Unsweetened iced tea was some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant no chemical taste very rewarding.”

“My wife and I had an incredible dinner at The River House on Saturday night. Bennie and Kadek took amazing care of us and made the whole experience feel special from start to finish. Every recommendation was spot on, especially the crab cake (all crab/zero filler). From the amuse bouche to dessert, everything was excellent, and the view made the night even better. The brown butter chocolate chip cookies they sent us home with were the perfect finishing touch. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Bluffton.”

It was recommended to us by the server and another couple we ended up talking to seated next to us, and it was truly a fantastic recommendation. My husband had the Wagyu steak which was better than any local steakhouse in the area and I had the Lobster Roll which was sweet, tender, and juicy. The service was impeccable and Crudo offers a quant, quiet atmosphere. If you haven’t been, you are missing out on the best restaurant Bluffton has to offer.”

Earlier today, I was in Florida and bought some oxtail from another Jamaican restaurant. It was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. As a Jamaican, that hurt my soul a little. After that experience, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to try Jamaican food again.
Then I stopped by Taste of the Caribbean, and from the very first bite, everything changed. The food was seasoned perfectly, cooked with care, and packed with the kind of flavor that reminds you what real Jamaican food is supposed to taste like. Every bite felt like home.
The oxtail was amazing, the rice and peas were on point, and the service was just as good as the food. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. That’s something you don’t find everywhere these days.
Jamaican food is more than food—it’s culture, family, memories, and pride. Taste of the Caribbean understands that. They don’t just serve food; they represent the Caribbean the right way.

“We went for Dinner with another couple. Parking lot appeared very full but we were seated very quickly. We waited quite a while for our waiter. He was so soft spoken & questioned what we were ordering a couple times. He brought waters, then bread (butter was so hard you couldn't spread it). The other woman ordered soup. It arrived prior to their alcoholic drinks. We were told it would take a while for the drinks because they were shorthanded & the person behind the bar was actually a waiter.
Our Food was very good. I ordered the Salmon & Shrimp Combo. I brought the Salmon home as leftovers. While I was eating the Salmon I realized there were Pinbones in it. I believe I swallowed 2 of them & found 2 more. These should not have been there as prepared by a Chef.
Again, food was very good, however service was slow and Bones in the Fish. Won't be coming back too soon. Not going to say never but we'll have to think about it.”

“Preferably, I do not eat McDonald's; however my family does. Aside from being a loyal customer, I am a door dasher for this specific location. I must say, there are only (3) people I have interacted with who consistently provide exceptional customer service.

Two ladies, are Managers (Melba & name unknown). The last lady is a crew member, (Dominiqua). It is easy for someone to take the time to post a negative review; however, people rarely take the time to post a positive review.

On numerous occasions, I have been conflicted in posting bad reviews for this location due to recurring past experiences with horrific customer service (both as a customer and door dasher) provided by some of the younger women employed at the Drive-Thru window, Speaker, & front counter.

With Melba, Dominiqua, and one other Manager (morning/afternoon shift), you can expect to be respected and acknowledged. These ladies faithfully, without fail, do NOT rush customers through ordering. They will double-check and read your order back to you. They will address any other needs you may have, all doing so with a present and enthusiastic attitude.

These three ladies, are the only people that I look forward to interacting with when it comes to service.

“**EDIT 11/15** I was given another cake from Cake Dreams LLC yesterday. The cake was simple, she used our fur sons as inspiration, which my wife and I absolutely loved. The cake was on point! The chocolate mouse was a great surprise in the middle. The frosting 2as on pount!! It was a true balance of butter, cream, and sugar!! Thank you for going the extra mile it was beyond my expectations. I greatly appreciate the second cake, and truly thank you for doing what you did. The cake was perfectly balanced! Thank You!! 🐾🐾 I was the recipient of one of these beautiful cakes. The details were over the top and just stunning. My name is Orion and naturally I'm a fan of the stars. My wife surprised me for my 50th bday. The cake itself was great. I love lemon flavored cakes and cupcakes, my cake was lemon flavored. I will admit there was one thing I was disappointed with and it was definitely the frosting. I'm a huge fan of butter cream frosting. The frosting however on my cake wasn't sweet nor was it creamy. The frosting had the over powering taste and texture of butter, unfortunately it wasn't edible. I had this beautiful Icake tailored to my interests and likings. I'm not sure if this was a one off, I see a lot of well deserved positive feedback. My wife truly surprised me with this one of a kind artwork. I'm not throwing shade but the fail of the butter cream frosting was something that needs attention. My wife and I have 3 fur babies, the artist included paw prints to include our boys. The paw prints were edible and surprisingly very tasty, fondant isn't always appealing in taste. 🐾”
