“My go-to order in most places would be a Reuben. The quality of the meat, bread and the balance with the sauerkraut, sauce & cheese say a lot about how the restaurant approaches their food. The 02878 is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will have to find another go-to for other restaurants because they will pale in comparison to Localz 02878.“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! This place reminds us of our local pub at home where everybody knows your name. Thank you for your great hospitality! It made our vacation so much more enjoyable. Thank you!! LuAnn & Steve“

“We were her last year and had to stop by again. From North Dakota. Great chill spot. Good music. Good beverages. We’ll be back later this week for their awesome sandwiches. Highly recommend for getting out of the packed places and grabbing a relaxing happy hour.“

“Very disappointed. My husband says try again on a weekend day. Went Monday 4pm. Food was terrible. Fish was completely dried out. Shrimp cocktail was slimy and sour. Good service. Lovely view. However won't be back“

“I make music, I hit lots of places..this is the friendliest hippest place, filled with terrific folks, great food n drinks and servers who could not be nicer: they welcomed me like family. 5 stars! and great music too!.. the open mic is top notch: go there tell them Papa Angelo sent you.“
“My dad and I went to Jack’s Family Restaurant this weekend. My dad and I live in Pennsylvania, but with recent family events we’ve found ourselves in Rhode Island a few times within the last month. My dad said Jack’s looked “the same as it always did,” and he smiled the entire time. We ordered the little necks casino, clam cakes, clam chowder, and seafood zuppa (and we splurged and got the lobster). Everything was great! We thank the staff and chefs for a wonderful experience. Everyone was kind. The food was delicious, and quickly delivered to us to be devoured. We had a wonderful experience & will definitely be back. ❤️☺️“

“My waitress was great and bring Murphy, my gsd, was a great treat. The Gorgonzola burger was tasty and made to my request. The club fries were awesome and the rest brought home. Never have I brought fries home.“
“Places like this are a real treasure. No pretenses -- just a great vibe, excellent drinks, and a bar man Joe who has found his calling in hospitality. We attended a vow renewal for family and Joe takes it very seriously with the highest intentions and kindness. This place has legit charm.“

“I had Portuguese steak yesterday me and my friend but let me tell you something it was the best Portuguese steak I've ever had and the people are fantastic especially our waitress she was awesome if you want a good Portuguese steak this is the place to go thanks for everything enjoyed it“
