no matter where you get it in New England, but there’s was excellent. As good as the food was, it was the service from Alexa that made it so memorable. She was friendly and accommodating like any server would or should be, but she went beyond that making us feel like friends and family. Extra kudos to her for being a superstar. All in all, this was a 10+ dining experience even though the best is 5. Back 40 and their sister restaurants are all the best that RI has to offer.“

“Went there last night 6/9 I was a little disappointed that I did have to wait to place my order for a nasty customer in front of me with a bad attitude who took her time harassing the staff. However, once I was able to get to the front counter and place my order I was delighted by the friendly enthusiastic employee Robert who helped me figure out what I wanted to eat. The manger was also very professional and friendly. He also was complimenting and encouraging the other two staff members as I was walking out. little things just make me feel happier giving my money to some places over others. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “If you want to tell me you've ever had a better smash burger than what Purselane has on offer, I'll have to assume you've been to Bangers in Austin, or you're otherwise a liar.

The food here is absolutely top notch. The tuna crudo and the brussels were also wonderful, and the basque cheesecake was super yummy.

Great drinks, friendly staff and cute digs round out the experience nicely.“

“Fantastic Japanese food, unpretentious, delicious, and a real hidden gem. We've gotten take out many times, but the best experience is to eat in.

Flavors are on point, and the menu is varied enough to appeal to vegetarians and not. In addition to excellent food, they serve beer and sake to go with your meal. This is a restaurant that you should visit.“

“It was my first experience at Tong Ta today and the food was outstanding. I have eaten at Thai restaurants all over the United States including some of my favorites in NYC, Houston, San Jose, Boston, and TONG TA is among the best I’ve had and it’s local!. The Beef and basil sauce (Gra Pao) was fantastic, the beef was tender and flavorful, the veggies were perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The chicken satay was excellent as well. “7.26.25 The beer and the venue are a 5, but the burgers & wings were just not good at all. They serve more than just beer if beer isn't your thing. This place is just amazing. Huge outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoors also has lawn seating with Adirondack chairs besides the 2 level patio/decks. Everything is new and modern, and the landscaping is immaculate. Huge parking lot, too.“
