“My dad and I went to Jack’s Family Restaurant this weekend. My dad and I live in Pennsylvania, but with recent family events we’ve found ourselves in Rhode Island a few times within the last month. My dad said Jack’s looked “the same as it always did,” and he smiled the entire time. We ordered the little necks casino, clam cakes, clam chowder, and seafood zuppa (and we splurged and got the lobster). Everything was great! We thank the staff and chefs for a wonderful experience. Everyone was kind. The food was delicious, and quickly delivered to us to be devoured. We had a wonderful experience & will definitely be back. ❤️☺️“

“We are sorry it took us so long to discover The Square Peg. Cozy, old colonial vibe, delicious fall sangria and scrumptious comfort food. Our first visit was a perfect complement to our day visiting farm stands and enjoying a beautiful October Saturday. A bonus is that the location could rival Salem in October minus the crowds. Just perfect. We loved the chili with sour cream, cheese and onions on top, the patty melt and the ahi tuna tacos. All were delicious and reasonably priced. We look forward to visiting many times.“

“We visited Honey Bird back in June. The chicken was outstanding so moist and flavorful. The drinks also did not disappoint, the ingredients blend together so well and zero hang over headache. My 6 year had yummy Mac & cheese with fries.“

“What Cheer is home to a lot of people in the Providence area. I've been coming here for years and years and still love it. Great drinks, amazing food, and fun and friendly staff. Nothing beats a summer night on their patio either watching the game while playing corn hole or watching actual live music. Feels like being at your best friends summer BBQ party! Did I mention they have that too? You have to go on a Sunday to get the infamous Horseman BBQ, you won't be let down.“

“Great place, usually it’s very laid back and not super loud, good place to unwind with some friends, have had incredible bartenders most of the time there, sitting at a table not quite as great, just longer service and fewer staff for the tables, but overall great time there“

“Service was great!
Food was good.
BBQ ribs very tender but Mac n cheese definitely needed more cheese. Turkey club was good as well. Buffalo rangoons could have been warmer but flavorful. It was very loud and at 9ish it got packed with the college crowd, 9:30 live music.“

“Great restaurant, perfect area.“
“Fun and eclectic speakeasy type bar. Drinks were well made and the service was great. Seating is limited to approximately 30 at max including the bar area. Comfortable waiting area outside of the bar if you need to wait to be seated. Knead doughnuts is across the hall. Great options available for a late night snack while you enjoy your drinks. You have to ask about the doughnuts.“
“Great Sunday Funday bar! Came here with my boyfriend after brunch for a lazy afternoon and had a wonderful time. It gets busy mid afternoon so get here sooner or be patient while the friendly staff makes their rounds up and down the long but accommodating bar.“

“One of my favorite restaurants on “The Hill”. The dining experience at Massimo is always a 5 star experience. Yesterday afternoon we had Janelle as our server and she was superb- it made it a 5 star PLUS visit. Blood orange Cosmos, eggplant appetizer, chicken parm, pistachio cannoli, tiramisu- all excellent. Highly recommend“
“The club itself was great, live music was incredible but there happened to be some creepy guys out when my partner and I went. Reported the guy who touched my friend inappropriately to security and they handled the matter correctly. Shoutout to the staff!“
“Such a great place so welcoming, friendly, overall you can just be yourself. People there give it the atmosphere that it is and always has been.. strongly recommend stopping in. The bothers are great alongside Rosieband others...feels like home♥️“
“Rock’s is the place for good drinks, billiards, and darts. The owner, Cynthia, and staff are fantastic. Cynthia and her staff were so extremely helpful from helping with food to making sure we had everything we needed or wanted. We held a birthday party/celebration of life and had about 25 family and friends get together. It was the perfect place for all of us. Some were able to play billiards, while others played darts, and there was room for people to sit and chat. We had such an amazing time, thanks to Cynthia! I highly recommend Rock’s and we will be back!!“

“Very cool unique place. somehow they do things and run the place in a slightly different way that makes them one of a kind pizza place. Pinball was incredible. Well maintained machines of all your favorite that you never got to enjoy because they were broken. Don't miss the Ems in the back past the bathrooms.“

“Do not live here if you care about your car. On two separate occasions my car was vandalized and my roommates car was stolen from the off street parking. The landlords have done nothing to improve the security.“
“One of the coolest bars in the state - and definitely in Pawtuxet Village. A hipster sea captain hang out with great cocktails and some of the chillest vibes around. Piña coladas in the summer are the best, but good beers and cocktails year-round.. and just a short stroll to the bay means there's often a salty breeze to round it the legit nautical feel.
The decor is a more upscale version of Capn Seaweeds (no shade on them - think quirky mad mariner vibe) and still feels cozy. Unlike her sister bar, The Avery, which is blessedly TV-free (which I LOVE!), this place has one TV - but it's actually fairly unobtrusive and pretty fun (they often screen funny nautical things like Boat Zone).“

“The Avery is a stand out Providence date spot. Ideal for first encounters and a brief meeting. As the night goes on the volume increases so best to hit here close to opening. You can forget about getting a drink past a last call. Typical of West End. Overall good.“

“My first experience here. I have to say the service (Megan) was amazing! She knew everything on the menu and then some. Was an excellent Bartender . The portions were BIG and delicious. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed“
“One of the oldest pubs in the United States, just not the same name lol. The Son's of Liberty drank here! They still serve Half-Yards! A beer drinkers Mecca they have dozens of bottles and draft options. Priced right. One caveat, they haven't painted since the Son's drank there so keep a sense of humor. Great place for some suds. I've been a customer for over thirty years.
Dietary restrictions: As long as it's beer or whiskey you are good!
Kid-friendliness: Not!“

“If you don’t like this place I don’t know what to tell you. It’s packed with old Portuguese guys who all know each other from the Azores drinking at 1PM. I am very Irish but it is far better than anything I’ve found in my ancestral homeland. 5 Stars. Use it for drinking and food.“

“great local spot to get together with old and new friends“
“Local haunt, dark and moody, with plenty of comfortable bar and table seating, DJ's spinning hip-hop/r&b/reggae, or bartenders playing random deep tracks from their own personal music libraries.
Fast, friendly service. Cheap drinks. Pool table. The occasional vintage black & white film reels of Bettie Page, or old school music videos playing.
Looking to watch balls get thrown or hit on the TV? Go elsewhere. Craving a super fancy pants drinks? Not quite the place. Want frills? Go downcity or to The Hill.“

“This is a nice neighborhood place to stop in for a bite / beverage. The food is good, as is the atmosphere. We came in before heading to the Comedy Connection up the street and had an order of sliders and some "pickys." If you're in the area, stop in. I think you'll enjoy it.“
“My family has been going to the Son’s since my grandfather (Papa Lou) moved across the street over a decade ago. We hosted my daughters 16th birthday party in the upstairs hall and had a wonderful time. Everyone is very welcoming and I just love the popcorn served. It is a great place!“

“This place is a hidden gem. My wife and I stopped in here late one night and started talking with Chris the bartender. He makes an amazing drink and is extremely knowledgeable about all the restaurants and bars downtown. He ended up emailing us a list of all his favorite places to go and why. Now everytime we go downtown we stop in to see Chris.“
