“EXCELLENT. Burgers here are top notch. Fresh, juicy, flavorful. Make sure to get some extra Mission sauce on the side to dip your fries in. The restaurant itself is super clean and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I own a small burger restaurant on Long Island and this place is doing everything right. They hand you a plastic dinosaur so they know where to bring your order if you're dining in, that's the coolest thing ever. Can't wait to go back!“

“We’ve had a couple meals at the Helmway and they were delicious! The calamari is crispy and done just right, the harvest salad is excellent! The scallops were done to perfection…sweet and tender. The lobster risotto is excellent too! We had the cinnamon toast bread pudding…just wow!! The wine selection is just right! We’ll definitely go back and highly recommend the Helmway!! “For starters. how about filling the drinks instead of bringining a partial drink that's FULL of ice. I asked the server what the deal was. He told me that they are only allowed to put 4.5 Oz or they'll get fired. WTH. That's ridiculous.“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “We were her last year and had to stop by again. From North Dakota. Great chill spot. Good music. Good beverages. We’ll be back later this week for their awesome sandwiches. Highly recommend for getting out of the packed places and grabbing a relaxing happy hour.“

“Came here for Mother’s Day and our table came complete with a picture of my family in a frame. What a nice touch! The food was delicious and our waitress was perfect. She knew exactly what we were going to need having two kids under 4 with us. This is my favorite place in Newport and they hit the mark yet again.“

“Places like this are a real treasure. No pretenses -- just a great vibe, excellent drinks, and a bar man Joe who has found his calling in hospitality. We attended a vow renewal for family and Joe takes it very seriously with the highest intentions and kindness. This place has legit charm.“

“My go-to order in most places would be a Reuben. The quality of the meat, bread and the balance with the sauerkraut, sauce & cheese say a lot about how the restaurant approaches their food. The 02878 is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will have to find another go-to for other restaurants because they will pale in comparison to Localz 02878.“

First off, if you are a sailor, this is your home away from home. You’ll meet other sailors with fantastic stories.

Secondly, if you are not use to the ball busting style of a RI bar tender, don’t come here. You won’t understand. (Hence the reviews from “out of towners.”). But, if you have a backbone and a respectful, yet smart mouth, you will be right at home.

“Came across this pub after looking at many menus along Thames St. This one looked most appealing to us. Definitely a great cozy pub with some authentic touches and great pints on draft. Started off with boxty as an appetizer which were delicious. Entrees were impossible burger and busker burger both great and flame grilled. Now for the pints a huge selection including my favorite Guinness, but one I’ve been searching for on tap is O’Hara’s, and the search is over. Great pour and great fusion Blacksmith. Stop in you won’t regret it!“

“The place always smells very good from the outside which draws you in immediately. Also the food is exactly what you’d expect from a swanky Newport day out. Nachos, brisket, burger and a fantastic drinks to wash it all down. Don’t miss out on this place for walk by it for a second. This place will exceed any expectations.“

What an amazing dining experience we had at Hooked last night! It was our first time dining outside this season, and we’re so glad we chose Hooked. From start to finish, everything was outstanding.
Shelby, our server, was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and truly embodied the spirit of hospitality. She genuinely cared about making our evening special, and it absolutely showed.
The food was fabulous — no surprise with the talented Scales crew behind it all! And the dirty martini with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives was perfectly crafted and absolutely on point.
Overall, it was a truly memorable evening, and a huge shoutout to Shelby for making the experience so exceptional. We can’t wait to come back!“

“Honestly a great cozy breakfast spot right at the bottom of the hotel which makes it super convenient if your trying to get something to eat either first thing in the morning or at the end of your night, the food is also super good so you can't go wrong with anything you pick!“

Marina was clean dock hands were quick with line handling Nice bar to listen to live music either at bar or on boat. Dog friendly marina too. We will definitely be back.“

“Initial service was very good. Music playing was very loud. After finishing our meal no one came back to inquire if we wanted desert or provide our bill. 30 minutes later we received the wrong bill from a different server. I needed to go to the cashier to figure it out. Average at best.“
